Chapter 7 Rainbow Bug Rain
The consequence of overeating was that Xie Mian, Daye and the toilet developed an indissoluble bond. They were almost facing each other all day long, and their friendship was stronger than gold.
The goose had just gotten off the toilet and was crawling towards the sofa in the living room with its limp body like a noodle.
Xie Mian was not feeling well either, his face and lips turned pale.
He buried his face in his pillow, and now his mouth tasted of cream and mango. Every burp he made was either mango-flavored cream or cream-flavored mango.
My head feels dizzy and heavy.
The soft strands of hair were pushed out of the bird's nest.
Just when Xie Mian was almost asleep, the sound of "pat pat pat" rain suddenly came from outside the window.
The sound of rain was light and sparse at first, but within a few minutes it became heavier and heavier, so heavy that it almost shattered the glass.
The sky suddenly darkened and was bathed in colorful rays of light.
Xie Mian opened his eyes blankly, was stunned for a few seconds, then picked up a magazine on the bedside, turned over and stepped over to the bay window, and pressed the magazine flat on the glass that was about to break.
"quack!"
Honey, it’s raining rainbows outside!
The big goose rushed in, flapping its wings.
"Go get the tape quickly. It's in the second drawer on the lower left in front of the living room door!" Xie Mian ordered quickly without even turning his head.
Outside the glass, there was a violent storm and heavy rain.
Colorful "rain" drops as thick as thumbs twisted and twitched and fell down.
Some of them hit the glass, and some fell to the ground at high speed from high altitude.
The ground has become a winding stream.
It was as if countless rainbow candies were crowded, twisting and wriggling.
Xie Mian took the tape, fixed the almost shattered glass, and drew a cross on the intact glass.
After reinforcing the bedroom, he quickly ran to Lin Heng's room.
Several cracks the size of fingertips have appeared on the window of Lin Heng's room.
There were fat insects with rainbow-colored bodies squeezing into the cave through the entrance.
Xie Mian used the pointed corner of the cardboard to push the bugs out, then sealed the hole with tape.
These tapes don't last long.
The windows were almost covered with colorful insects. They squeezed their bodies together and arched their bodies, looking for any gap to crawl in.
The hole that had just been taped was a little bit open, so Xie Mian used cardboard to scrape the tape flat again.
He knew this kind of insect.
During one summer of his childhood, he was forced to deal with these insects almost all day long.
That was when he was five years old and in an orphanage.
There is a lush woodpecker tree on the back mountain of the welfare home, and among the dense leaves are crawling insects called "foreign peppers".
Those people pushed him under a tree, caught some chilies and put them in his clothes and pants.
They slapped his face and laughed and shouted.
The fat man in the lead had his mouth pried open and put chilies into it.
"Eat meat, eat meat!"
They shouted with excitement.
The chili pepper is really spicy, his mouth feels like a thorny cactus is stuffed into it.
His face itched and burned so badly that he wanted to scratch it, scratch it hard...
"Hold him down, hold him down!"
The red skirt stopped not far away.
He stretched out his hand to ask for help, but saw the indifferent back of the welfare home teacher.
She clearly saw it...
The eyelids were pulled open, and the "rainbow" with countless twisted suction cups continued to expand...
“Hmm—”
Xie Mian covered his eyes and suddenly came back to his senses, the burning sensation still lingering on his eyelids.
There was clearly no wind in the house, but Xie Mian felt as if every piece of furniture in the house, including himself, was being blown by the wind.
"quack!"
“Ga ga ga!”
Wife, I can’t take it anymore, come and save the goose!
In front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, the big goose spread its wings as hard as it could to hold up the cracked window and prevent it from falling down.
Xie Mian almost heard the sound of glass breaking:
"Never mind, get out of the way!"
The cracks on the glass spread rapidly. The moment the glass exploded, Xie Mian rushed over, holding the goose and rolling over to the side.
Transparent glass fragments mixed with colorful flesh worms came crashing down.
In just a moment, the living room was in a mess.
The rainbow-like flesh worms were crawling around the living room, the two tentacles on their foreheads twitching, as if searching for traces of living people.
There were two more sounds of breaking glass.
Bugs also began to crawl out of the doors of the two bedrooms.
Xie Mian picked up the goose neck and ran into the toilet.
The toilet fell into darkness the moment the door closed. Xie Mian took out a scented candle and lit it.
The scent of roses spread slowly in the toilet.
The big goose slumped on the toilet, with its neck tilted, looking like it was worse than death.
"Ga!" Wife.
"Haha!" Can we discuss it?
"Ha ha ha!" Don't lift my neck when something happens next time.
A goose neck is still a neck. No matter how long it is, it will suffocate you!
Faced with the goose's accusation, Xie Mian impatiently tore off two rolls of toilet paper and wrapped them around the goose's neck to express his apology.
Outside the door, the rustling sound of friction became louder and louder.
Through the frosted glass, you can see the shadow in front of the door rising higher and higher.
It's already ten centimeters.
This is not a solution.
If the rainbow rain doesn't stop, the irises will increase. If it keeps raining, not only the house, but the entire building will be flooded with creepy irises.
Leave before the jasmine floods the house.
Xie Mian jumped off the sink and put the scented candle in his hand aside.
He remembered that there were two sets of protective clothing in the locker above the sink.
The locker door opened with a slight creaking sound, revealing a corner of the white protective suit.
At the same time as the "squeak" sound rang out, Xie Mian also heard another strange sound -
It comes from the toilet under the goose.
The toilet lid was making a "click" sound, as if something was trying to come out of the toilet.
"quack!"
Wife, put on protective clothing quickly!
The goose pressed down on the toilet with its own strength, preventing the contents underneath from coming out.
The big goose is not afraid of competing in strength, but it is worried that the quality of the toilet is not good enough and cannot withstand the impact of things underneath.
The toilet lid seems to be breaking...
Xie Mian had already put on two-thirds of the protective suit, and he bent down and quickly zipped it up. Just as he picked up another set of protective suit and was about to wrap up the goose, the entire toilet suddenly flew up into the sky -
A giant yellow-white maggot emerged from the pipe under the toilet.
The maggot is extremely long, as thick as a thigh, and it hunches its body and sways left and right as it searches for its target.
The pointed head with two fangs almost pierced the roof.
"Gah!"
Wife, I’m here.
The big goose removed the "gravity" on its body and shot towards Xie Mian like a white ball.
Xie Mian caught the rapidly falling goose, wrapped it with protective clothing, opened the toilet door, and fled.
The basil leaves made a "pop, pop" sound under his feet, breaking into pieces like berries, leaving pools of blood.
The thick maggots were in hot pursuit.
Xie Mian opened the door and went to the corridor.
The moment he closed the door, a huge force hit the security door.
"Bang!"
“Bang bang!”
The security door was smashed and a bulge appeared. Xie Mian did not dare to delay and quickly went downstairs carrying the big goose.
There are not many chilies in the corridor.
Xie Mian grabbed the handrail with one hand and jumped down level by level lightly.
Sixteen! Fifteen! Fourteen!
…
The big goose stuck its head out and looked at Xie Mian's slightly sweaty cheek, and its heart beat faster and faster.
Another leap forward.
Just as Xie Mian's feet were about to land on the stairs, the building suddenly shook violently, and bricks fell on his head. Xie Mian couldn't stand firm in time and rolled down the stairs.
My vision kept turning and flipping.
The big goose was held tightly in his arms.
After rolling down more than a dozen steps, Xie Mian finally found an opportunity to grab the guardrail.
The vision no longer rotates.
Xie Mian breathed a sigh of relief, holding the guardrail tightly with his palms and stood up from the ground.
"Squeak—"
There was severe pain on the outside of the left elbow joint.
I got hurt while protecting the big goose just now.
Xie Mian was a little surprised that he would do that. Everything that happened just now seemed to be his subconscious reaction.
I subconsciously held the goose in my arms, subconsciously not wanting it to get hurt.
The wife is hurt, and the goose is in pain.
The big goose struggled to come down, but was held down by Xie Mian.
"Do not move!"
"I'm fine!"
They were now on the fifth floor, and the number of chilies in the corridor had obviously increased.
On the walls, on the ground, on the stair railings... densely packed, everywhere.
Xie Mian shook off a chili pepper that fell on his head and continued to go downstairs.
The soft and sticky feeling under my feet became stronger and stronger.
The steps are barely visible.
The chili peppers continued to rise like sea water as Xie Mian walked downward.
At first, it was above the ankles, then the calves, and finally the entire area below the waist was covered with surging piles of chilies.
Xie Mian was standing at the door of the unit holding the big goose.
The community has become a surging ocean of colors, and rainbow rain is still falling from the sky.
Xie Mian looked up and saw a huge, twisting "rainbow" hanging in the sky.
The "rain" comes under this "rainbow".
