Chapter 681: Going Out to Exchange Supplies 2

Some zombies grabbed the edges of the car windows, ripping them apart with their sharp teeth, trying to break in. Others climbed onto the roof, stomping and scratching as if trying to tear it off.

Xiao Yi felt the armored vehicle's speed slowing down bit by bit. He was anxious and the veins on his forehead bulged. He kept turning the steering wheel, trying to get rid of the zombies, but the zombies were like ulcers attached to his bones and he couldn't get rid of them.

The car body made a heart-wrenching creaking sound under the impact and tearing of the zombies, as if it would collapse at any time. Xiao Yi's face became more and more solemn. He knew that he had to break out of this terrible encirclement as soon as possible, otherwise the consequences would be disastrous.

Xiao Yi's eyes instantly became extremely sharp. He quickly turned sideways and grabbed the weapon placed next to the seat. It was a powerful submachine gun. The touch of the cold metal made his nerves tense instantly.

Without the slightest hesitation, he quickly aimed his gun at the armored vehicle's firing port. Through the narrow hole, the hideous faces of the zombies outside were clearly visible.

Xiao Yi took a deep breath, steadied his body and the arm holding the gun. His fingers gripped the trigger tightly, and then he pulled hard.

"Da da da!" Gunshots rang out suddenly, flames spurting out from the muzzles. The bullets whizzed towards the zombie horde like a deadly stream of light.

The zombies at the front were instantly struck by a barrage of bullets, their heads exploding and their bodies splattered with a black mist of blood. However, the zombies behind them didn't flinch at all, continuing to surge forward.

There was no mercy in Xiao Yi's eyes. He kept adjusting the shooting angle, accurately shooting the bullets at the zombies that posed the greatest threat to the armored vehicle. Every time he pulled the trigger, he was accompanied by a low roar.

Bullet casings kept popping out of the gun chamber, making crisp sounds as they landed inside the car. Xiao Yi's arms felt slightly sore from the continuous shooting, but his movements did not slow down at all.

The zombies fell one after another in the hail of bullets, but more zombies continued to pour in. Xiao Yi's breathing became rapid, and his forehead was covered with sweat, but he never stopped shooting. He had only one firm belief in his heart: he must fight his way out!

The submachine gun in Xiao Yi's hand spewed out angry tongues of fire, and the bullets were like dense raindrops, shooting madly at the surging group of zombies.

Bullets whistled mercilessly through the zombies' bodies. Some zombies' heads exploded instantly, splattering brains and blood. Others were shot in the chest, their bodies thrown back by the force of the bullets, only to be quickly pushed forward by the zombies behind them.

Yet, these zombies seemed to know no fear. Even when their comrades fell before their eyes, they didn't hesitate or flinch. Like a surging black tide, the zombies surged recklessly towards the armored vehicle.

The fallen zombies were instantly trampled under the feet of their kin, becoming stepping stones for the zombies to advance. Their bloody mouths gaped, and they let out blood-curdling roars. There was no pain or fear in those sounds, only an endless desire for life.

Wave after wave of zombies continued to attack the armored vehicles, as if they would never stop. Their number seemed endless, and no matter how many bullets Xiao Yi fired, he could not stop their crazy pace.

Xiao Yi's expression grew increasingly solemn, his arms trembling from the continuous shooting, but his eyes remained resolute and fierce. He gritted his teeth, constantly replacing magazines, and continued to pour bullets into the zombie horde, his conviction undiminished: no matter how many zombies there were, he would never let them succeed!

The armored vehicle was shaking violently under the siege of zombies. The supplies that were originally neatly arranged in the vehicle instantly lost balance and scattered all over the ground.

Boxes of precious medicine collided with each other and tumbled off the shelves, the sound of shattering glass bottles was crisp and heartbreaking. Weapon parts bounced around in the car, making a clanging sound. Food packages were also tossed around, and the food inside was spilled.

Xiao Yi frantically shot at the zombies while trying to keep the vehicle steady. He gripped the steering wheel tightly, trying to control the direction of the armored vehicle. Every bump made his body shake violently, but his eyes remained firmly fixed on the zombies in front of him and outside the vehicle.

His arms were tense and veins bulged from the simultaneous effort of shooting and steering. Sweat streamed down his cheeks, blurring his vision, but he had no time to wipe it away.

Whenever the armored vehicle was in danger of rolling over, Xiao Yi would quickly adjust the steering wheel and use all his strength to pull the vehicle back on track. He pressed his feet firmly on the pedals, feeling every tremor and shake of the vehicle, and with his rich experience and tenacious will, he tried his best to maintain the balance of the armored vehicle.

In this chaotic and dangerous situation, Xiao Yi's breathing became more and more rapid, but he had only one thought in his mind: he must rush out, protect the supplies, and protect himself!

As time passed relentlessly, the already numerous zombies snowballed into a swarm. Looking around, there were dense swarms of zombies in every direction, like a boundless ocean of darkness, ready to swallow everything.

They poured in endlessly, wave after wave, with no end in sight. The zombies' roars and footsteps intertwined, forming a terrifying wave of sound that assaulted people's mental defenses.

During this fierce battle, the armored vehicles were overwhelmed and began to suffer serious malfunctions.

First, the engine's once powerful roar gradually became hoarse and intermittent, with puffs of black smoke occasionally emitting, as if groaning in pain. The car's speed dropped significantly, and it could no longer break through the zombie encirclement with the same swiftness as before.
