Chapter 56 A Tale of Two Extremes

Ye Kai casually tossed the already limp body aside, and for safety's sake, even kicked the corpse twice more.

On the other side, the battle between Zhao Jie and the "Shamate" (a subculture characterized by flamboyant and often outlandish fashion) has reached a fever pitch.

Both sides were at the peak of the first level, one controlling fire and the other freezing ice, and the battle was extremely intense, with neither side able to gain the upper hand.

Ye Kai was about to go over to help when he saw Zhao Jie free one hand, wave it behind him, grit his teeth, and whisper, "Let me do it myself."

This momentary lapse in concentration gave the punk an opportunity, and with a burst of force, he froze Zhao Jie's left arm.

Zhao Jie roared, and the fireball that had already gathered instantly spread throughout his body, temporarily suppressing his injuries, and the two returned to the same starting point.

Xu Xing and Su Xixi were not idle either. The arrogant prisoner henchmen, after seeing their bald boss being instantly killed, had no intention of revenge and all scattered.

But how could Xu Xing let them go? He gave Wang Lei and Wang Hu a look.

The two instantly understood and worked together, causing the previously normal ground to emit a squeezing and colliding sound.

Suddenly, a wind picked up all around!

A large amount of dust and sand began to swirl, forming a small sandstorm that spread outwards, engulfing everyone present.

Even with Wang Lei and his colleague working together, creating a sandstorm of this scale was extremely difficult.

The surrounding clods of earth and sand are harmless to those with superpowers, but for ordinary people, the constantly flying sand and gravel are the best weapons to kill.

The next second, the twenty or so prisoners stopped in their tracks, looking at the raging sandstorm ahead and not daring to take another step.

Xu Xing grinned maliciously, like the biggest villain in a movie, with the scalpel that had killed the most people still hovering in his hand.

Then Xu Xing moved as if he were in an empty field, completely ignoring the fight between Zhao Jie and the punk. He simply floated in mid-air, like a sharp sword piercing through the prisoners.

At this moment, Xu Xing transformed into a doctor on the operating table. With each incision, he could precisely pierce the "patient's" temple, gently flick it upwards, and rotate the tip of the knife, enough to put the patient into a complete state of dormancy.

Unlike the past, where slicing open the carotid artery was far too gruesome, Xu Xing devised a more elegant way to kill since Su Xixi was also present.

The dozen or so prisoners, in terms of both reaction speed and recovery ability, are far inferior to normal zombies. At Xu Xing's level, killing an ordinary person is much easier than killing a zombie.

Just one minute later, the commotion from before was gone, and corpses lay scattered all around.

Xu Xing controlled the knife, flicking it up and down violently, and the last trace of blood was thrown away by inertia.

The Wang brothers, who were still activating their supernatural abilities, watched the process unfold. When they looked at Xu Xing again, their eyes held not only respect but also a hint of fear.

Xu Xing acted as if nothing had happened, took out a wet wipe to clean his hands, then went back to hold Su Xixi's small hand and said, "These are all scum of society. Leaving none of them alive is the greatest respect we can show them."

Susie simply nodded blankly.

Xu Xing sighed inwardly. Su Qianqian was good in every way, except that she was a bit too much of a saint. It was one thing to deal with the zombies before, but when killing these people, Su Qianqian's eyes showed a hint of reluctance.

This is also Xu Xing's own fault. How did Su Xixi, the Beast Taming Queen in her previous life, get her name? It was all earned through killing.

In the early stages, without any support, he climbed to the top step by step entirely by relying on the cruelty of the dog and the ferocity of Su Xixi.

To this day, Su Xixi has grown up under Xu Xing's wing and has hardly suffered any grievances, which has shaped her current personality.

As Xu Xing pondered how to teach Su Qianqian a lesson, a muffled groan came from the spot where Zhao Jie was fighting not far away.

Everyone turned their heads and saw that the punk rocker was actually throwing several crystal cores into his mouth, disregarding the danger.

It's likely that this person, a member of the "Shamate" subculture, had already foreseen their fate and was preparing for a desperate fight, hoping that this might offer them a sliver of hope to escape.

The immense energy surged forth, nearly causing the punk to explode and die. Fortunately, he managed to resist and digest it by using all his strength.

But his internal organs were already overburdened, his stomach had ruptured, muffled thuds came from his chest, and he was spitting out blood mixed with fragments of his internal organs.

This scene startled Xu Xing.

Even he wouldn't dare to swallow crystal cores directly with his mouth so easily. While this method would be the fastest way to absorb them, given the current state of human internal organs, it would be like injuring the enemy by 800 while harming oneself by 1000.

Only mutated beasts like dogs, with their naturally abnormal bodies and internal organs that are far superior to those of humans, can resist such an energy attack.

Although the body of the "Shamate" was already broken and there was even a risk of him going into shock, his power was constantly growing stronger.

He broke through the shackles of Level 1 at its peak with brute force and advanced to Level 2 ability user in a short period of time.

"Hahaha Zhao Jie! Even if I die, I'll take you down with me. When we get back to the King of Hell, we'll be a pair of star-crossed lovers."

The more the punk talked, the more insane he became. His entire body was covered in ice crystals, and even the breath he exhaled could send chills down your spine.

"Aaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"

It was this sentence that drove Zhao Jie, who was already on fire, into a state of frenzy.
