The moment it came into contact with the zombie, a powerful force erupted. The zombie's body was pierced by the long knife, and the power of fire and lightning raged through its body, ultimately destroying it completely.
But Xiao Yi also took a few steps back due to the reaction force of this attack and almost fell to the ground. At this moment, several zombies took the opportunity to pounce on him.
"Xiao Yi! Be careful!" the survivors behind him exclaimed.
Xiao Yi endured the pain in his body, turned around and swung his sword again, killing the zombies that were rushing towards him.
The battle continued, and Xiao Yi and the survivors' physical strength was gradually depleted. But they did not give up and continued to hold their position.
Finally, after a long and fierce battle, the zombies' attack began to weaken. Xiao Yi seized this opportunity and unleashed his last powerful ability to wipe out the remaining zombies in one fell swoop.
When the last zombie fell, Xiao Yi also collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath. The survivors gathered around him, their eyes full of admiration and gratitude.
"We won!" cheers rang out among the ruins.
Xiao Yi gazed at the sky, knowing that this was only one victory in a long battle; more challenges awaited them. But as long as they had faith and courage, they would surely survive this apocalyptic world. The storm of doom swept across the world, zombies roamed, and humanity's survival was reduced to a mere handful. Amidst this desolate ruins lay a base called "Hope," humanity's last bastion.
Xiao Yi stood atop the base's observation tower, his gaze fixed on the approaching zombie horde. He gripped his spear tightly, his heart filled with worry. This was the umpteenth attack the base had endured, and this time, the number of zombies seemed greater than ever.
"Prepare for battle!" Xiao Yi shouted loudly, and his voice echoed in the base.
The soldiers quickly assembled and took their positions. Their eyes revealed determination and resolve, but also a hint of fatigue.
The battle began, the sounds of gunfire and shouts intertwined. Xiao Yi led the charge, charging into the zombie horde, his spear wielding like a dragon emerging from the sea, each thrust creating a trail of blood.
The other soldiers also did not flinch, using their weapons to fight back against the zombies' attack. The flames from the flamethrowers instantly ignited a group of zombies; the machine gun fire caused the zombies in the front row to fall.
However, the zombies seemed tireless and kept pouring in. The battle lasted for a long time, and the soldiers at the base gradually felt exhausted, but they still held their posts.
Xiao Li was a young soldier. His arms were already sore from the prolonged shooting, but he gritted his teeth and kept pulling the trigger. "We can't let these monsters break through our defenses!" he thought, his eyes filled with stubborn determination.
Lao Zhang was a seasoned veteran. He had already chopped down dozens of zombies with his sword, but his strength was rapidly depleting. His breathing became heavy, but the power of each swing of the sword remained undiminished.
Xiao Yi looked at the exhausted figures of the soldiers, his heart filled with emotion and worry. He knew that this was not a solution and he had to find a way to break the deadlock.
"Everyone hold on! We will definitely win!" Xiao Yi encouraged the soldiers loudly.
At this moment, a huge zombie broke through the defense line and pounced on a wounded soldier. Xiao Yi was quick-witted and flew over, shooting the zombie away with a single shot.
As time passed, the soldiers' strength grew weaker and weaker, and casualties gradually increased. But their will never wavered. They all had one belief in their hearts, which was to defend the base and protect the last hope of mankind.
Nurse Wang was busy in the medical tent in the rear, trying her best to treat every injured soldier, but there were very few medicines and medical equipment left.
"You must hold on!" She prayed silently while bandaging the injured.
On the battlefield, the air was filled with smoke and the smell of blood. The soldiers' bodies were covered with blood and sweat, but their eyes remained firm.
Xiao Yi's body was also covered with wounds, but he seemed to feel no pain. He kept shuttling back and forth on the battlefield, appearing wherever there was danger.
"Brothers, let's fight for the future of mankind!" Xiao Yi's voice was hoarse, but full of strength.
Encouraged by Xiao Yi, the soldiers regained their spirits and put up a more tenacious resistance.
As the sun began to set, the battle raged on. Despite the ferocious zombie attacks, the soldiers held their ground, unable to breach the base's core defenses.
Finally, as night fell, the zombies' attacks began to slow down. Xiao Yi seized the opportunity and led the soldiers in launching a counterattack, pushing the zombies back a distance.
"Don't let your guard down!" Xiao Yi shouted.
The soldiers did not dare to slack off at all and continued to maintain their fighting state.
As the dawn broke, the zombies finally retreated, and the soldiers collapsed on the ground in exhaustion. They had successfully defended the base, but at a heavy price.
Xiao Yi looked at the devastated battlefield and secretly vowed in his heart that he must let mankind rise again from the ruins.
Amidst the ruins of the apocalypse, a lone city stands, humanity's last refuge. Known as "Dawn City," the warriors atop its walls are engaged in a desperate battle against the oncoming zombie horde.
Xiao Feng gripped the submachine gun tightly in his hand and fired wildly at the zombies that were surging like a tide below the city. His eyes were full of determination and perseverance, but the continuous shooting had made his arms numb.
