Chapter 119: The Explosion Process

The entire earth shook, the ground trembled, and the bricks and glass above were shaken and fell from the ground. Everyone ran in panic. However, the ground shook so violently that many people could not even stand steadily.

"There's...an earthquake!" The people running outside shouted.

"Ahhh, help!"

Screams rang out in the panic. The earthquake came too suddenly, without even a single sign. The birds that had been hiding in the woods also took flight.

"Run." Xie Yan looked at the situation and immediately pulled Xu Xuening out.

As soon as the two of them ran to the open space in the square, they saw Wei Zizhou, sweating profusely, running towards them.

"Are you okay?" Wei Zizhou asked with concern.

"It's okay. How about you?" Xu Xuening shook her head. She watched her mother running out with her son in her arms. She looked around anxiously and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Xu Xuening.

"Aning, are you okay?" Mother Xu looked at her daughter with concern.

"Mom, I'm fine." Xu Xuening shook her head and told her mother, "Mom, keep an eye on Xiao Hai and don't let him run around. I need to check on the situation."

"Where are you going?" Mother Xu heard her daughter's intention to leave. She immediately grabbed Xu Xuening's hand in panic. Seeing the determined expression on her daughter's face, she felt a little uncomfortable. The child had grown up. "Be careful."

She knew that she couldn't say anything more at this time.

When she watched Xu Xuening's back as she went out on patrol, she felt an indescribable sadness, yet also a sense of relief. Her children had grown up, learned to take responsibility in times of crisis, and protect them, the elderly and children.

She didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She had once thought her daughter would live an ordinary and peaceful life, but that seemed impossible.

The wind blew recklessly towards them, without any direction, forming a small cyclone here and a small vortex there. Leaves and scrap paper on the ground were blown into the air, floating up and down.

The roar of the earth became louder and louder, and the high-decibel sound waves rushed towards humans. In an instant, many people fainted on the ground.

"What is that?" Those who were still conscious covered their ears. Invisible sound waves hit their ears, causing many people to bleed from their ears and eyes.

Some people couldn't bear it and rolled on the ground in pain, while many more people struggled around in pain.

At this time, neither zombies nor humans could endure such a sonic attack, and the pain allowed them to have a brief reconciliation at this moment.

Wei Zizhou covered his ears and looked at the sky with red eyes. A black cloud flew over their heads.

After the sound continued for a while, more and more people fainted and fell to the ground.

Xu Xuening also tried her best to cover Xiao Hai's ears. She had just tried to let Xiao Hai enter the space, but unexpectedly found that her own space could not be opened.

She looked at the sky in panic, and the entire sky slowly turned blood red until she fainted.

In the darkness, she vaguely heard someone's voice.

"She's awake." A clear girl's voice rang out.

"No, just her eyes moved. She's still dizzy." Another boy said in a steady voice.

"How could she be dizzy here? She must have woken up." The girl said somewhat unconvinced.

Xu Xuening opened her eyes and looked out at the empty space. Two children, a boy and a girl, about ten years old, were sitting suspended in mid-air. They were wearing strange clothes that looked like silver, but not quite silver. A mercury-like color flowed up and down their bodies. "Who are you?" Xu Xuening looked at the two children in surprise.

"We should be asking you, who are you? Which planet are you from?" The little boy raised his head slightly and looked at Xu Xuening proudly.

"Planet? You're not human?" Xu Xuening looked around and saw that except for a faint glow beneath her feet, everything else was pitch black. Only the two children were still glowing, but she couldn't tell where the light was coming from. Was it the clothes? Or them?

"Hey, you guessed it so quickly!" The little girl heard Xu Xuening's question and immediately flew to Xu Xuening's side happily. "Which planet are you from? Why are you so weak?"

It was originally just Xu Xuening's guess. She didn't expect that the other party was really not human. She really didn't know whether to cry or laugh. "Where am I?"

"This is Neutron Space. No one on your planet has responded to our calls, so we applied to open this space."

The little girl looked at Xu Xuening and said.

Xu Xuening remained silent. She didn't understand why these two people had contacted her, and what exactly did they mean by "planet"? Other planets? How could that be possible? For trillions of years, hadn't Earth been the only planet in the universe with life? "Your planet is dying," the boy observed, frowning in displeasure, a bit irritated. "Let's cut to the chase. You still have thirty years to prove yourself."

"What do you mean?" Xu Xuening looked at the two children in front of her. "What do you want to do? Are you going to destroy the earth?"

When the boy heard Xu Xuening's words, he immediately sneered, "Do we still need to be destroyed? It won't be long before the humans on your planet will almost completely destroy themselves. The virus you created has already infected almost every human being."
