Chapter 665 Injured

However, there was no sign of retreat in Xiao Yi's eyes. Instead, he was filled with a raging fighting spirit. He exerted force with his legs, like a tiger out of its cage, and rushed forward without hesitation.

His figure sped along the dilapidated streets, bringing up a gust of wind that blew up the dust and debris on the ground. A low roar emanated from Xiao Yi's throat, as if declaring his fearlessness to these walking corpses.

The long sword in his hand was raised high, gleaming with a sharp light in the sunlight. His steps were firm and powerful, and each step made a dull sound on the ground, like the beat of a battle drum.

As the distance quickly shortened, Xiao Yi's heartbeat accelerated, but his mind was extremely calm. His eyes were fixed on the zombies in the front, ready to give them a fatal blow.

He swung his long sword, and it cut through the air in a sharp arc, piercing the wind. In an instant, a flash of cold light sent the heads of the first few zombies flying, splattering black, foul-smelling blood.

However, this bloody scene did not frighten the zombies behind them at all, but instead aroused their desire to attack even more frantically. More zombies surged forward like a tide, their fangs bared and claws waving, emitting horrifying roars.

Seeing this, Xiao Yi had no choice but to retreat while slashing. His feet moved flexibly, avoiding the zombies' pounces and grabs, and the long knife in his hand swung non-stop, forming an impenetrable line of defense.

Every swing of the knife was accompanied by tremendous force, and it struck the zombies with a dull sound. However, the zombies were so numerous and kept coming one after another that he gradually felt a little powerless.

His breathing became rapid, and beads of sweat covered his forehead, but his eyes remained firm. While resisting the zombies' attacks, Xiao Yi observed their movement patterns, looking for the best time to attack.

In this chaotic situation, his brain was working rapidly, calculating the angle and strength of each movement, waiting for the moment to break through the siege in one fell swoop.

Xiao Yi slashed and retreated, his eyes as sharp as a torch, carefully searching for flaws in the zombie siege. His breathing was rapid, but he always maintained a high level of vigilance.

Finally, Xiao Yi spotted a fleeting opening. His right hand quickly pulled out the submachine gun from behind his back, his movements smooth and seamless, without the slightest delay.

Then, without hesitation, he pulled the trigger and fired a barrage of bullets at the surging zombies. Bullets whizzed out like a rainstorm, tearing through the air with sharp explosions.

The zombies at the front were instantly pelted with bullets, their bodies covered in blood. Some had their heads blown apart, their brains splattered everywhere; others had their chests pierced, leaving them twitching on the ground.

The zombies fell one after another, and the originally tight encirclement was briefly in chaos. However, their number was too large, as if endless. Just as one batch fell, more zombies came up and continued to approach Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi's face was splattered with the blood of zombies, but his eyes remained cold and resolute. The submachine gun in his hand kept shaking, and the barrel became hot and red from the continuous firing. But he held the gun handle tightly and kept pouring bullets, trying to stop the tide-like attack.

Gradually, Xiao Yi could feel his strength draining away like water. Every swing of the knife, every pull of the trigger, was ruthlessly draining his strength. His arms became incredibly heavy, as if hanging a thousand-pound boulder, and his breathing became increasingly rapid, like a worn-out bellows straining.

However, the terrifying zombies showed no signs of fatigue. They pressed forward step by step, like wolves that had smelled blood. The twisted figures of the zombies surged from all directions, getting closer and closer, gradually surrounding Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi's sight was filled with these hideous faces, and the stench almost suffocated him. His movement space was constantly compressed, and even turning around became difficult.

Sweat soaked his clothes, trickled down his cheeks, and mixed with the zombie blood that had splattered on his face. His eyes revealed a hint of despair, but more of it was an unyielding stubbornness.

Xiao Yi was breathing heavily, knowing in his heart that he was in a desperate situation, but he still held the weapon tightly in his hand, ready to make a final desperate struggle.

His body was already stained with the thick, smelly blood of the zombies. His clothes were stained beyond recognition, their original color no longer visible, and they clung to him wetly. Shocking wounds continued to appear on his body, some scratched by the zombies' sharp nails, others from their razor-sharp teeth.

Every wound sent a piercing pain, as if countless tiny insects were gnawing at his flesh. But he still clenched his teeth, the clenched teeth causing the muscles in his cheeks to bulge and the veins on his forehead to bulge.

Xiao Yi's eyes were bloodshot, and his eyes were burning with unyielding anger. His arm, which was swinging the long sword, was so sore that it was almost numb, but he still relied on his tenacious willpower to resist.

Each attack exhausted all his remaining strength. His breathing became heavy and disordered, and the hot air he exhaled instantly condensed into white mist in the cold air.

Although his body was covered in wounds and his strength was almost exhausted, Xiao Yi had only one thought in his mind: never fall, never surrender! He used his actions to interpret his desire for survival and his fight against fate.

Just when Xiao Yi felt despair and was about to be swallowed by the endless darkness, a ray of hope unexpectedly flashed. His almost distracted eyes suddenly caught a subtle weakness of the zombie group.

His gaze instantly focused, a flicker of hope rekindled in his previously dim eyes. At the back of the zombie herd, there were a few zombies moving relatively slowly. They seemed to have a slight gap in coordination, and the distance between them had widened slightly.
