Chapter 718: Coveting the Power of the Base 6

The entire base was on high alert, everyone on standby, awaiting Xiao Yi's command, ready to engage the invading enemy in a desperate struggle. A tense and solemn atmosphere permeated every corner of the base. On the ramparts, soldiers stood in full armor, their faces strained beneath their helmets. Their gazes fixed on the distance, their weapons gripped tightly, their knuckles white with the strain. Atop the watchtowers, observation posts constantly scanned the surroundings through binoculars, capturing every whim. Their nerves were on edge, even the mere sight of a bird flying by would have set them off. Inside the camp, soldiers repeatedly checked their equipment, ensuring their guns and ammunition were adequate and their swords were in good working order. They helped each other adjust their armor, their eyes filled with trust and encouragement. Logistics personnel were also busy preparing sufficient supplies for the front lines. Boxes of ammunition and bags of food were quickly carried, their clothes drenched in sweat, but their pace never faltered. The medical team was on full alert, with surgical instruments neatly arranged and medicines clearly classified. The doctors and nurses had serious expressions, ready to treat the wounded at any time. The women were preparing dry food and water for the soldiers, and the children were sensible enough to help pass on the items. Although there was a hint of fear in their eyes, they were more eager for victory. Xiao Yi was in the command center, staring at the map and intelligence in front of him, thinking about the response strategy. He knew that this would be a fierce battle, but he firmly believed that as long as everyone united as one, they would be able to defend the base. The entire base was like a sophisticated war machine, and everyone was an indispensable part of this machine. Everyone was waiting for the call to battle, ready to fight a desperate battle with the enemy for their homes and loved ones.

Sharing a common hatred for the enemy, Xiao Yi informed everyone at the base of the islanders' plot. Upon hearing this, everyone was filled with righteous indignation, their hearts ablaze with rage. In the base's square, people quickly gathered, their angry faces filled with hatred for the enemy. "These damned islanders, how dare they plot against us!" a burly man roared, fists clenched, veins bulging on his forehead. "Do they think we're afraid? Such wishful thinking!" an elderly man trembled with rage, pounding the ground with his cane. The young people were even more excited, rubbing their fists, eager to rush out and fight the enemy to the death. "We must show them we're not to be trifled with!" a young man shouted, his eyes gleaming with determination. The women were no less resolute, their teeth clenched, their eyes filled with anger and determination. "For our homeland, for our loved ones, we must fight them!" a mother, holding her child, said in a trembling but powerful voice. Someone in the crowd began to chant, "Unite as one, and together we will resist the foreign enemy!" Others responded, their voices rising in volume, resounding throughout the base. "We will never surrender, and we will never let their plot succeed!" a man who looked like an intellectual raised his arms and shouted, his voice brimming with anger and conviction. Everyone chimed in, and the air thickened with anger. Hatred for the islanders filled everyone's heart, a shared resolve spreading through the crowd, like an invisible, powerful force, ready to meet the coming challenge.

"How dare these guys commit evil on our land? We must not let them go!" someone in the crowd shouted. The cry was like the ignition of a powder keg, instantly igniting everyone's anger. The speaker was a young man, his face flushed red. His eyes were wide, veins bulging on his forehead, and the veins in his neck bulged with excitement. "Our homes, our land, how can we allow them to trample on it!" He waved his fists, his voice hoarse with anger. The people around him responded in unison. "Yes, we must not let them go!" a middle-aged man gritted his teeth, his face contorted with anger. "Everything we worked so hard to build, we can't let these invaders destroy!" A thin woman followed suit, shouting, "They can't do whatever they want here. We'll make them pay!" Her eyes burned with rage, as if she wanted to burn those evildoers to ashes. An elderly man raised his hand tremblingly, his voice trembling but full of strength: "Children, we must unite to defend our land and our dignity!" "Never let them go! Never let them go!" The crowd's shouts rose in volume, the entire square engulfed in a raging fire of anger. The emotions surged like a surging wave, unstoppable. Everyone was gripped by this overwhelming fury, a single thought in their hearts: resist resolutely, and make sure those who dared to invade never return!

For a moment, the entire base was filled with a shared hatred of the enemy, everyone determined to unite and fight the foreign enemy together. From the square to the streets, from the residential areas to the work areas, an atmosphere of mingled anger and determination permeated every corner. Groups of people gathered, passionately discussing countermeasures, their voices fervent and resolute. In the community garden, several elderly people sat on benches. Despite their advanced age, the fighting spirit in their eyes remained undimmed. "We've lived for so many years and have seen many ups and downs. We will definitely make it through this time!" a white-haired man said, clapping his hands vigorously on his knees. In the factory, workers put down their tools and huddled together. "Let's work harder and produce more weapons and supplies to prepare for battle!" The team leader waved his arm, and the workers responded in unison, their eyes filled with determination. In the school, the children stopped laughing and playing, their faces serious, their small fists clenched tightly. "We must grow up quickly and join the adults in defending our homeland!" A childish voice echoed, and the other children nodded. Inside the barracks, the soldiers' morale was even higher. Fully armed, they engaged in intensive training, their chants resounding. "For the motherland, for the people, we are invincible!" Every charge, every shot fired, was punctuated by a resolute resolve and fearless courage. Women formed a logistics team, busily preparing food and medical supplies. "We must contribute to the rear, so that the soldiers on the front lines have no worries!" said a woman, mending clothing. The entire base seemed like a giant beehive, each one like an industrious bee, toiling and striving for a common goal. With a single purpose and a united effort, their unity was as unbreakable as steel. The atmosphere of shared hatred for the enemy instilled in everyone the conviction that no matter how powerful the enemy, they would prevail.
