Chapter 695: Base Expansion Encountered Flood 2

"We can't just passively take the beating. We must take the initiative and disrupt their deployment!" Xiao Yi said with a firm look.

Xiao Yi stood before everyone, his body straight as a pine tree. Although his uniform was tattered and covered in blood and dust, his majestic aura remained undiminished. His eyes burned with a resolute fire, as if he could see through the smoke and see the dawn of victory.

He clenched his fists, the veins on his arms bulging with excitement. "Look at our homes, look at our brothers and sisters, they are suffering, how can we tolerate the enemy trampling on them so wantonly!" Xiao Yi's voice trembled with anger, and it seemed particularly passionate in this tense atmosphere.

"We've been enduring the enemy's attacks, defending, and defending again. But if this continues, our strength will be gradually depleted, and our hope will be gradually eroded." He paused, his eyes sweeping across everyone's face. "So, we must take the initiative and let the enemy know that we are not lambs to be slaughtered!"

Xiao Yi took a deep breath and continued, "We must take them by surprise, disrupt their rhythm, and plunge them into chaos. Only in this way can we have a chance to turn the situation around, defend our homes, and protect our loved ones!" His voice echoed in the empty venue, stirring everyone's heartstrings.

Everyone looked at Xiao Yi, and was infected by his firm gaze and resolute words, and the fighting spirit in their hearts was ignited again. They held their weapons tightly, ready to follow Xiao Yi and throw themselves into this life-or-death counterattack.

Taking advantage of the night, Xiao Yi led an elite team to sneak out of the base and launched a surprise attack on the enemy camp.

The night was as dark as ink, shrouding everything in deep darkness. Xiao Yi and his team members were dressed in black combat uniforms, with camouflage paint on their faces, almost blending into the night.

They crouched down, moving lightly and nimbly, silently moving through the bushes. Xiao Yi walked at the front of the team, holding a sharp dagger in his hand, his eyes vigilantly observing the movements around him.

The team advanced along a pre-planned route, avoiding possible enemy sentries and traps. Occasionally, when the night wind blew, rustling leaves, they would immediately stop and hold their breath until they were sure there was no danger before continuing.

Finally approaching the enemy camp, Xiao Yi raised his hand, signaling the team to stop. He carefully poked his head out and observed the situation inside the camp. He saw the enemy tents arranged in a staggered manner, and the patrolling soldiers yawned and seemed a little relaxed.

Xiao Yi made a few gestures to the team members, who understood what he meant, quickly dispersed, and quietly approached their respective targets.

Xiao Yi rushed to a tent first. Before the guard at the door could react, he raised his sword and quickly eliminated the enemy. The team members also took action. For a while, the camp was filled with short and fierce fighting and shouting.

They moved through the camp like ghosts, each strike accurate and deadly. Some team members set fire to the enemy's supply warehouse, the flames rising into the sky and illuminating the night sky; others rushed to the enemy's command center, trying to obtain important intelligence.

The enemy was caught off guard by the sudden attack and fell into chaos. The team led by Xiao Yi took advantage of this chaos to continuously expand the results of the battle, causing huge losses to the enemy.

When the enemy began to organize an effective counterattack, Xiao Yi decisively issued the order to retreat. The team members quickly evacuated, just as they had come, disappearing into the night, leaving only a mess and panic in the enemy camp.

They shuttled among the enemy troops like ghosts, catching the enemy off guard.

Xiao Yi and his elite squad seemed to blend into the pitch-black night, their figures erratic and elusive. Their footsteps were as light as a civet cat, landing silently, and every movement was as swift and stealthy as a ghost.

A team member appeared silently behind the enemy sentry. The dagger in his hand flashed a cold light in the moonlight and instantly cut the enemy's throat. The enemy fell to the ground without even making a sound.

In another direction, Xiao Yi flashed by like a phantom, the submachine gun in his hand spewing out flames, and the bullets accurately shot at the unsuspecting enemy. The enemy was awakened from their sleep, and before they could figure out the situation, they were killed.

The team members worked in perfect harmony. Some drew the enemy's attention, while others seized the opportunity to launch deadly attacks from the flank and rear. They moved swiftly between tents, appearing and disappearing, making it impossible for the enemy to determine their position and number.

An enemy just raised his gun and was about to shoot, but was kicked down by a team member who rushed up from behind, and then a dagger was ruthlessly inserted into his heart.

Other team members took advantage of the cover of night to climb to high ground and snipe at the enemy. Every shot meant the fall of an enemy soldier, while the others could only look around in fear, unable to find the source of the attack.

The entire enemy camp fell into chaos and panic. They didn't know how many enemies had sneaked in, nor did they know from which direction death would come the next moment. The team led by Xiao Yi was like an avenger from the dark abyss, killing with cold and efficient methods, making the enemy struggle in fear and despair.

This night attack successfully undermined the enemy's morale and bought the base a precious breathing space.

When the dawn light shone upon the enemy camp, a devastating scene unfolded before our eyes: scattered corpses, burning tents, and discarded weapons and equipment, all of which spoke of the sudden nightmare of the previous night.
