During his time in the First-Class Guards, Xiao Yi's outstanding performance was truly remarkable. He consistently achieved top marks in training and was resolute and resolute in his missions, becoming the very backbone of the Guards. However, only he knew that beneath this seemingly calm surface lay a profound crisis. Throughout the base, while life continued as normal, Xiao Yi could keenly sense the tension that permeated the air. Communication between ordinary people and those with special abilities had become increasingly rare, and their glances were often guarded and hostile. In public areas, even the slightest friction could ignite a heated argument. Xiao Yi observed that in the workplace, those with special abilities, due to their superior abilities, occupied important positions and received more resources, while ordinary people were relegated to basic, laborious tasks. Their resentment was quietly simmering. At school, this atmosphere was also affecting the children, with those with special abilities and those with ordinary abilities forming their own cliques, mutually exclusive. Conflicts over resource allocation became increasingly acute. Limited supplies always prioritized the needs of those with special abilities, leaving ordinary people with only the leftovers, making life increasingly difficult. Xiao Yi heard the ordinary people's private complaints grow louder and louder, their suppressed anger threatening to burst forth. Meanwhile, those with ulterior motives began to secretly stir up conflict, exacerbating the situation. They spread rumors, sowed panic, and attempted to provoke further conflict. The base's management seemed overwhelmed, their policies formulated and implemented in ways that failed to balance the interests of both sides. Xiao Yi knew that this was like a volcano about to erupt; the apparent calm was only temporary. Once a spark was lit, the long-simmering conflicts within the base would erupt like lava, bringing devastating consequences. Despite his outstanding performance in the guard team, he felt his own powerlessness in the face of this impending crisis. Yet, he remained vigilant, ready to do his utmost to safeguard the peace of the base should a crisis erupt.
"We must find a way to resolve this problem. We can't let it get any worse." Xiao Yi frowned, pacing his room, his heart filled with worry. He paused and gazed out the window, the base in sight. But what he saw was no longer the prosperity and harmony of the past, but a veneer of crisis lurking beneath the surface of calm. Xiao Yi knew time was running out; every second of delay could only worsen the situation. He sat down at his desk, took out a sheet of paper, and began to list the current problems. The uneven distribution of resources between ordinary people and those with special abilities, the blocked channels of communication, the misunderstandings and prejudices between the two sides... He meticulously noted each problem, each one weighing heavily on his mind like a heavy stone. Xiao Yi pondered how to approach the problem. Perhaps he could organize some small-scale exchange activities, giving both sides an opportunity to sit down and calmly discuss their ideas and needs. But he worried that in the current tense atmosphere, such activities might only provoke conflict. Then he considered the idea of education. By implementing collaborative classes and activities, they could foster a sense of solidarity and cooperation among children from an early age, freeing the new generation from the constraints of prejudice and conflict. However, this was a long-term process, and whether it would be effective before a full-blown crisis erupted remained uncertain. Xiao Yi considered proposing to the base's management to adjust resource allocation policies to ensure greater fairness and justice. However, he also understood that this would inevitably impact the interests of some and might face strong opposition and resistance. He scribbled endlessly on paper, ideas and strategies constantly emerging, only to be rejected and refined. Xiao Yi's mind raced, his mind intensely focused, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. "Perhaps I could start with those around me and gradually expand my influence," Xiao Yi muttered to himself. He decided to first have a frank conversation with his teammates in the Guards, hoping to gain their support and assistance. Then, together, they could influence more people, creating a force for change. Xiao Yi took a deep breath, his gaze determined as he gazed at the page he had filled with writing. He knew the road ahead was fraught with difficulties and challenges, but he was prepared. No matter how difficult it might be, he would strive to break the impasse and bring peace and hope to the base. Xiao Yi led his team, and at first, everyone was high-spirited, confidently pressing forward with their plans toward their goals. Their eyes gleamed with determination, as if they had already seen the dawn of success. But reality soon struck them hard. The plan, once thought foolproof, proved riddled with flaws during implementation. First, critical equipment malfunctioned, requiring extensive repairs in both time and money. Then, a partner suddenly reneged on their agreement, withdrawing crucial resources. Disagreements also arose within the team, with members arguing endlessly over the next course of action. Changing market conditions exacerbated the situation, as the once-optimistic demand plummeted, putting product sales in jeopardy. Policy adjustments unravelled some of their previous preparations, necessitating replanning and approvals. Suppliers reported raw material shortages and significant price increases, drastically increasing costs. Unexpected problems, one after another, like surging waves, hit them one after another. Every time they solved a problem, new ones would quickly emerge, making the progress of the plan like struggling through thorns and making every step difficult. However, Xiao Yi and the others did not give up easily. They gritted their teeth and worked hard to find a way out of the predicament.
