The laboratory alarm suddenly sounded, and the red warning light began to flash. Xiao Yi could feel that a powerful energy was gathering deep underground.
"You're crazy!" Dr. Lin exclaimed. "You'll die too!"
"Death?" the doctor laughed. "Devoting oneself to science is such an honor!"
Xiao Yi was silent for a moment, then suddenly laughed, "Doctor, you made a mistake."
"Oh? What's wrong?"
"You're too dependent on that controller." Before Xiao Yi finished speaking, a bolt of lightning struck the doctor's wrist.
However, to Xiao Yi's surprise, the moment the lightning touched the doctor's body, it was blocked by an invisible barrier.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk," the doctor shook his head. "Mr. Xiao, do you think I'm defenseless? This lab is full of energy-absorbing devices. Your lightning abilities are useless here."

A blue energy bullet hit a device on the ceiling, and the lights throughout the laboratory suddenly flickered.
"You...how do you know..." The doctor's voice began to tremble.
"It's very simple," Xiao Yi said as he continued to shoot at other devices. "Since you can absorb my energy, it means that these devices are connected as a whole. As long as one of them is destroyed..."
As the last device was destroyed, Xiao Yi felt the energy in his body become active again. The doctor's face turned pale, and he pressed the controller frantically, but there was no response.
"Now," Xiao Yi's body began to wrap around lightning, "it's time to settle our accounts."
At this moment, a loud noise suddenly rang out from deep within the laboratory. A huge incubator suddenly ruptured, and a massive figure slowly stood up.

When the figure fully emerged into the light, Xiao Yi and Dr. Lin both gasped. It was a giant three meters tall, covered in metallic scales, with a pair of enormous fleshy wings sprouting from its back. Most terrifyingly, its face still vaguely resembled human features.
"That's..." Doctor Lin's voice trembled. "It's Zhang Ming! They transformed him into..."
"That's right!" The doctor laughed wildly. "This is the perfect super soldier! Mr. Xiao, let me see if you can defeat this perfect creation!"
Subject Zero—or rather, Zhang Ming in the past—let out a deafening roar. Its eyes had turned completely blood red, and no trace of rationality could be seen.
"Xiao Yi!" Doctor Lin stepped back in horror. "Its energy reaction... has exceeded level 8!"
Xiao Yi did not answer, his entire attention focused on the monster in front of him. He could feel that the energy fluctuations emanating from this experimental subject were extremely unstable, as if they could explode at any time.
"Go, my perfect creation!" the doctor shouted frantically, "Show me your power!"
Subject Zero pounced on Xiao Yi at such a speed that it was almost beyond the reach of the naked eye. Xiao Yi barely dodged it by leaning sideways, but its claws still grazed his shoulder, leaving a deep wound that could be seen to the bone.
"Damn it!" Xiao Yi gritted his teeth and stepped back. He could feel a burning sensation coming from the wound. The experimental subject's claws seemed to contain some kind of toxin.
"Hahaha!" The doctor laughed. "What do you think, Mr. Xiao? This is the power of perfection!"
Xiao Yi ignored the doctor's ridicule, his mind working rapidly. The speed and strength of the experimental subject far exceeded his own, so a head-on fight would definitely not work. He had to find its weakness.
At this moment, Xiao Yi noticed a strange device on the subject's chest, emitting a faint red light. That seemed to be... an energy core?
"Doctor Lin!" Xiao Yi suddenly shouted, "Is that device on the chest the key to controlling it?"
Doctor Lin was stunned for a moment, then he understood what Xiao Yi meant, "That's right! That's the virus controller, as long as it is destroyed..."
Before he could finish his words, the experimental subject pounced again. This time, its target was Dr. Lin!
"Be careful!" Xiao Yi pushed Dr. Lin away, but was hit hard against the wall by the experimental weight. He felt his internal organs churning and a mouthful of blood spurted out.
"Xiao Yi!" Dr. Lin shouted in horror.

Dr. Lin immediately understood Xiao Yi's plan. She quickly ran to the other end of the laboratory and shouted, "Come on, you monster!"
The experimental subject's attention was drawn, and he turned and rushed towards Dr. Lin. At this moment, Xiao Yi seized the opportunity and a bolt of lightning struck the device on the experimental subject's chest.
