"As long as we're alive, no matter how hard it is, we can endure it." These resolute words echoed softly through the crowd, brimming with determination and courage. Eyes met, their gazes gleaming with mutual support. A haggard old man, his voice hoarse yet powerful, said, "Children, don't be afraid. As long as we're alive, this little hardship is nothing." His eyes revealed the fortitude of a man who had endured so much. A young mother hugged her child tightly, her voice trembling slightly but filled with strength: "Baby, we must hold on. As long as we're alive, there's hope for the future. No matter how great the difficulties, we can overcome them." The child nodded, half understanding, his eyes growing more resolute. A sturdy man clenched his fists and shouted, "Listen everyone! As long as we're alive, all the suffering we're enduring is nothing. Let's cheer each other up, and we can do it!" His words were like a torch, igniting a fire in the hearts of the people. Voices echoed in unison. "Yes, as long as we can survive!" "No matter how hard it is, we're not afraid!" "Let's keep going together, we can definitely get through this!" Everyone's face was filled with exhaustion, but their words of encouragement flowed like a warm current through this icy environment, warming each other's hearts. Their voices might have been filled with fear and trembling, but more importantly, they expressed their perseverance in life and their hope for the future. In these difficult times, they clung to each other, sharing courage and strength through words, believing that as long as they were alive, they had the chance to embrace a better tomorrow and overcome all the hardships before them.
Xiao Yi's gaze fixed on the tragic scenes unfolding within the large lifeboat. First, shock and compassion filled his eyes, then a fierce determination gradually ignited. His teeth bit his lower lip, turning it pale. His hands unconsciously clenched into fists, his nails digging into his palms, yet he felt no pain. Xiao Yi's breathing became heavy and rapid, his chest heaving violently. He repeated to himself over and over again: "This kind of tragedy cannot happen again. People cannot suffer such injustice again." He recalled the huddled crowds, the helpless cries of children, the desperate eyes of the elderly, and the pain and struggle of the people fighting for survival. Every image pierced his heart like a sharp blade. Xiao Yi vowed silently, a voice echoing in his mind: "If I can escape safely, I will work hard to improve this situation, no matter the cost!" He seemed to see his future self, campaigning for this goal, advocating for reform, and fighting against the forces of injustice to the bitter end. His resolve was as strong as steel, unwavering. Despite the hardships and obstacles ahead, he refused to retreat. He knew this wasn't just a promise to himself, but a responsibility to those who were suffering. A burning fire had ignited within him, a fire that would guide him forward courageously, never giving up in pursuit of his great goal.
"We can't let such a tragedy happen again." Xiao Yi spoke slowly, his voice soft but undeniable. His eyes, no longer filled with the previous confusion and fear, were now filled with determination. It was a resolve that ran deep, like a star shining brightly in the darkness. His gaze was fixed straight ahead, as if he could pierce through the present predicament and see the future. Every gleam in his eyes spoke of his inner resolve, without a trace of hesitation or wavering. His resolute gaze was filled with sorrow and anger for past tragedies. He seemed to see the children crying in the chaos, the people struggling desperately, the innocent souls who lost their lives. Each image pierced his heart, making his resolve even more unbreakable. At the same time, he was filled with hope and responsibility for the future. He knew that preventing such tragedies from happening again would involve countless difficulties and challenges, but he was undaunted. He believed that with perseverance, he would find a way to change and create a fairer and safer environment for everyone. A gentle strength lingered in his eyes. That was a respect and care for life. He longed to use his efforts to help everyone avoid such disasters and live a peaceful and happy life. He stared firmly into the distance, his determined eyes as if declaring to the world that he would sacrifice everything for this goal.
In this boundless darkness and silence, time seemed to stretch infinitely, every minute and every second stretching infinitely longer. Inside the small lifeboat, Xiao Yi and the others huddled close together. Xiao Yi's gaze alternated between the hatch and the dim light overhead, anxiety spreading like a weed. His fingers tapped unconsciously on his leg, the rapid rhythm betraying his inner unease. Some of his companions closed their eyes, lips trembling slightly as they silently prayed. Others had glassy eyes, lost in deep thought, perhaps reminiscing about the good old days or imagining the possibilities of the future. Inside the large lifeboat, the situation was even worse. The cramped space made it nearly impossible to move, forcing them to remain in rigid postures. A heavy, oppressive atmosphere hung in the air, the children's cries growing hoarse, and the adults' faces were filled with exhaustion and despair. They didn't know how much longer they had to wait, or when this torment would finally end. Every slight jolt, every strange sound, set everyone's nerves on edge. Every hopeful glance outside the cabin was met with only disappointment. Their hearts vacillated between hope and despair, a torment that made the hours seem even longer and more unbearable. The long wait agonized their souls. Their minds were torn between fear and anticipation, as if trapped in a dark hole with no end, groping alone in the darkness, hoping for a glimmer of hope. Outside, a deafening crackling sound rang like the tolling of Doomsday's bell. It was like countless demons frantically hammering on the gates of hell, each blow carrying an unbridled fury. Or perhaps it was as if a raging thunderstorm had exploded overhead, lightning ripping the sky apart, thunder roaring relentlessly amidst the rolling dark clouds. The crackling sound was like an ancient beast, freed from its shackles, stampeding furiously upon the earth. Every step shook the mountains and rivers, and the streams flowed backwards. It was like a runaway train, crashing through everything with devastating force. The friction and collision of metals produced a sharp, piercing whine. It was like the collapse of the universe, the falling of stars, meteorites slamming into the ground with blazing flames, triggering a series of earth-shattering explosions. The crackling roar was a symphony of destruction, leaving one's hair standing on end and trembling with fear.
