Chapter Forty-Five: Confession

The group continued walking up the mountain, and even when they were almost halfway up, they still hadn't seen a single small animal.

Jiang Li stopped and spoke to the others.

"Let's stop and rest for a while."

Everyone else thought Jiang Li was tired, so they all stopped and rested on the spot.

After Jiang Li saw that they had all stopped, he glanced at Gu Jin, and when Gu Jin nodded, he said.

"Actually, there's something else I want to tell you all today."

"Girl, just tell me what's wrong, and I'll definitely help you if I can."

Seeing Jiang Li's serious expression, Fang Qingxun assumed that Jiang Li was in some kind of trouble but was too embarrassed to say it.

Others also offered to help.

“I don’t have any difficulties. I just want to tell you that I have a space, a space where I can put things.”

After a long silence, everyone thought Jiang Li was joking, but his expression didn't seem like he was joking.

"Is the space you're thinking of?" Fu Xiaxia often reads novels and knows about the spaces that exist in novels, but she doesn't know if the space Jiang Li is talking about is the kind she knows.

"I don't know what you're thinking, but it's probably like that, you see."

Jiang Li stretched out his hand, and a bottle of water suddenly appeared in his palm, which had been empty before.

"Holy crap, girl, are you doing magic?"

Fang Qingxun simply couldn't believe it.

"No, as you can see, this is my space."

Everyone else looked incredulous. If they hadn't actually seen it with their own eyes, they would never have believed that such a thing existed in the world, even if you killed them.

Even Shi Lin, who had been silent all along, showed a look of surprise on his face.

Even with all their experiences, they would still find this information unbelievable.

After the initial shock, Shi Lindu suddenly became serious, and Jiang Li couldn't help but feel nervous, wondering what he was thinking.

"I will absolutely not tell anyone else that you have a private space."

Shi Lin was the first to react. This was the second time he had spoken so much since meeting Jiang Li. He understood the significance of what Jiang Li was telling them, not only because of Gu Jin, but also because she believed in them.

The others also realized what was happening and said they would never tell anyone else.

"Jiang Li, you must never reveal that you have a spatial ability. You must protect yourself well."

Fu Xiaxia knew that possessing a rare treasure would definitely attract the covetousness of others, so she absolutely could not let anyone else know.

Jiang Li saw that Fu Xiaxia and the others were shocked and worried about his safety, so he breathed a sigh of relief and felt fortunate.

I'm glad I confessed, glad I knew it was them, and glad I made that choice.

Jiang Li thought that even though he was with Gu Jin, he would still have made a move if they had shown even a hint of greed. Fortunately, there was no "but".

"Boss, why aren't you surprised at all?"

Fang Qingxun turned his head and saw his boss looking calm, then looked at himself looking like he had never seen anything like this before, and instantly lost his composure. Didn't he see that even Shi Lin was shocked? Something was definitely wrong.

"Because I've already been shocked."

"When? I didn't see it."

Fang Qingxun wondered how she hadn't noticed it all along.

"yesterday."

"Oh, yesterday? What yesterday? Weren't you in your room the whole time yesterday? No, did you find out when you took the girl home? No wonder you were so calm, you already knew."

"Well, I found out a few hours earlier than you guys."

Jiang Li briefly explained his space again, and everyone thought it was truly amazing. Although they were still shocked, it was much better than before.

They discussed the space issue for a while longer, and Jiang Li felt more relaxed around them.

After resting for a while, we continued walking up the mountain. After all, we had come out with a purpose today, although it doesn't seem important now.

After walking for a while, Jiang Li suddenly spotted some small red fruits ahead, with a rabbit eating them nearby.

"Look over there!"

Everyone looked in the direction Jiang Li pointed, and saw that the rabbit had already run away after hearing the noise.

The group arrived at the red fruit, which grew in the bushes. It was brightly colored and looked a bit like a cherry, but it was also different from a cherry.

Jiang Li cut open the fruit with a knife and found that the pulp inside was white with a little black in the middle, which should be the fruit's seed.

Generally speaking, the more vibrant something is, the more poisonous it is, but the rabbit was eating that fruit just now.

Animals are very sensitive to danger, so since they are eating, there shouldn't be any major problems.

However, just to be on the safe side, Jiang Li suggested that they pick the fruit first, and then give some to the base, which would surely be able to determine whether it was poisonous.

Everyone agreed, so Jiang Li gave each person a small bag and put the fruit in it.

I initially thought it was just a small clump of bushes, but as I walked further, I discovered a large patch of them, with a few scattered around.

These distributions were likely carried there by animal bodies or feces.

So the group started picking fruit. Of course, when picking, Jiang Li and the others would leave a little bit in each bush, not too much, because the animals also needed to eat.

After all the picking was finished, everyone had a full bag, which they all handed to Jiang Li, who then stored it in his spatial storage.

"It's a pity that after all this time, we've only encountered one rabbit, and it got away. Otherwise, we could have gone hunting."
