Chapter 127 Why was he late?

"Is anyone down there? Please help us!"

"Huh? Someone's come downstairs? Who is it? Help us!"

"Waaaaah, why isn't anyone coming to save us? Why?"

Fang Xiyue had just set out 23 single beds, intending to make do with sleeping on this floor.

As a result, the survivors above began to cry for help. The previously dormant zombies were awakened.

If they keep shouting like that, it probably won't stop all night.

Fang Xiyue glanced upstairs. "Sigh, let's save them. They're in the conference room on the third floor."

Those people are so active because their leaders like to hold morning meetings.

They used to hate morning meetings, but now they are just as grateful to their boss; they are the only ones who survived in the entire building.

They watched helplessly as one colleague after another was pounced on and bitten by zombies, eventually turning into zombies themselves.

The glass in the conference room was frosted, so the zombies with poor eyesight couldn't see inside.

Their breaths couldn't escape, as long as they didn't make a sound.

They could tolerate it before, but now that they've discovered someone has come in, they really can't hold back anymore.

Seventeen days! They've been trapped here for seventeen days.

They themselves dare not recall how they spent the previous 17 days.

At this moment, the entire conference room was filled with a foul stench, and one corner of the conference room was covered in filth.

There was no other way; they couldn't go out, so they had to relieve themselves on the spot.

There are water dispensers and snacks in the meeting rooms, all provided by the supervisor; every meeting room has them.

If it weren't for these things, they would have died long ago.

Now, they are truly grateful to their boss.

However, at this moment, because they had heard someone come in and kill zombies, they couldn't help but shout out, causing the zombies outside to start banging on the door and walls of the conference room.

They were all made of glass and couldn't withstand such treatment. They covered their mouths tightly and wept silently.

They've persisted for so long, it shouldn't be like this.

Apart from Platoon Leader Zhou's three family members and Sister Xiu, everyone else took submachine guns and went upstairs. The submachine guns had silencers on them, so the sound wasn't loud.

Fang Xiyue also took an extremely bright lamp and used her psychic abilities to control it, making it float in the air.

Using the lights, everyone fired at the zombies.

Those zombies were all employees dressed in work clothes, and their wandering around the office area looked particularly heartbreaking.

Their families may still be waiting for them to come home, but they will never see them again.

There were quite a few zombies; they were probably all afraid of having their wages docked, so they all came to work even though it was raining heavily.

Television broadcasts called for a nationwide shutdown, but some bosses refused to listen and insisted that their employees come to work.

Of course, they'll say it's voluntary, but they'll just deduct from their wages.

The zombies on the second floor quickly all collapsed.

The group went up to the third floor, where zombies were currently ramming against the glass of the conference room, which was already showing signs of cracking.

Fang Xiyue and the others' arrival was truly a timely help.

Hearing the sound of a zombie falling to the ground, the other zombies turned around and, having found fresh prey, excitedly rushed towards this side.

The submachine guns in everyone's hands were practically sparking.

A submachine gun loaded with 30 bullets fell down before it even finished firing.

"Great! We're saved!"

A female survivor excitedly pulled open the conference room door.

She had just taken one step when the glass shattered with a crack, and everything except the doorknob in her hand—the door and the wall—was broken.

The conference room is completely visible.

Everyone was a little stunned, and the survivor holding the doorknob was frozen in place.

Fortunately, no one was injured by the broken glass because everyone instinctively stepped back the moment the glass shattered.

However, precisely because of this, the stench permeated the third floor.

They were all disheveled and smelled terrible.

Combined with the previous excrement and the stench of the rotting zombies, it did indeed have a vomiting-inducing effect.

You can go to the second floor; the zombies there have been cleared out. Go home tomorrow during the day.

The survivors have been rescued, and they don't plan to deal with the zombies above the fourth floor.

Human physical strength is limited. They haven't rested since they set off in the morning, and if they don't sleep soon, they'll be ruined.

The survivors nodded, overwhelmed with joy at being rescued, and forgot to even say thank you.

Everyone went back downstairs, each took a single bed, and planned to lie down and sleep. There was no way to take a shower while traveling, so they would take a proper shower when they got back tomorrow.

"Hey? Don't you guys take showers?"

Fang Xiyue had just set up eight shower stalls in the corner when she noticed that almost everyone just took off their coats and lay down.

"Sis, you're so thoughtful. I was planning to hold it in, but you even have a shower? I have to take a shower."

Fang Xichen was about to lie down when he heard Fang Xiyue's voice and jumped up.

"The two rooms on the right are for girls, and the other five rooms are for you boys."

Fang Xiyue even thoughtfully added male and female labels.

"You guys go ahead and wash, I'll go out and check on things."

She can't sleep if you make her go to bed so early. She can just wait until everyone else has finished showering before she goes to shower.

Fang Xiyue went straight outside and sat by the riverbank, looking at the stars in the sky.

It seemed like a peaceful and idyllic world, but the end times were coming.

Are you unhappy?

Upon hearing the voice, Fang Xiyue looked to her upper left. She couldn't see 'Nan Yan's' eyes clearly, but she could still imagine how handsome he was.
