Just as they were eagerly preparing to further explore this mysterious place, something unexpected happened. Without warning, the cave began to shake violently. At first, it was a gentle tremor, as if the earth had awakened from its slumber and stretched. But then, the shaking intensified dramatically, sending the entire cave into a frantic tremor. From above, countless rocks rained down like raindrops. Some were small, clattering to the ground with a resonant sound; others were immense, roaring down with destructive force. The team members were instantly plunged into utter panic. Their gaze shifted back and forth between the falling rocks and the mysterious crystal ball, bewildered. Xiao Yi shouted, trying to calm everyone, but his voice was quickly drowned out by the roar of the cave. The shaking ground unsteadied them, causing them to stumble. Each falling rock posed a new danger, striking the instruments with dazzling sparks and colliding with the crystal ball with a dull thud. Huge cracks began to appear in the walls, and rubble and dust filled the air, blurring vision. The once peaceful core area instantly transformed into a scene of apocalypse. The shaking continued, and the falling rocks accelerated, as if the entire cavern would collapse, burying them forever in this endless darkness.
Xiao Yi shouted, "Run!" The team members, waking from their dreams, exerted all their strength, sprinting towards the cave entrance. Their footsteps echoed chaotically in the swaying cavern, their breaths rumbling like the wind. Fear and determination were written on every face, their only thought in mind: survival! Xiao Yi rushed ahead, his eyes determined and anxious, dodging falling rocks and sudden pits. The others followed closely behind, shouting to each other to be on the lookout for danger. However, the danger behind them was relentless, chasing them relentlessly. The falling rocks grew in number and size, as if the entire cave were collapsing, burying them completely. A massive rock crashed down behind them, sending up a shower of rubble and dust that narrowly missed one of the team members. They dared not look back, but could only move their legs with all their might, their hearts pounding. As they ran, someone stumbled, but their companions, without hesitation, reached out to pull them up and continued their charge. Every second seemed like a long torture, and every step was filled with unknown dangers. Xiao Yi's throat was already hoarse from shouting, but he still kept encouraging everyone: "Hurry! We're almost there!" However, the cave entrance still seemed so far away, and the roar and falling rocks behind them were getting closer and closer, as if the shadow of death was constantly approaching, about to swallow them up.
Amidst the chaos and terror of their escape, a massive rock, the size of a mountain, crashed down upon one of the team members with a despairing roar. The soldier didn't even have time to scream before he was instantly buried beneath the weight. Dust billowed, obscuring everyone's view, but it couldn't hide the heartbreaking scene. Xiao Yi's eyes widened in disbelief and deep sorrow. He paused, wanting to rush to the rescue, but his mind held him back in the nick of time. His heart felt as if it were pierced by thousands of arrows, and pain surged like a tidal wave. The soldier's usual voice and smile flashed through his mind. They had fought side by side, shouldering hope together. But Xiao Yi knew clearly that now was not the time to grieve. He gritted his teeth, his eyes welling with tears, but he fought hard to hold them back. "We must get out alive! Only by staying alive can we find a way to save everyone!" Xiao Yi roared at the top of his lungs, his voice faint and resolute amid the roar of the cavern. He turned, heartbroken and resolute, and continued his sprint toward the cave's entrance. Every step felt like a desperate struggle against fate. He knew he carried the hopes of his fallen teammates on his shoulders. He couldn't stop, couldn't give up, even though the path ahead was filled with uncertainty and danger. In that crucial moment, they mustered every ounce of their strength and finally escaped the deep, dark cavern that seemed to swallow them forever. However, fate seemed determined not to let them go. The surging waves, like a raging beast, relentlessly pounded the small boat they depended on for survival. In an instant, the boat capsized in the raging waves, sending them into a state of utter panic. With no other choice, they clung to the floating planks of wood, as if grasping at straws. The icy water pounded against their bodies, the salty taste filling their mouths and noses. Their bodies rose and fell with the waves, powerless, like a lone leaf abandoned by the world, adrift on the vast ocean. With each wave, their hearts leaped into their throats, unsure if they would be completely swallowed by the sea in the next moment. But the will to survive kept their hands tightly, clinging to the wooden planks, not daring to let go for even a moment.
On the boundless sea, they drifted on floating planks, exhausted physically and mentally, the flame of hope nearly extinguished in their hearts. However, just as they were about to sink into the abyss of despair, new hope quietly dawned, like the light of dawn. Fortunately, amidst the seemingly endless wait, a massive mobile base appeared in their sight. Like a steel fortress, it steadily moved forward across the sea. When the crew on the lookout spotted them struggling on the surface, the base quickly adjusted its course and approached them. Rescuers swiftly sprang into action, casting ropes and lowering life ladders. Their once bleak eyes were rekindled with a fierce desire to survive, and with every ounce of strength they possessed, they struggled towards the ladders and ropes. Finally, through their concerted efforts, they were successfully rescued one by one and set foot on this mobile base filled with hope. In that moment, they felt an unprecedented warmth and peace of mind, as if they had returned from hell to the human world.
