Xu Xuening lowered her head slightly and looked at the ground beneath her feet. "Then what on earth is this thing under my feet?"
She barely moved, but felt a sense of panic.
Hearing Xu Xuening's words, Luo Shaoan also lowered his head and looked at her feet.
Just one glance and he felt his scalp tingling.
"What, what is this?" Luo Shaoan watched as a bright red, almost silver, object hooked around Xu Xuening's foot. No, it wasn't hooking her foot; it was encircling her, still millimeters away from her body. However, the thread of it encircling her legs continued to build, climbing higher and higher. It wouldn't be long before it completely enveloped her.
When Han Xiaoxiao wanted to get closer, the red, silky vines that were originally around Xu Xue Ning immediately showed an attacking posture, and all of them erected sharp thorns, trying to prevent Xu Xue Ning from being occupied.
"What the hell is this?" Luo Shaoan shouted, attracting the attention of his companions.
"Get out of the way." Captain Gong came over and saw the bright red, flocculent, and thread-like things surrounding Xu Xuening. He had a bad feeling.
"Take out all your things." Hearing Captain Gong say this so seriously, Xu Xuening felt as if he was being treated as a dying man.
"Hey, Captain, you can't just give up on her like this!"
"Shut up, I want her to take out something and try it." Captain Gong shouted.
Soon, they lit a fire around the red threads and began to burn them. The red threads began to turn into liquid like candy, flowing downwards like melting.
Just when Xu Xuening and others thought that the fire was useful, the red flowing liquid in between surprised people again.
When they gathered together, they began to turn into something like anklets, directly forming two red anklets that were stuck on Xu Xuening's ankles.
The slightly warm red anklet clung tightly to Xu Xuening's body.
She looked down at the red thread, not sure what was going on.
"What... should I do?" Luo Shaoan looked at the change and felt that the other party was not afraid of fire.
At that moment, the forest before them erupted in a rumbling sound. Out of the ground emerged giant beasts resembling wild boars with the backs of pangolins, each standing four or five meters tall. A dozen or so stood not far away.
At this moment, Captain Gong no longer cared about the two anklets on Xu Xuening's feet. He looked at the dozen or so monsters and immediately ordered everyone to be vigilant and prepared to respond.
What lies ahead is a fierce battle.
The dozen or so gigantic monsters rushed towards them, lowering their heads in an attempt to pierce the warriors with their massive fangs and throw them high into the air.
The smell of blood immediately spread out. Firepower continued to ring out from all around, and various weapons fired at the giant beasts.
After the first wave of anesthetics proved to be ineffective, they had already equipped themselves with highly lethal weapons.
The fierce battle made Xu Xuening feel a little uneasy. She noticed that none of the giant beasts came close to her. They formed a delta in front of her, running in both directions.
She lowered her head and looked at the two red silk necklaces at her feet. This was the only explanation. She didn't think she was any different from everyone else, except for this special, unknown thing that puzzled them.
The battle soon attracted the roar from the mountains.
She had a feeling that the situation in the mountains was even more dangerous.
"Captain! Something is coming out of the mountains." Xu Xuening looked towards the mountains, and a flock of birds flew away in fright, and a forest in the distance collapsed.
"I know!" Captain Gong quickly jumped over the place where the beast's fangs were attacking. His strength had already smashed the opponent's face beyond recognition, but the giant beast was still pestering them, and it seemed that it was not afraid at all and did not feel the pain.
Now, after hearing Xu Xuening's shout, he realized that this was the advance team, and those things in the forest were the highlight, and these were the vanguards that were entangled with them.
"Testing us? Damn, am I such an easy person to bully?!" Captain Gong took a look and simply took off his black right glove.
"Everyone get out of the way." He shouted, and all the team members who heard it retreated.
