Chapter 3: The Prologue Begins
As soon as Liu Man left, Lu Nange changed the password for the villa's main gate.
She crouched down, mimicking the original owner's appearance from her memories.
Looking at Lu Beiye tenderly, she said softly, "Aye, I'm going to take a shower first. You can play quietly in the living room for a while, okay?"
Lu Beiye's little face was full of worry. He leaned close to Lu Nange's wound, blew on it gently, and said in a childish voice, "Don't wash it, it hurts!"
Lu Nange smiled slightly and reached out to stroke the little one's soft hair: "Sister is all dirty and must be feeling terrible. A bath and re-application of the medicine will help the wound heal faster!"
Lu Beiye tilted his head and thought for a moment, his little brows furrowing. Then he nodded seriously and said crisply, "Hurry up!"
The Lu family owns a detached villa with only three floors above ground and two floors below, making a total of five floors.
Before taking a shower, Lu Nange carefully checked all the windows and closed them tightly.
Holding Lu Beiye's phone, Lu Nange glanced at the time but still didn't call Lu Xici.
If we fight now, something unexpected might happen to Lu Xici!
Take a shower first…
Warm water sprayed from the showerhead, and the fine water droplets fell on Lu Nange, dispelling some of her fatigue and finally giving her a chance to calm down and carefully recall the plot of the book.
The original owner had excellent academic performance and became the top scorer in the Nanshi college entrance examination.
Today, the parents of the deer are taking their daughter to Nanshi No. 1 Middle School to receive her award and certificate.
On their way home, they were struck by a sudden tragedy, and the entire family of three perished.
At 5 p.m., a strong convection storm struck, with gale-force winds and torrential rain, like a ferocious beast ravaging the city.
At first, people did not realize what kind of crisis was hidden in the storm, and simply waited for it to stop as usual.
Little did they know, the end times were about to begin.
As time went on, the weather worsened, with torrential rain pouring down relentlessly.
The city gradually fell into a predicament of water and power outages, and darkness and panic began to spread rapidly among the people, with everyone feeling insecure.
Aunt Xu, the nanny of the Lu family, treated Lu Beiye quite well at first.
But as the days went by, she found that she still couldn't get in touch with the deer's parents.
Even Lu Xici had disappeared without a trace, which led him to hatch a different plan.
Soon, she called her husband and son, and they moved into the Lu family home together.
Aunt Xu's son is a violent maniac. Although Lu Beiye is smart, he is still just a child.
As the water level rose day by day, the four of them moved from the first floor to the third floor of the Lu family's house.
Food is becoming increasingly difficult to find.
Lu Beiye was tied up by the three men and became their food rations.
Three months after the apocalypse, on the very night Lu Beiye starved to death, he became a two-legged sheep.
The day after Lu Beiye died, Lu Xici came looking for him.
...
Therefore, this means that she must stubbornly survive for three months with Lu Beiye before she will have the chance to meet Lu Xici, the male supporting character.
Perhaps only by basking in the protagonist's aura can they survive this apocalyptic catastrophe and await the dawn of a new century.
Within three months, food will be limited at the villa, and Aunt Xu or even others may come to visit.
The key is how to stick with it for three months!

When Lu Nange came out of the bathroom, her wounds were still bleeding, and the bright red bloodstains stained the white bath towel.
She sat on the edge of the bed, skillfully picked up the iodine solution, and gently applied it to the wound. The stinging pain made her frown slightly.
Then, she squeezed out mupirocin ointment and evenly covered the wound surface, carefully wrapped it with gauze, and then got up and dressed.
Recalling the post-apocalyptic novels she had read, Lu Nange deliberately left a wound on her arm that was still bleeding and the skin was turning white.
She hurried to the original owner's dressing room and dripped blood onto all the jewelry.
One minute, two minutes, five minutes passed—no response!
Undeterred, Lu Nange went to her mother's dressing room and repeated the act of dripping blood.
But the result was the same as before; all around was silent, and no unusual phenomena occurred.
"Damn it!" Lu Nange couldn't help but curse under her breath.
I've already transmigrated into a book. I can't even become the main character in a male-oriented novel, but I can't even become a supporting female character?
Where's the promised transmigration trope? Space, superpowers—I have none of that!
Everyone else prepares in advance, stockpiling supplies all over the world, but for me, it's the apocalypse right from the start!
What happened to the promised free purchase and the promised superpowers?
How am I supposed to survive now?
Although I have a fourth-degree black belt in Taekwondo, in my past life, I could definitely have taken down a few big men who weren't trained.
The problem is that the original body lacks strength. If you only remember the movements, in the apocalypse, it's at best just fancy footwork.
Lu Beiye, peering through the crack in the door, stared at his older sister with a look of gritted teeth.
He ran back to his room, and a little while later, he came running back with difficulty, carrying a wooden box.
"Sister, here!" Lu Beiye ran up to Lu Nange, tilted his head up, and stuffed the wooden box into her arms.
Lu Nange sat up from the sofa, opened the wooden box with a puzzled look, and a burst of colorful light rushed out, revealing pieces of red, yellow, and blue gems inside.
"Ah Ye, where did this come from?"
Lu Beiye sat next to Lu Nange on the sofa. He was only eight years old and his voice hadn't changed yet, so he spoke in a soft, childish voice: "It was given to me by my uncle."
Lu Nange searched diligently in the nooks and crannies of the original owner's memories, and soon, a memory surfaced—the original owner's uncle owned a mine.
If they found any good gems, they would either give them to the three siblings or to their mother deer.
Lu Nange reached out and touched her younger brother's hair, saying gently, "Thank you, Aye. Let's go downstairs for dinner, okay?"
Lu Beiye raised his head: "Dad, Mom, they're not back yet!"
Lu Nange's heart tightened, and she explained softly, "My parents have gone on a business trip and won't be back for a few days."
"I didn't tell A-Ye!" Lu Beiye muttered, clearly dissatisfied with his parents' sudden departure.
"Yes, it's a bit urgent. Mom and Dad asked my sister to tell you."
Upon hearing this, Lu Beiye got up, took Lu Nange's hand, and obediently walked downstairs to the restaurant.
After dinner, Lu Beiye nestled in his older sister Lu Nange's arms, his eyes glued to the tablet computer, the screen's light reflecting off his face.
Lu Nange looked out the window. In the dark, inky sky, a white lightning bolt suddenly flashed across the sky, followed by a deafening roar of thunder.
The wind whipped up large raindrops, and the rain poured down.
Lu Nange quickly took Lu Beiye's hand, gently covered his ears, then got up and quickly drew all the curtains.
After Lu Beiye finished showering and fell asleep, Lu Nange began looking for food in the house.
The Lu family has three children, and their snack room is quite well-stocked.
Opening the two double-door refrigerators, one finds a large quantity of frozen food, mostly seafood.
But she knew that the power would be cut off in a month, and preserving the seafood would then become a thorny problem.
After searching around, there was very little food that could be stored for a long time. Apart from a few cans of luncheon meat, there wasn't even a pack of instant noodles.
