Chapter 17: Hiring Employees
Jiang Xin was thinking about it when suddenly an idea came to her mind.
This afternoon, when she was setting up a stall at the vegetable market, she was still worried about not being able to find anyone to help her set up the stall.
But now...
Jiang Xin stared at the man, her eyes suddenly brightening dramatically.
Isn’t there a ready-made candidate right now?
It just so happened that the man in front of her was short of money, and she could provide him with a stable job to earn money so that he could maintain his basic life.
Moreover, all the supplies in her space can be used to help him, which can be considered a good thing.
This man spent all his money to treat his mother's illness. He must be a good man. No matter what, he is a filial son.
Once he makes money, won’t life be hopeful?
It's like killing two birds with one stone.
Jiang Xin's sudden idea made her extremely excited.
She stared at the man's expression as if she had picked up a treasure.
The man felt a little uncomfortable being stared at by her.
He coughed twice and asked in a stuttering tone:
"What's wrong?"
Jiang Xin rolled her eyes, thought for a moment, and said in a very straightforward tone:
"Well, I need your help with something."
"Wait a moment!"
After saying that, Jiang Xin ran to the place where she originally planned to cross the bridge.
Because darkness provides the best concealment.
Therefore, if she walked farther away and took the opportunity to take out supplies from the space for the man, she would not be discovered.
She first took out two new sets of men's clothing from the space, and then she took out a large pile of daily necessities and food.
After putting the things into the bag, Jiang Xin ran back to the man with the bag and stuffed all the things into the man's arms.
"I bought these things for my family. I think you really need them, so take them first."
All of a sudden, Jiang Xin stuffed a lot of things into the man's mouth. It looked like the amount was not light, so it must contain a lot of good stuff.
He refused:
"No, no, this won't work!"
"We are not familiar with each other, how can I take your things?"
The man pushed away and tried to put the thing in his hand back into Jiang Xin's hands.
Seeing this, Jiang Xin quickly spoke.
"I've already told you, I need your help, so I'm giving you these things."
"I haven't told you my request yet, why are you so anxious to refuse?"
The man had a bewildered look on his face. He looked at Jiang Xin's face carefully in the moonlight.
Although I couldn't see clearly, from the dim light and the way she was dressed, I could tell that she was a young girl.
I really don’t know how I can be of any help at her age.
"What's the matter?"
No reward without merit. Although he really needed these things, he would feel embarrassed to take other people's things for free if he couldn't help her.
Jiang Xin did not hesitate this time, but spoke directly and proposed her idea:
"I want to hire you."
"It just so happens that you also need a stable job. I think you can consider it. This is a win-win situation."
"I set up a stall in the vegetable market, hoping to earn some pocket money, but as a girl, I am not suitable for being in the spotlight too much, so I want to find someone who can help me sell the goods."
After hearing Jiang Xin's words, the man slowly raised his head.
He felt that Jiang Xin was a girl with too simple mind.
He and she had only just met for a short while, yet she dared to trust him so much.
Could it be that she didn't know that human hearts were treacherous? What if he agreed to her on the surface but secretly ran away with her goods?
He opened his mouth, wanting to persuade Jiang Xin to be more rational and not trust strangers easily.
Including himself.
But before he could open his mouth, Jiang Xin continued talking.
"We can be considered to have met each other today. Meeting each other is fate."
"I also know that you must be wondering why I chose you to help me instead of others."
"I believe that you should trust people when you employ them, and you should not trust people you doubt. You are willing to spend all your money to treat your old mother's illness. From this point, I can tell that you are a good person!"
After saying this, the man finally stopped refusing.
He nodded, which was considered as his agreement.
But he was still a little unsure whether he could take on the job given by Jiang Xin.
So, not long after nodding his head in agreement, he added hesitantly:
"I'll give it a try. If that doesn't work, you can find someone else."
Because he really needed a job to make a living now, the man did not refuse.
At the same time, he was also very clear in his mind that Jiang Xin did all this in order to help him.
He was so grateful that he couldn't express it in words.
There was another silence, and then the man realized that from the beginning when he was rescued by Jiang Xin until now, he had never asked the other party's name.
So he took the initiative to speak:
"Lin Ye, my name."
It was only after he opened his mouth that Jiang Xin finally reacted.
It turned out that they had been chatting for a long time but still didn't know each other's name.
So she quickly stretched out her hand and said to Lin Ye:
"Hello, my name is Jiang Xin, and I'm glad to be able to work with you."
Seeing this, Lin Ye also stretched out his hand, and the two shook hands in mid-air, thus becoming acquainted.
In this day and age, communication is indeed not very convenient.
She and Lin Ye don't live in the same village.
So, there are some difficulties in this connection.
Jiang Xin thought about it and said to Lin Ye:
"How about this, tomorrow morning at nine o'clock, you wait for me at the entrance of the vegetable market."
"I will move the goods that need to be sold over there, and you can just help me sell them there."
"In the first month, I will pay you 60 yuan as salary. As for bonuses and commissions, it depends on your performance."
The salary proposed by Jiang Xin was not a small amount.
Sixty yuan a month is already the salary level for senior workers in this town.
Lin Ye naturally agreed after hearing this.
Not only that, he even felt it was a bit too much.
He is the only one in the family now and doesn't need to support the family. If one person is well fed, the whole family will not be hungry.
He would be very satisfied as long as he had a little salary to support his life.
Lin Ye wanted to refuse and asked Jiang Xin to pay her less.
But when he thought about the situation at home and the large amount of foreign debt he still owed, he silently held back the words that were on the tip of his tongue.
He nodded, and then heard Jiang Xin say that she would move the goods herself.
Lin Ye asked hurriedly:
"Moving goods? Let a man like me do this kind of hard work. It's hard for a girl like you."
"You paid me to hire me, so you are my boss. It is only natural for me to work for you. Please don't be embarrassed!"
