Chapter 630 Earth Crystal

Everyone began to shiver, hugging their bodies tightly to try to resist the biting cold. Their teeth chattered non-stop, making a "clacking" sound.

They stared at each other, their eyes revealing a sense of helplessness and fear. The cold seemed to penetrate every pore, slowly eroding their will. Someone couldn't help but murmur, "This awful weather is killing me." The others could only sigh helplessly.

Xiao Yi was still lying there unconscious, his face looking even paler. Everyone knew that if they couldn't find a way to keep warm as soon as possible, they might all be in danger. So, they began to look for something to keep warm in the cave, or to find a way to start a fire, trying to find a glimmer of hope in this cold and darkness.

In that dark cave, everyone was huddled together tightly.

The cold air seemed to penetrate every pore, mercilessly attacking everyone's body. Their bodies trembled slightly, and their teeth chattered uncontrollably, making a rattling sound.

Some people hugged their arms tightly, trying to retain that little bit of warmth in this way, but it seemed to be of no avail. Their faces were pale, their lips were purple, and their eyes were full of pain and helplessness.

The cave was filled with a damp smell, brought by the rain. The ground was wet, and a chill kept rising from the soles of their feet. Everyone's clothes were also soaked by the rain, sticking to their bodies and making them feel even colder.

Some people huddled together, shrinking their bodies as if this would reduce their contact area with the cold air. Their breathing became cautious, as if every breath would take away more heat.

Some stared blankly at the cave wall, their eyes revealing despair, as if they had been tortured by the cold and had lost hope. Their hair was wet and stuck to their scalps, adding to their dishevel.

The cave was extremely quiet, with only the occasional coughs and heavy breathing, as if telling of the pain everyone was suffering. Everyone was enduring the bone-deep cold, hoping that the damn rain would stop soon so that they could regain warmth and comfort.

The long and difficult night finally passed, and Xiao Yi slowly woke up from his coma. He endured the discomfort in his body, struggled to get up, and led everyone to continue moving forward.

They trudged through the wasteland, each step difficult. Unexpectedly, before they had walked ten kilometers, they saw some twisting black shadows. As they drew closer, they realized with horror that they were giant, mutated vines.

Everyone's faces instantly turned pale, their eyes widened in fear. They involuntarily stepped back, and some even nearly fell down due to their panic.

"What is this thing?" someone shouted in horror, with an obvious tremor in his voice.

The mutated vines seemed to have life, baring their fangs and claws as they pounced on them. They twisted in the air, making rustling sounds like the whispers of a demon.

Some tried to escape, but their legs felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead, and they could not move a step. Others waved their weapons frantically, not knowing how to deal with these strange vines.

Fear spread quickly among the crowd. Their heartbeats accelerated, and their breathing became rapid and disordered. Some people had expressions of despair on their faces, as if they had foreseen a terrible ending.

"Help!" "Run!" Screams echoed one after another, and the entire forest was shrouded in an atmosphere of fear and panic. Everyone fled in all directions like headless flies, only to find that no matter where they ran, the mutant vines followed them like a shadow.

Some, caught in the panic, were entangled by vines. They struggled desperately, their faces filled with pain and terror. The vines tightened, and their cries for help grew fainter. Others, witnessing this scene, were terrified, their minds completely paralyzed, their minds filled with fear and flight, as if the world had come to an end.

The vines crisscrossed like a giant spider web, looking eerie and dangerous. They twisted as if alive, emitting a chilling aura.

The mutated vines were seen twisting like mad snakes, sweeping towards the crowd at an extremely fast speed.

As if with a clear purpose, they lunged straight at the crowd. The tips of the vines, like sharp claws, fiercely stabbed into people's bodies. Some people, before they could even react, were pierced through the shoulders by the vines, blood gushing out instantly and the person screaming in agony.

Some canes whipped people like whips, each blow carrying immense force, leaving shocking bloody marks on their bodies. People were beaten to the point of falling to the ground, looking miserable.

Some of the mutated vines quickly wrapped around people's limbs, then tightened with such force that it seemed as if they were breaking their bones. The entangled people struggled desperately, their faces distorted with pain and fear.

The vines would lift the person up high, then slam him to the ground with a dull crash. The person who was thrown felt as if his internal organs were about to shift.

Some vines were directly wrapped around people's necks, tightening more and more, making it almost impossible to breathe. The people being strangled had their eyes bulging out, their faces turning from red to purple, and they tried in vain to grab the vines with their hands, but they couldn't break free.

The scene was bloody and horrific. The people, helpless under the attack of the mutant vines, could only endure the sudden disaster in agony. The ground was covered with blood and the groans of the wounded, and the forest was filled with a thick atmosphere of fear and despair.
