The fourth volume is finished, Coke begs for a monthly ticket~
It's the end of the month, please give me some monthly tickets (for the sole purpose of this hehe~)
Then, as usual, I will talk to you about the plot. I usually put it at the beginning of the next volume, hoping that this self-narration will not interrupt your immersion in the book.
First of all, strictly speaking, this is the end of the third volume. Since Qidian will separate the free coupons and VIP coupons when distributing books, the first volume should end at the airport. However, for the sake of convenience, let's change it to the fourth volume.
Then the plot of Dawn City has come to an end. In the previous volume about Xilan City, Coke gave himself 65 points. For this volume, he can barely give himself 70 points.
It’s not that I feel my writing is better, it’s just that I made fewer stupid mistakes based on the previous volume.
But the reason why the scores of these two papers are not high is actually very simple. Coke wants to express a lot, but what he can write is limited.
This is purely a matter of writing skills, there is no excuse.
Coke is a person who likes grand narratives very much, and loves themes such as The Three-Body Problem, Pacific Rim, EVA, The Wandering Earth, zombie movies, and Doomsday Survival. At the same time, I have a fanatical respect for the Dragon Kingdom and its army, so I will unreservedly pay tribute to some plots and characters.
But the problem is, there is too much to write...
Really, many bosses have actually seen it.
Xilan City is twice as large as the Airport, and Shuguang City is three or four times larger than Xilan City. Such a large-scale war cannot be just a simple military dispatch with bombings everywhere, but it requires a lot of emotional mobilization, and the number of words and foreshadowing are also doubled.
I didn't do very well in this regard, but I really tried my best, and my current level can't go beyond this scale.
Because the scale of Dawn City was too large, there were more than 20 chapters and nearly a month of preparation between the minor climax (travel through the Star Abyss) and the major climax (the defense of Dawn City). It was very dull and the subscriptions dropped by half.
But believe me, I'm not in the water.
But there is no way, my level is too low. I had conceived the main framework and all the characters at the end of the volume in advance, and then wrote the middle part. What did this lead to? In order to achieve the effect of the end of the volume (an effect that was too greedy), I had to frantically fill in all the character settings and context, which made many lines look bland and boring.
For example, Ye Lan and Lin Xian, Chu Zhaonan, these two parties should be the absolute focus, but Ye Lan’s first communication was too far away from the subsequent pioneer plan, and this sense of urgency was diluted, but people have not entered Dawn City yet.
For example, everyone should be able to see that I have some ideas about KIKI and the Wen family, Lin Xian Mochizuki Shinji and Zhou Mingyuan, as well as Zhou Mingyuan and Wen Hui's attitude towards the people of Shuguang City, including the later recruitment meeting of Li Jian and Qin Feng. But when I found that the main line was too long and the sense of crisis was diluted, I had to cut these parts frantically, and the story of KIKI and the Wen family, Zhou Mingyuan's struggle, etc. were all glossed over, without generating much expectation and emotion.
So for Shuguang City, for Chu Zhaonan, Chu Jing and others.
Coke’s goal is to write something that scores 60 points. 70 points is considered acceptable, and not being scolded is considered a success.
All in all, Coke has come up with a lot of ideas for the climax, and currently 70% of it has been achieved in terms of visual performance, but it's still not enough, which is a pity.
And Coke has been bursting at a faster rate for 20 days in a row, so I need to ask for two days off from everyone to rest and think about the final chapter.
Coke sees if he can break through himself!
Finally, thank you all the bosses for your support and ask for a subscription.
(End of this chapter)
