In the next few days, Xiao Yi "inadvertently" mentioned these false intelligences in front of the woman many times, and each time he described them vividly, as if these secrets were hidden in a corner of the base, waiting to be discovered.
He observed the woman's reaction closely and noticed that there was a strange flash in her eyes after she heard the news.
When Xiao Yi spoke those false information, his eyes seemed to casually sweep across the woman's face, but in fact he was capturing every subtle change in her expression. The woman's originally calm and focused expression froze for a moment, and an indescribable strangeness flashed across her clear eyes.
The strangeness was like a meteor streaking across the night sky, fleeting yet striking. Although it was only a fleeting moment, Xiao Yi, who had been concentrating on the scene, still captured it accurately. That slight strangeness seemed to contain surprise, confusion, and perhaps even a hint of subtle excitement.
The woman quickly recovered and continued with her work, her habitual smile still hanging on the corner of her mouth, as if the momentary loss of composure had never happened. But Xiao Yi knew in his heart that the change in her eyes at that moment was no accident, which further strengthened his suspicion and made him sure that the trap he had set had begun to work.
From then on, Xiao Yi watched the woman's every move with even greater caution, watching for any clues that might reveal her true intentions, waiting for her to fall prey to his carefully crafted trap. Thinking this was her chance, she secretly contacted the outside world. Xiao Yi had already arranged for someone to monitor her every move, and finally caught her.
On a dark and windy night, most people in the base had already fallen asleep, and all around was silent. The woman tiptoed out of the room, looking around to make sure no one was around, then quietly walked towards a secluded corner of the base.
Her heart was beating fast and her palms were sweaty, but greed and desire drove her to keep going. After reaching the corner, the woman pulled out a small communication device from her bosom and spoke quickly in a low voice.
On the other side, Xiao Yi and several of his men were staring closely at the screen in the monitoring room. When he saw the woman's furtive figure appear, Xiao Yi's mouth corners slightly raised, revealing a barely perceptible smile, "Finally, I can't help it." He said softly.
The men were concentrating on monitoring the equipment, not missing a single movement or expression from the woman. They recorded every word she spoke, clearly hearing her passing on false intelligence about the base and her conspiracy.
When the woman ended the call and prepared to leave, Xiao Yi gave the order: "Action!" The soldiers who had been lying in ambush rushed out and surrounded the woman. The strong light instantly illuminated the corner. The woman looked around in horror, her face turning pale.
Xiao Yi walked over slowly, looking at her with cold eyes, "Your trick is over." The woman collapsed to the ground, knowing that she had nowhere to escape. "It turned out to be you!" Xiao Yi appeared in front of the woman angrily.
His eyes were blazing with anger, his teeth were chattering, and his whole body was trembling slightly with anger. The woman raised her head in horror and looked at Xiao Yi's face full of anger and disappointment.
Xiao Yi approached the woman step by step, each step carrying a heavy sense of oppression. "Tell me! Why are you doing this?" He shouted loudly, his voice sounding particularly loud in the silent night.
The woman lowered her head, not daring to look directly into Xiao Yi's eyes, her body trembling constantly. Under Xiao Yi's questioning, she finally couldn't bear the immense pressure and sobbed, "I... I'm a spy sent by another base. They... They threatened me that if I didn't do as they said, they would kill my family."
Xiao Yi's eyes widened and he shouted in disbelief: "Just for this? Do you know that you almost destroyed our entire base!"
Tears streamed down the woman's face as she choked with sobs. "I had no choice. I really had no choice. They said they would let my family go as long as I completed my mission. I...I just wanted to protect them."
Xiao Yi waved his hands angrily, "Your selfishness and betrayal have brought us such a disaster! Those rice seeds are our hope for survival, but you sold us out for your own selfish desires!"
The woman collapsed on the ground, sobbing, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry... I know I was wrong."
Xiao Yi took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. "It's too late to say sorry now. You must pay for what you have done!" Following the clues provided by the woman, Xiao Yi followed the clues and found other bases with ulterior motives.
Xiao Yi took the obscure clues written by the woman and sat in the dimly lit room, his brows furrowed, his brain working rapidly. He carefully studied every word and every symbol, trying to find the hidden patterns and directions.
After several hours of hard thinking, Xiao Yi finally found the key. He immediately summoned the most elite team in the base and prepared to take action.
They set off in the direction the woman pointed, carefully avoiding possible dangers and traps along the way. Xiao Yi's eyes were firm, with only one thought in his mind: those who attempted to destroy the base must pay the price.
After passing through dense jungles and climbing over steep mountains, they finally found a clue in a valley. The valley was filled with an eerie atmosphere and was so quiet that it made people feel uneasy.
Xiao Yi signaled the team to stop and quietly moved forward to explore. Under the cover of a forest, he saw some seemingly random buildings in the distance, and there were patrol personnel around them.
