Chapter 683: Terror Mercenary Group

Several of the bullets flew accurately towards the mercenaries. Before one mercenary could react, a bullet had already penetrated his chest. His body trembled violently, his eyes filled with disbelief, and then he fell backwards like a kite with a broken string.

The other mercenary was about to turn and dodge when the bullet mercilessly struck his shoulder. The immense force of the impact instantly weakened his arm, causing his weapon to fall. He clutched his wound in agony, letting out a shrill scream.

Another mercenary was aiming his gun at Xiao Yi when he was hit in the head by a sudden bullet. His helmet was instantly pierced, blood and brain matter splattered out, and the whole person collapsed to the ground without a sound.

With the fall of these mercenaries, a gap appeared in their previously tight encirclement, and the situation instantly became chaotic. The other mercenaries showed panic on their faces, and their attack rhythm was disrupted, no longer as orderly as before.

But the number of the other side was too large, like a group of black locusts, which made people feel despair.

Dense bullets came like a violent storm, forming an almost impenetrable fire net. Xiao Yi was about to raise his head to fight back when countless bullets flew over his head, causing the ground around the armored vehicle to fly with dust and gravel.

The powerful fire suppression forced him to raise his head just a little, but he had to quickly retract it. Every time he tried to raise his head, he could hear the horrifying sound of bullets whizzing past his ears, as if death was whispering in his ears.

Xiao Yi felt as if he was in the center of a huge storm, almost unable to breathe due to the violent firepower. His ears were buzzing from the gunfire, and his head was dizzy from the huge pressure.

His heart was filled with anxiety and helplessness. He could only cling tightly to the bottom of the armored vehicle, looking for a possible chance to counterattack. However, the overwhelming bullets almost made him fall into the abyss of despair.

The armored vehicle struggled forward like a wounded beast amidst the hail of bullets, bullets continuously hitting the vehicle's body, making a terrifying crashing sound.

Sparks flew outside the car window, the metal body was pitted and dented, and black smoke even began to billow from some places. Every step forward seemed to come at a huge cost.

Xiao Yi was inside the vehicle, his body swaying as the armored vehicle jolted him. His heart was filled with rage. That rage was like a raging fire, burning ever more fiercely. He hated the mercenaries' brutality and ruthlessness, and hated them for putting him in such a desperate situation.

However, amidst his anger, his eyes were filled with determination. He knew that retreating at this moment would mean death, and only by moving forward courageously could he have a chance of survival.

He gripped the gun tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force. He mentally encouraged himself, "Never give up! I must get out!"

Xiao Yi clenched his teeth, and the muscles on his cheeks bulged. He looked forward firmly. Although there was a hail of bullets in front of him, he was determined to get out of this place of death even if it meant being torn to pieces.

His eyes revealed an extremely solemn expression, and he knew clearly in his heart that this was already a cruel battle of life and death.

The surrounding gunshots, explosions, and enemy shouts intertwined to form a chaotic and terrifying melody. Xiao Yi's breathing was rapid, and every breath was filled with tension and determination.

He recalled the hardships he had gone through, and all the beauty and warmth he had once felt were now threatened by this sudden battle. He knew that if he failed, not only would his life end, but everything he cherished would also be gone.

There's no way out. These four words echoed in his mind, like a hammer hammering down on his soul. Behind him lay endless darkness and despair. Ahead lay a hail of bullets, but that was the only way out.

He told himself that he must not retreat, must not be afraid. Even if the enemies came like a tide, even if the shadow of death loomed, he had to grit his teeth and fight hard.

This battle is a contest between survival and destruction, and the ultimate test of courage and will. Xiao Yi took a deep breath, tightened his grip on the weapon in his hand again, and prepared to face the next round of attack, because he knew that if he relaxed even a little, he would be doomed.

The mercenaries, like wolves smelling blood, gradually gathered towards the armored vehicles, forming an impenetrable encirclement.

They advanced with measured and ruthless steps, their eyes revealing a determination to kill. Each man's gun was trained on the armored vehicle, and the flames shot out with increasing intensity.

Bullets swarmed the armored vehicle like locusts, making a chilling clang. The vehicle trembled under this violent onslaught, as if it would fall apart at any moment.

Some mercenaries even started using grenades, throwing them at armored vehicles. The shock waves of the explosions caused the branches and leaves of the surrounding trees to fly everywhere, and large holes were blown out on the ground.

They shouted to each other, coordinated tacitly, and the rhythm of the attack became faster and faster, not giving Xiao Yi any chance to breathe. Each round of shooting carried a deadly threat, plunging the area around the armored vehicle into a smoke-filled hell.

In this increasingly fierce attack, the situation Xiao Yi faces becomes increasingly critical, and his hope of survival seems to be getting slimmer and slimmer.

Xiao Yi felt a sharp, burning pain in his arm as a stray bullet grazed it, instantly leaving a long gash. Blood gushed out like a fountain, winding down his arm and dripping onto the floor of the armored vehicle, staining a small area red.
