The agonizing wait for the arrival of an unknown crisis tormented their hearts. Yet, the outside world's prying eyes showed no sign of abating, instead growing more frequent and bolder, like a ferocious beast approaching from the darkness, intensifying the tension and nearly overwhelming them.
