Chapter 80 Stay close to me, don't wander off!

"I was just afraid you'd get distracted."

You also have to lead such a large team of survivors.

They can't just abandon them for my sake, can they?

Besides, your sister is pretty amazing, you can ask Brother Wu Fei if you don't believe me.

Fang Xiyue pointed to Wu Fei, who had followed her.

"Xi Yue is indeed very powerful. With a single swing of her Tang sword, the zombie's head fell to the ground."

Wu Fei nodded repeatedly, indicating his approval.

"Brother, please let me go. I can't just stay in the neighborhood forever."

I'll have to go out and kill zombies eventually. If I don't train now, what will happen when the zombies level up?

"Does that mean I won't be able to run away if I encounter zombies?"

Fang Xiyue wasn't joking. If she didn't make continuous progress, would she still be able to fight against the zombies once they leveled up?

She practices her psychic abilities every day, but she can't seem to level them up.

Currently, her psychic abilities can only control two zombies at a time.

It only drives them away, it doesn't make them fight for you.

Clearly, such a superpower is powerless against an army of zombies.

Although she could stay in the villa and residence provided by the system forever, she would go crazy if she did that.

Being confined to one place forever can distort a person's psyche.

Moreover, her brother is a soldier and will inevitably have to fight for the survivors.

Fang Xiyue didn't want to just see him off every day and then be helpless when there was danger; she had to improve her strength.

"Alright, this time you can come with me. Stick close to me and don't wander off."

Fang Xichen walked inside as he spoke, and Fang Xiyue and Wu Fei quickly followed.

The university has multiple teaching buildings, with different majors located in different buildings.

The playground they had cleared was simply the place where the most zombies gathered.

There are plenty of zombies in other places too; there are zombies everywhere, including teaching buildings, dormitories, gymnasiums, canteens, and multi-purpose buildings.

Although there were quite a few of them, they couldn't be separated.

Apart from the 20 soldiers, other squads generally consist of 5 to 10 people.

There are only fifty or sixty people in total, so cleaning the teaching buildings one by one is the best option.

The teaching buildings are all six-story buildings.

Once inside the teaching building, everyone dispersed and entered each floor, with about 10 people on each floor, moving from right to left.

The apocalypse happened relatively early, except for some classes that had early morning classes.

There were hardly any students in the other classes; the vast majority of students were still in their dormitories.

Therefore, the survivors in the teaching building were among the first to escape.

The teaching building had relatively few zombies, so cleaning it was actually the easiest part of the school.

However, some students, even though there were very few zombies, were too afraid to come out.

When they finally mustered the courage to run, they could no longer escape.

Because at that time, there were more zombies gathering on the playground and more zombies wandering around the teaching building.

Even if they escaped from the school building, they would have nowhere to go.

In the end, 37 survivors were rescued from the seven school buildings.

The survivors were crammed into a teaching building and made to hide there, while the main force marched toward the cafeteria.

There are more zombies in the cafeteria than in the teaching building because some students choose to eat breakfast there before class.

Even if they don't go to class, eating is still a must, and rain can't stop them from eating.

No one expected that this rain would bring a zombie virus.

The cafeteria has four doors, all of which were closed, so the zombies inside did not come out.

The group of over sixty people was divided into four groups and entered through four doors.

Fang Xiyue followed Fang Xichen's group through the first door.

After the four groups of people stood in place, the four leaders nodded to each other and then opened the door together.

Instantly, zombies swarmed out.

The survivors, lined up in two rows at the entrance, kept waving their weapons and hacking at the zombies.

Firearms cannot be used in this situation, as it might result in hitting one's own people.

So they all used knives, axes, and the like.

Fang Xiyue stood there, killing every single one that came her way, which stunned the survivors nearby. This little girl was quite ruthless.

As the number of zombies that emerged decreased, they instantly stood at the cafeteria entrance and began firing their guns.

The zombies inside fell one by one, their blood splattering everywhere.

Apart from the area where staff get their meals, there is no sheltered space on the entire first floor.

Therefore, a large number of survivors, about twenty or thirty people, gathered there.

There were also zombie corpses inside, which were probably killed by the survivors working together.

When they saw who had arrived, they were all moved to tears.

They've been here for over ten days, and they're all filthy.

They stank and would have died here if there hadn't been food.

One person led them to the teaching building where the survivors were housed, while the others continued up to the second floor.

The second floor houses various food stalls, which can be used to hide people, so many survivors hid here.

There weren't many zombies in the public area with tables and chairs outside; they were just wandering around.

Sensing that people were coming, they started rushing this way.

However, because of the tables and chairs blocking the way, many zombies tripped over them.

The survivors cleared out the zombies in no time.

One of the stalls was particularly horrific, filled with zombies.

It looks like someone later turned into a zombie and wiped out everyone here.

The group gathered the zombies together and threw them out the window.

They needed to burn the zombie corpses, and carrying the bodies from top to bottom was too time-consuming, so they had to use the windows to throw the bodies away.
