Chapter 51 "Going to the bathroom again?"

Chapter 51 "Going to the bathroom again?"

Wang Hao saw him and narrowed his eyes slightly. "When did Mr. Jiang come?"

They were so focused on arguing with each other that they didn't even notice each other approaching.

"Just arrived." Jiang Yan's eyes swept over the group of them. "What's wrong with you all? Why are you so angry?"

Wang Hao observed his expression calmly and said, "Someone died last night. It was one of Qian Wei's men."

"Oh?" Jiang Jie dropped his arms from his chest in surprise and stood up straight. "A mutant broke in?"

Wang Hao couldn't tell if his surprise was fake. He lowered his gaze and asked, "Mr. Jiang, what were you doing last night?"

Hearing him ask this, Qian Wei turned his gaze over and stared at him with a sullen face.

Jiang Jie suddenly smiled under their gaze, casually raised his hand to tug at his collar, revealing a tooth mark on his collarbone. His tone was slightly ambiguous, "Of course, it's a one-night stand."

Wang Hao glanced at the tooth mark and found that the young man who had been with the other party was not following him. Could it be true... He lowered his eyes in thought, half believing and half doubting.

Qian Wei sneered and looked away. "Wang Hao, what else do you have to say this time?!"

Wang Hao glanced at him without replying. He then looked at Jiang Jie again, "Mr. Jiang, did you really not leave the villa last night?"

"Who would be willing to leave such a gentle place? You ask..." Jiang Jie suddenly paused, as if he suddenly understood something. "Mr. Wang, you don't suspect that the person who died last night is related to me, right?"

Wang Hao didn't say anything and agreed.

Jiang Yan sneered speechlessly and clapped his hands twice, "Okay, okay, you guys have an internal problem and need someone to take the blame, right?"

He spread his hands and said, "It seems that an outsider like me is the best candidate."

"Of course that's not what I meant..."

"I think that's what you mean!" Qian Wei interrupted him impatiently, "Wang Hao, I don't care who of your men killed the person now. If I lose a brother, you must pay me with a life."

After he finished speaking, his eyes fell on A Liang, his expression gloomy as if he was about to send him to hell immediately, "Hand him over to me, and this matter will be settled."

Biting this man to death was not only out of anger and revenge, but more importantly, the other party was Wang Hao's confidant. Compared with Jiang Jie, who had just arrived and did not have much trust in him, killing Wang Hao's confidant would obviously cause him greater losses.

"Qian Wei." Wang Hao stepped forward and blocked the man behind him, saying coldly, "I'm already handling the problem for you and making sure things are clear. Don't go too far."

Not long after he finished speaking, a group of people came into the villa, all of them were his subordinates.

The few people Qian Wei brought with him suddenly looked insignificant. He frowned and said, "What? You can't argue anymore, so you plan to use force to solve the problem?"

"I just want to tell you, don't try to take my people away before the matter is thoroughly investigated." Wang Hao raised his chin slightly and looked at him coldly, "This is not a place for you to act wildly."

"Who on earth is causing trouble?!" Qian Wei took a step forward, approaching him, his eyes bloodshot. "Someone under my command died inexplicably, and you expect me to act like nothing happened?!"

If this matter doesn't come to a conclusion, who of his brothers will obey him? How will he manage people in the future? He thinks this guy surnamed Wang is doing it on purpose!

"I told you I'll get to the bottom of this," Wang Hao said, undeterred by his aura. "But it'll take time. Since there's evidence pointing to my people, I definitely won't let this matter go unresolved. I'll give you an explanation, but until then, you'd better behave yourself."

Qian Wei raised his eyes and glared at him, then glanced at the people behind him. He knew that if he really fought today, he would get nothing good, and he definitely couldn't take the person away.

He took a deep breath, suppressed the anger in his heart, and said coldly: "You'd better conduct a serious investigation instead of destroying evidence and exonerating your own people."

After saying this, he glanced at A Liang who was standing behind the man, snorted coldly, and turned away with his men.

When passing by Jiang Yan at the door, his eyes fell on him. The other party shrugged innocently, and he walked away with a bad look on his face.

Jiang Jie turned his head and watched them leave, raising his lips and smiling slightly.

"Mr. Jiang."

Hearing a voice calling him from behind, he turned back.

Wang Hao was holding the bloody dagger in his hand. He shook it at the man by the handle and asked, "Have you ever seen this knife?"

As he spoke, the people behind him stared at him closely, looking very oppressive.

Jiang Yan leaned against the door again and said, "Mr. Wang, if I remember correctly, I've only been here for two days. I don't even know the names of the people under your command. What makes you think I would kill someone I don't even know? What's the purpose?"

Wang Hao was speechless. He truly couldn't figure it out. If this was truly the other party's doing, then what was his purpose? To sow discord among them? But why? What good would he gain by causing them to become chaotic?

As for seeking revenge, none of the people here knew him. He had asked his men to inquire before, and it turned out that Qian Wei met the other party on the way and brought him back on his own initiative. There should be no premeditated plan.

He really couldn't think of a reasonable motive, but he inexplicably felt that there was something wrong with the other party.

"Instead of questioning me here, Mr. Wang, you might as well investigate whether there is a traitor among your men." Jiang Jie smiled, emphasizing the word "traitor".

Wang Hao looked up at him and said, "Don't worry about that, Mr. Jiang."

Jiang Jie shrugged nonchalantly, indicating that he didn't care about it.

He put his fist to his lips and yawned, "I was fooling around for too long last night and didn't sleep well. I'm going back to catch up on some sleep and won't disturb you all anymore."

Before leaving, he turned to look at A Liang and thought that one death was not enough, the fire was not burning brightly enough, and he had to add more firewood.

When A Liang saw his light glance, he inexplicably felt a chill down his spine, as if he was being stared at.

After watching such a good show, Jiang Jie was in a good mood. When he strolled back to the villa, Lin Mian had just prepared breakfast.

He walked over, pulled out a chair, sat down, and pulled the person onto his lap.

Lin Mian had become somewhat accustomed to his occasional affectionate gestures, and when there were no outsiders around, he wasn't too uncomfortable. He obediently let himself be held and asked, "What happened over there?"

The villa was some distance away, but not too far away, so it was hard not to notice such a loud noise.

"Someone under Qian Wei's command died yesterday, and a quarrel broke out between the two sides." Jiang Yan scooped a spoonful of porridge, blew it cool, and then passed it to the other party's mouth.

Lin Mian paused, then opened his mouth to eat. After swallowing, he said, "He suspects that someone from Wang Hao's group killed him?"

"Hmm." Jiang Jie took a bite himself and smiled as he took away the spoon. "It's quite interesting to see them making such a fuss."

Hearing this, Lin Mian's eyes fell on his face. He inexplicably remembered that he had left last night, but he was too tired to fall asleep, so he was not sure how long he had been gone. He pursed his lips and said, "Brother Ji, this matter should have nothing to do with you, right?"

Jiang Yan raised his eyes to look at him, without directly denying it, "What do you think?"

If that's the case, then they are most likely related. Lin Mian felt that he now had some understanding of men, so he tactfully didn't ask any more questions. He guessed that those people must have made him unhappy some time ago.

He didn't say anything, but Jiang Jie knew that the clever little rabbit understood something and had no intention of getting involved in his "prank". He leaned over and kissed the man on the chin.

Maybe the air conditioner temperature was a little low, Lin Mian shivered in his sleep and subconsciously reached out to hug the person next to him, but he got nothing.

His arm fell on the bed and after groping for a few times, he frowned and opened his eyes. There was indeed no one around him, and there was not even any warmth left. It was obvious that he had been gone for a while.

He sat up hugging the blanket. The dim room was silent, with no sign of anyone else.

Where are you going again?

He blinked blankly and leaned over to turn on the bedside lamp.

At this moment, the door was pushed open and the man walked in quietly.

Warm yellow light filled the room. Lin Mian turned around and saw him, and was stunned.

Jiang Yan, who had not wanted to disturb him, did not expect him to be awake at this moment. He closed the door and asked, "Why are you awake?"

Lin Mian tugged at the blanket covering him and said, "It's a bit cold."

Jiang Yan, who was about to move towards the bed, stopped and turned around to operate the central air-conditioning panel twice, raising the temperature by two degrees.

Lin Mian kept looking at him, and after the person was adjusted and sat down by the bed, he asked, "Where is Brother Jian?"

After a pause, he continued, "Going to the bathroom again?"

Jiang Jie raised his eyebrows, and even the little rabbit would tease him.

She stretched out her hands on the bed and moved closer to him, her noses almost touching. He still spoke in the same tone as during the day, "What do you think?"

He didn't want to guess. Lin Mian wrinkled his nose and moved back a little, "Brother Jie smells burnt. It doesn't smell good."

Burnt smell? Jiang Yan paused, then realized that it must have been tainted. He reached out to pinch the man's chin, "Do you dislike me?"

Lin Mian blinked, neither nodding nor shaking his head.

Jiang Yan chuckled and stopped teasing him. He would have disliked it if there was any smell. He let go of her hand and got up to go to the bathroom to take a shower.

Lin Mian listened to the sound of splashing water and pulled the blanket back to bed. He had a premonition that the villa area might be in chaos again tomorrow.

When Jiang Jie came out of the shower, he saw the little rabbit still lying on the bed, blinking his eyes, not asleep. He walked over and crawled under the blanket.

When the man's body pressed against him, Lin Mian was stunned for a moment, then shrank to the side.

Jiang Yan grabbed his waist and pulled him back, "Why are you hiding?"

Lin Mian said a little embarrassedly: "You, you are not wearing any clothes..."

"So what?" Jiang Jie said without a trace of shame. "Haven't you seen enough?"

Yes, there were quite a few, but most of the time when Lin Mian moved unconsciously in his arms and ended up touching something incredible.

Jiang Yan gritted his teeth and leaned close to his ear, "Lin Xiaotu, I see you don't want to sleep again."

Feeling his waist being pinched, Lin Mian was startled and quickly closed his eyes, "I need to sleep, I'm very sleepy."

Jiang Jie pulled up the blanket to cover the two of them, "But I'm not sleepy anymore."

“Hmm…”

In the second half of the night, Lin Mian no longer felt cold.
