Chapter 147 Rescue

Gasoline is like a bomb; if you use enough of it, it's not much weaker than an intercontinental ballistic missile.

It's understandable that the military is unwilling to provide firearms.

Almost all missiles have layers of restrictions; without information technology capabilities, even launching them would be difficult.

Xu Xing's strength has now reached the point where he can go out alone, which is why he can so recklessly plunder gasoline.

Under the moonlight, Xu Xing first emptied several gas stations in the vicinity. As he went further out, zombies began to appear one after another.

The zombies are particularly active at night. Some wander aimlessly, while others are led by level four or higher zombies and begin to quietly patrol and expand outwards.

"boom!"

While driving along a main road, Xu Xing, who was frantically "consuming gasoline," suddenly heard a loud noise in the distance, sounding like a huge object hitting the ground.

The commotion instantly alerted Xu Xing, who swiftly used his mental power to forcefully envelop the entire oil depot, neatly stacking it within his spatial storage.

Xu Xing ran quickly along the street toward the sound, having already crossed the unexplored area, but he forgot to notice.

Soon, an astonishing scene unfolded: tens of thousands of zombies were frantically climbing a building.

They worked together, each stepping on the heads of the zombies below, to create a zombie-shaped ladder.

The building's original steel frame was crawling with swarms of zombies, like an attacking swarm of ants, which was quite terrifying.

Xu Xing noticed that the bottom glass door seemed to have been reinforced by something; some zombies had even managed to smash it with their claws, but it hadn't left a single mark.

On the road next to the building, a huge crater appeared, with a diameter of several tens of meters and a depth of five or six meters, and the surrounding area was covered with dense zombie corpses.

"Aaaaaah!! Die!"

Just beside the pit, a disheveled woman was holding a large machete used in factories to saw wood, which was twice the length of her entire body and looked very disproportionate.

Swish~

The woman screamed wildly, sweeping her arms around her. Dozens of zombies that approached her were cut in half in the blink of an eye. Some of the more vigorous ones, even with only their upper bodies remaining, still instinctively attacked.

The result, naturally, was that he was chopped into pieces by that crazy woman.

Before the zombies could gather again, the madwoman, carrying a large machete, charged into the bottommost horde of zombies.

What made Xu Xing's eyes widen was that the large cleaver suddenly grew larger, from three meters long to five meters long, sweeping across the zombies as easily as chopping vegetables, completely crushing them.

During this time, a level 4 peak zombie, whose size was no less than that of a large pickup truck, tried to subdue the crazy woman like a mad bull.

But the result was no different. With just a light touch, his body was torn open, and under the woman's increasingly fierce attack, he died in the Northwest.

Only then did Xu Xing finally notice the madwoman; a scar on the corner of her mouth looked like a poisonous scorpion's mark on her face, which was somewhat terrifying.

"Pei Xiang, is that right? I had almost forgotten about you."

Xu Xing concealed himself and muttered to himself. He could not forget this scar. In his previous life, he had once fought a zombie in a canyon.

This woman, carrying a large knife all by herself, was like a war goddess, invincible. She seemed to have a deep hatred for zombies, even willing to exchange wounds with them.

As both sides finally weakened and retreated, she dragged her exhausted body and chose to fight to the death. With her massive sword, dozens of meters long, she finally severed the head of a high-level zombie before it broke off.

This crazy woman was saved by Xu Xing, but she was too badly injured. Before she died, she explained why she hated zombies so much.

It turns out that she and her husband awakened together. Her ability is to continuously nurture her natal weapon until it reaches the point of being connected with divine artifacts.

Her superpower was already bizarre enough, but her husband's superpower was even more ruthless, and he could only use it once in his lifetime.

When her husband first awakened his superpowers, he felt an uncontrollable energy ball inside his body. Once released, it would be incredibly powerful, but the price would be his own explosion.

Commonly known as the Bomber, that energy slowly increases over time.

Her husband chose to perish together with a level-five late-stage zombie when she was cornered, leaving the hope of survival to Pei Xiang.

After hearing this story, Xu Xingjing realized that he was a real man, and the scene unfolding before her eyes seemed to be exactly as she had described.

That deep pit certainly doesn't seem to be the work of human beings at this stage. Even if Xu Xing were hit by it, his chances of survival would be slim.

While Xu Xing was still reminiscing, Pei Xiang fought with increasing ferocity, unleashing a frenzied slaughter. As zombies fell one after another, the superhumans inside the building also showed their faces and began to beat the drowning dog.

A large wave of various superpowers crashed into the zombie horde. Seeing that they wanted to retreat, a middle-aged man in a black suit, carrying a high-powered handgun, opened the glass door of the building and rushed out.

"Hahaha, these zombies still managed to escape, didn't they?"

The man stomped his foot and spat, which was somewhat out of character for him. In the end, he just glanced at the big pit and then secretly looked at Pei Xiang without saying a word.

Clang!

Suddenly, just as everyone had relaxed, a large wave of zombies filed in from one street, even more than before.

"Retreat! Retreat! Retreat now!"

The middle-aged man shouted.

A bone spear was suddenly driven into his side.

It was too late. Although everyone had evacuated, the originally impregnable doors and windows on the first floor could not be repaired in time and were broken by the zombies.
