Chapter 127: Drifting at Sea

Once the submarine submerged and turned on its lights, Jiang Li looked out through the glass dome. The road surface had already been completely destroyed by the seawater.

There was no internet navigation available, so the group wasn't in a hurry to find their way. Instead, they changed out of their wet clothes first.

After being frozen for so long, I was almost freezing to death. Now the waves are weak and won't pose a big threat to the submarine.

The submarine had been slightly modified by a few people when it was at the club. They were riding in a 10-person submarine, and the extra seats were removed and replaced with two small beds for resting.

The area was covered by curtains. Apart from Gu Jin and Shi Yuan, who were in control of the submarine, the others took turns changing their clothes before taking over for the two.

Jiang Li changed into dry clothes inside, feeling a bit cramped. With the warm air blowing on her feet, she felt much more comfortable.

Jiang Li took out cups of hot ginger tea from his spatial storage and handed them to everyone. He then sipped the tea himself, and once he felt warm, he quickly gave everyone cold medicine.

Only then did I take out the city road planning map, look at it from left to right, and it took me about five or six minutes to barely figure out the direction.

Given the current situation, the danger at sea is greater than on land, so the group decided to go ashore first.

The submarine lurched forward, and with each wave it would drift backward or to the side by more than ten meters. Fortunately, the journey was relatively uneventful.

After carefully studying City S, the group discovered that the terrain to the north was higher, and they estimated that it would be less affected by the tsunami. Therefore, they decided to temporarily set their destination in the north.

After spending the third or fourth day underwater, when people got tired, they took turns sailing. Finally, they felt that the impact of the water had decreased a lot, and everyone couldn't help but speed up their journey.

The rain on the water is getting lighter and lighter, and it should stop in a few days.

After sailing for another two days, Jiang Li and Gu Jin, piloting the submarine, felt as if the sun was rising above the water. They immediately decided to pump water to ascend.

After the submarine surfaced, the group saw the long-awaited sunlight.

The sunlight on my skin wasn't scorching; it had a warm, soothing feel that made me want to sleep. It was incredibly comfortable.

The group switched from the submarine to a speedboat and continued their journey.

Previously, it was quite dark underwater because of the lack of light. But once we came up, the visibility became much better, and we could see and avoid obstacles from a great distance. We could also increase our speed without worrying about being hit suddenly.

Along the way, besides the flooded houses and the drifting bricks and stones, Jiang Li didn't see a single living creature.

Suddenly, a white metal box, about the size of their speedboat, appeared on the water ahead.

If they were to crash into it, the metal box would be fine, but their speedboat would likely capsize.

In the blink of an eye, Gu Jin quickly changed direction, and due to inertia, Jiang Li was almost thrown into the water.

The speedboat wobbled a few times in the water before finally stabilizing.

Fu Xiaxia and the others behind her grabbed the gunwale with both hands to steady themselves and asked.

"What happened?"

Out of the corner of their eyes, everyone noticed the square metal box beside them.

"This box emerged from the water; its origin is unknown."

Gu Jin steered the boat away from the strange box.

Jiang Li tilted his head and vaguely saw what looked like a chain underneath the box.

"Gu Jin, move a little further to the side."

"good."

Gu Jin had just moved the speedboat a meter away when suddenly another speedboat appeared next to the iron box. It looked somewhat similar to the one they were riding in, but it was larger.

Gu Jin lowered her eyes and moved further away.

The roof of the speedboat next door slowly descended, revealing the entire interior.

Gu Jin glanced over and saw that there were nine people opposite them, seven men and two women.

"Hey! Bro!"

The bearded man on the speedboat opposite waved to Gu Jin, looking very enthusiastic.

Gu Jin glanced at it indifferently and ignored it.

The black-bearded man wasn't angry; he even took two steps to the side and spoke louder.

"Brothers, where are you from?"

Nobody paid him any attention.

"Hey bro, we're heading to Kyoto now, wanna come along? I heard it hasn't been flooded yet."

Upon hearing this, Fu Xiaxia raised an eyebrow, turned slightly to the side, and called out to the person beside her.

"The tsunami just happened a few days ago. How could anyone have gone to Kyoto at a time like this? And even sent a message back? Brother, you must have heard someone make this up."

She wouldn't believe this person if there wasn't something fishy going on.

"Li Zihui, there are so many people here, they must have their own plans, why are you meddling in this?"

A mature-looking woman walked over and pulled the burly, black-bearded man, Li Zihui, aside.

"Hehe... It's my fault, you're so thoughtful."

Li Zihui chuckled twice and stood behind Ding Wenting.

Ding Wenting gave him a reproachful look, then glanced at the man and woman opposite the boat with a smile, her demeanor poised and graceful.

"We're sorry to bother you, but we were just thinking that if we were going the same way, we could look out for each other."

Jiang Li clicked his tongue lightly and looked over with a smile, saying...

"Sister, there are seven people on just that speedboat. With so many people, isn't it difficult to take care of them? Are you really trying to drag us along as a burden?"

Ding Wenting was taken aback. She hadn't expected the two girls opposite her to be so outspoken and to say things that didn't give them any face at all.

Soon, she smiled gently.

"It's alright, since..."

Jiang Li interrupted her before she could finish speaking.
