Chapter 147 Crazy Plants

Han Xiaoxiao quickly chased the vines that kept fleeing in front of her. Those vines had already been able to move like animals. Following behind these vines, even two ginkgo trees followed Han Xiaoxiao and ran after her.

"Damn, I'm so tired, these trees are like spirits."

He looked at the two ginkgo trees next to him that were a few steps ahead of him, so he simply reached out and hugged one of the ginkgo trees, taking a ride.

Sitting on the invisible tree, he could finally catch his breath.

The various plants below seemed to have grown legs and were still moving. This made Han Xiaoxiao hesitate. "No way, I just lit a fire, it shouldn't scare them like this. The fires I lit before were much bigger than this, why haven't they moved yet?"

Han Xiaoxiao suddenly felt itchy on his body. He immediately shook his hand and saw an extremely huge cockroach crawling over his arm and quickly flew over the poplar tree in front of him.

The sky was almost completely covered by the plants above and below. The plants on the ground rolled and crawled, turning up the soil in the ground. Mud spots flew out, and all kinds of trees began to run, and some trees even collided with each other.

"Are these trees spirits?"

Han Xiaoxiao shouted angrily. However, there was no one around him to respond to him, let alone Xu Xuening to remind him to be careful.

Xu Xuening felt the air getting thinner and thinner, but she saw a faint ray of light coming through. The light meant that she had at least come out of the underground.

On the ground, she suddenly had an idea and immediately opened her own space and took out all the useful things inside. An electric saw appeared in front of her. After pulling it twice, the electric saw made a hissing sound.

A root as thick as an arm was sawed off

Slowly, the space surrounding Xu Xuening became larger and larger, more and more light came through, and the air she could breathe became more and more abundant.

At this moment, an invisible gas slowly came out, and while she was still sawing off the tree roots, the pink smoke in the roots was slowly released.

Even though the light was right in front of her, she felt her eyes becoming more and more sleepy.

When Xu Xuening felt sleepy, her eyes almost closed.

wrong

She jolted awake. She couldn't be asleep at this hour. Something must have been released. It looked like the gas mask wasn't working. It seemed the gas was too densely mixed with the air. Xu Xuening twisted her thigh, instantly sobering up. She pulled out her small oxygen tank and changed into her gear before finally regaining consciousness.

In just a short while, she found that the space she was in had become denser again, and the space that had just been sawed off had new roots that surrounded her again.

She has become food for these roots, which are wrapped around her one by one, as if waiting for her to become nutrients for these roots.

These plants have become spirits.

Xu Xuening felt a cold sweat break out. Thinking of the rapid growth of these plants, as well as their ability to prey and evolve, she felt that if they didn't find a way to deal with them quickly, they would face a fierce battle in the future.

Han Xiaoxiao sat on the ginkgo tree, following all the various plants running in one direction. He felt like he was watching a scene from The Lion King, except that all the animals were replaced by plants.

What surprised him most was the cockroach. It looked almost like a spirit, about the size of a baby's arm. Unexpectedly, as soon as it leaped onto another willow tree, a strange vine wrapped around it lashed out at the cockroach. The cockroach dodged the first blow, but the next three or four lashes proved too much for the dodging cockroach.

Han Xiaoxiao watched the cockroach being blown away from the willow tree and then wrapped up by the strange vine.

Although he didn't hear any crunching sound, he was sure that the huge cockroach must have been eaten by the plant that had turned into a spirit.

have eaten!

Han Xiaoxiao was completely disheveled in the wind.

What kind of world has he entered? Can these plants eat humans?

"It seems that these plants eat people!" Xu Xuening looked at the scene in front of him and couldn't help but sigh.

Countless white bones are piled up in the roots of these reddish-brown plants.

The stench of decay was so overwhelming that she almost fainted.

She looked at the massive pit, the size of a stadium. Countless animal carcasses lay piled in the center. Tens of millions of corpses had been reduced to mere white bones. Surrounding them were reddish-brown plant roots, a truly disgusting sight. Those roots, like pieces of rotting flesh, tumbled together, occasionally wriggling, entangling the animals they had caught within their red flesh.

"This is their eating place!" Xu Xuening immediately understood.

At this moment, a bunch of red, rotting roots nearby entangled Xu Xuening. She immediately swung her knife and cut off the red roots.

The severed red roots began to wriggle little by little like a earthworm broken into two pieces.

The broken root connected to the red root at the back and formed a long root again. The two rotten roots were glued together again.

It began searching for fresher prey, and a small white rabbit, caught at some unknown time, was targeted by the rotting flesh. The rabbit was bitten and chomped, screaming and trying to escape, but it was unable to do so. Soon, the rabbit was squeezed and torn, its fur ripped apart, and the whole rabbit was swallowed by the red rotting flesh, slowly turning into a pile of bones.
