"Finally everyone woke up." The little boy's voice sounded again.
Xu Xuening looked up and saw that the scene in front of her had changed.
The originally dark and empty scene began to show dark brown soil, and the green grass on it slowly grew. She could even feel the breeze blowing over her when she stretched out her hand. The green grass on the ground slowly climbed up and grew along her feet.
"This is a vain space. Everything you feel is both real and empty." The boy, dressed in black with a small white stand-up collar and a strange black hat, stood suspended in the middle, looking at the people around him.
It was only then that Xu Xuening realized that there were many people standing around.
The little girl disappeared.
There were eleven people around. Wei Zizhou and Xie Yan were familiar to her, but the rest were completely new to her. There were black people, white people, an elderly man, and children around thirteen or fourteen.
Xu Xuening looked at them one by one and noticed that their eyes were filled with fear and suspicion. It seemed that she was the only one who was experiencing this place for the second time.
"What do you want to do?" The brown-haired white man looked at the little boy in the middle. "What is this place? Is this a game?"
The little boy didn't answer the man's question. Instead, he looked around at everyone. "You have thirty years left to prove your worth. If you don't, this planet will be destroyed."
"What do you mean?" the brown-haired man asked again.
"You twelve have been chosen to represent this planetary expedition. We will define the behavior of your planet based on your performance."
"Our planet, are you aliens?" The brown-haired man asked desperately, "Hey, I'm talking to you, kid."
"Hey, man, relax. Maybe this is just a game." A black man saw the white man next to him asking questions non-stop, so he spoke up.
"Bang!" The brown-haired white man suddenly exploded in front of them. The bloody scene made them unable to react at all, and they felt the man's flesh and blood all over their bodies.
"Ahhhhh!" another white woman screamed. "Andy, Andy! Oh, this is not real, he's dead. This is not real."
"Shut up." The little boy hanging in the air angrily looked at the screaming white woman below, "If you keep making noise, you'll end up like him."
The woman who was crying just now was immediately hugged by the black man next to her, who covered her mouth with one hand to suppress her crying and screaming.
"Shh, shh..." The tall black man slowly comforted the crying woman.
The space they were in gradually became quiet.
Everyone looked coldly at the little boy in the middle.
"Your planet is now facing an extinction-threatening blow. If you cannot solve this problem within ten years, you will almost enter the decline of your planet. Thirty years later, your planet will enter a dead end period, and all species will begin to regress and enter a period of extinction. Therefore, the Universe Headquarters gives you a chance. In order to save this precious planet, and to give you a chance to survive. You have thirty years to prove that you can manage this planet well. If you are unable to accomplish this, the Universe Headquarters will send someone to take over the planet. I am only responsible for notifying you. Now, do you have any other questions?" The little boy said arrogantly, looking at everyone with disdain.
"Are you aliens?" the black man who comforted the white woman asked.
"For you, yes." The little boy nodded expressionlessly.
"Then why did you ask us to come here?" The white-haired old man standing next to Wei Zizhou looked at the child. His eyes were a little cloudy, and he seemed unable to see the specific location of the child.
The little boy looked at the white-haired old man and nodded. "Headquarters hopes that you humans can unite. If you can defend your planet for the next thirty years, we will open a space connection for you and contact you. At that time, you must send someone to represent your planet. Therefore, headquarters has decided to give you a reminder. You are representatives of different regions."
"What do you mean?" Xie Yan looked at the other party.
"During these thirty years, your aging process will be delayed. If there is no external interference, your time will basically stop. Of course, after thirty years, your life will resume and synchronize with the time of this planet."
"I mean regional representatives?" Xie Yan reminded him.
"What does it mean literally? Is there anything you don't understand?"
Xie Yan remained silent.
"Little friend," the white-haired old man asked, "Does this mean that we will have to report anything that happens in our area to you from now on?"
"No, you are the subjects of investigation within the area. We are using you as a reference, and your experience will be one of the assessment criteria of the Planetary Alliance of the Universal Headquarters. After you leave here, this neutron space will be closed. After thirty years, if you are still here, it will reopen."
"Thirty years..." Wei Zizhou muttered to himself. Is this all humanity has left? For one human being, thirty years might not be short, but for the entire human race, it's a disaster.
