Chapter 68 Arson

The non-mainstream man followed her cautiously, his head slightly lowered, with fierceness and hesitation flashing back and forth in his eyes.

Jiang Mi pretended not to notice the murderous intent emanating from him and checked each room one by one. When she checked the last room, she saw all the remaining people.

His eyes fell on the dark red pool on the ground. The non-mainstream man hurried forward and rubbed his hands to explain: "Well... this can't be wiped off..."

Jiang Mi didn't say much. She glanced at the others. Everyone lowered their heads and didn't dare to look at her.

"Not bad." She said lightly, and then ignored them and turned away.

When her figure completely disappeared on the third floor, the non-mainstream man hurried to Wang Xiong and whispered, "Boss, she shouldn't have noticed."

Wang Xiong endured the severe pain in his hands, his eyes were sinister, "Okay, let's do it tonight!"

The non-mainstream man agreed verbally, and when he stood up, he looked at the man with a crew cut next to him for a moment without any expression.

Both of them understood the meaning in each other's eyes.

Jiang Mi returned to the second floor, where Miao Xi was settling the mother and daughter.

Fortunately, there wasn't much else in the kindergarten except for a lot of empty rooms. Also, due to its special nature, the kindergarten was closed on the first day of the heavy rain before the apocalypse, so the kindergarten was almost clean and did not require any special cleaning.

Miao Xi arranged for the mother and daughter to live in the last room on the second floor, and also brought them the dinner prepared by Mingyu.

The mother and daughter probably hadn't had a proper meal for a long time. They wolfed down the food without even having time to talk.

To let the two of them have a good meal, Jiang Mi called Miao Xi out.

"It's not going to be a peaceful night, be prepared."

Miao Xi frowned and subconsciously glanced at the room where the mother and daughter were. Then, as if he had realized something, he looked upstairs and asked, "Are they going to make any move?"

Jiang Mi raised an eyebrow, "Those guys don't look like honest people."

If they had behaved themselves, she could have spared their lives, but unfortunately, the restless look in their eyes made it clear on their faces that they were going to cause trouble tonight.

"That's great." Miao Xi's eyes turned cold.

"Tell Xiaofei to be alert tonight. I'm going back first." Jiang Mi waved his hand, and before leaving, he suddenly turned around and looked at Miao Xi meaningfully and said, "Go to bed early tonight."

Miao Xi was stunned for a moment, then he understood what she meant and nodded to show that he understood.

When she entered the house, she saw Jiang Xun standing in the middle of the room, seemingly waiting for her.

Seeing his look, Jiang Mi knew what he was going to do.

With a basin of clean water and a set of new clothes ready, Jiang Mi flashed directly into the space.

After a quick wash, Jiang Xun had already changed his clothes.

"Let's have hotpot today?" Jiang Mi touched her rumbling stomach and looked at him expectantly.

Jiang Xun nodded.

Jiang Mi immediately started to set the table excitedly.

It was already past ten o'clock in the evening when they finished eating. Outside the house, they could faintly hear the occasional roar of the mutants. Inside the house, Jiang Mi was slumped in a chair with his belly full.

After some simple exercises to help digest the food, the two of them lay down on the bed and did not move.

Time passed by little by little, and the whole kindergarten was silent.

Third floor.

The big-headed man closed his eyes and carefully sensed the movements of living things within a kilometer. After a long time, he opened his eyes and said happily: "Boss, they are all asleep!"

Wang Xiong showed a ferocious smile on his face, "You bitches, wait until I escape, one day I will make you live a life worse than death!"

"Fanzi!" He turned his head and looked at the man with a crew cut.

The man with a crew cut understood what he meant, took out a thin wire from his mouth and walked to the entrance of the corridor on the third floor.

There was a lock hanging on the iron gate at the entrance of the corridor. He poked the wire into the keyhole and fiddled with it for a while. Then he heard a crisp click and the iron lock moved.

Carefully removing the iron lock, the door leading downstairs slowly opened.

Wang Xiong couldn't suppress his excitement, and the others also looked excited.

"Luckily I found this wire when I was cleaning today, otherwise it would have taken a lot of effort to get out." Wang Xiong stood up and patted the man with the crew cut, "Fanzi, you've done a great job."

The crew-haired man smiled and said perfunctorily, "Of course I should."

Wang Xiong didn't notice his abnormality. He turned his head and raised his chin to the others behind him, "Go, set the fire, let's go!"

The non-mainstream man quickly took out a lighter and set fire to a large amount of paper on a pile of wooden tables and chairs.

The flames suddenly grew higher when they hit the flammable material. The dry wooden tables and chairs were instantly engulfed in flames, and the house was ablaze with fire.

“Go!”

Wang Xiong was the first to walk out of the third floor, and the big-headed man followed closely behind him, constantly sensing the movements of other people in the building.

"Boss, they didn't notice! Let's go!"

The guy with a crew cut was originally in the third position, but before he knew it he had fallen to the end of the team, and happened to be next to a non-mainstream guy.

The group walked out of the main building smoothly, and when they looked back upstairs, they could see the raging flames and billowing smoke reflected in the windows.

The roars of the mutants outside gradually increased. The big-headed man said anxiously, "The light is too strong. It has attracted many mutants. We have to leave quickly, otherwise we will be surrounded by them and it will be difficult to leave!"

Second floor.

Jiang Mi and Jiang Xun stood quietly at the window watching them. The big-headed man was busy watching the more and more mutants gathering outside the kindergarten and didn't notice them at all.

Miao Xi came and knocked on the door, accompanied by the mother and daughter. They both looked a little confused, not knowing why they were woken up in the middle of the night.

"Let's go." Jiang Mi smiled, "Your chance for revenge has come."

As he said this, he took the lead and walked towards the kindergarten gate.

They had just walked out of the main building when Wang Xiong and his group, who had already crawled out of the kindergarten, immediately received the message from the big-headed man.

"They are coming! Let's go! These mutants should be able to delay them for a while." The big-headed man ran with his legs clamped together in a weird posture, his forehead covered with cold sweat.

As he was speaking, a slender and strange figure suddenly pounced out of the darkness, and its sharp gray-green nails almost pierced his flesh.

The big-headed man was startled and subconsciously raised his leg to kick forward, but as soon as he raised his leg a little, he curled up in pain, just in time to avoid the captured mutant and escaped.

This mutant was kicked away by Wang Xiong. He glanced at the team with a gloomy expression, and finally his eyes fell on the blind younger brother who was being carried on someone's back.

"Throw him out!" Wang Xiong growled.

They had no weapons, and there was no way they could deal with these mutants. Moreover, more and more mutants were attracted by the fire. They were extremely fast at night and more difficult to detect. If they continued to harass them, they would not be able to escape.

It is better to sacrifice one person for everyone's safety.

Hearing his order, the man carrying the blind brother hesitated for a moment and then threw him out without mercy. The mutants immediately swarmed over him, and a strong smell of blood filled the air. (End of this chapter)
