Chapter 109 The Lord's Sudden Invitation
Ye Tian was sitting in the hall drinking tea when he looked up and saw Dr. S and Ren Ze rushing to see him early in the morning. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Doctor, why are you here so early? Is there something important you need to discuss with me?"
Ye Tian stood up, his gaze searching as he looked back and forth between Dr. S and Ren Ze.
Dr. S glanced subconsciously at the other people in the room, a hint of caution in his eyes.
Then, he bowed slightly to Ye Tian and said, "Lord, could we talk alone? This matter is of great importance."
Ye Tian nodded slightly, "Alright, come with me."
After saying that, he turned and walked towards the stairs.
Dr. S hurriedly followed behind Ye Tian, and Ren Ze followed closely behind as the three of them went upstairs together.
Dr. S: "Xiao Ze, you stay at the door and keep watch."
Ren Ze: "Okay, teacher."
Then, Dr. S and Ye Tian entered a room that resembled a study.
Ye Tian gestured and said, "Doctor, please have a seat!"
Dr. S slowly sat down in the chair, and Ye Tian sat down opposite him, his hands folded on his knees, his expression focused. "Doctor, you can tell me now. What exactly happened?"
Dr. S: "Lord, there is a zombie hiding inside the base."
"What!"
Ye Tian was so startled that he stood up instantly, the chair scraping against the floor with a screeching sound.
His eyes widened, his face filled with disbelief.
"Doctor, are you saying that zombies have infiltrated the base? How is that possible? The base is so heavily guarded, with patrols every day. If there were zombies inside, they would have been discovered long ago."
Dr. S frowned slightly. "What if this zombie is no different from an ordinary person?"
Ye Tian paced back and forth in the room, frowning and muttering to himself.
"Although some zombies have upgraded and advanced, possessing higher intelligence and stronger attack power, they are still different from us. The existence of such zombies is beyond my comprehension."
Dr. S clasped his hands in front of him and said, "I was also shocked, but such a thing does exist. I have confirmed it through a series of experiments and studies."
Ye Tian suddenly stopped and looked intently at Dr. S. "Who is this zombie?"
Dr. S said, enunciating each word clearly, "The scent of grapefruit."
Ye Tian was slightly taken aback. "Qin Zhuo's childhood sweetheart?"
Dr. S nodded. "It's her."
Ye Tian was still somewhat incredulous. "Doctor, are you sure you're not mistaken? Youxiang has been living in the base for a while now, and no one has noticed anything unusual. How could she be a zombie?"
Dr. S took out a lab report from his file bag and handed it to Ye Tian.
“I’m not mistaken, Lord. You can take a look. These are the results of my and Ozawa’s examination.”
Ye Tian took the lab report, sat back down, and began to carefully read through it.
Dr. S patiently explained from the side, "This is the DNA I examined using Yu Xiang's hair. Her DNA is different from human DNA, but it is exactly the same as the DNA of a zombie."
Ye Tian raised his head, a hint of doubt in his eyes, "Aren't zombies transformed from human corpses? Shouldn't their DNA be the same?"
Dr. S shook his head and said, "They're different. Zombies' DNA is more complex, containing special gene sequences that are not found in human DNA. This is one of the reasons why they can evolve and mutate. Similarly, the DNA of people with superpowers is also different from that of ordinary people."
Ye Tian slowly closed the lab report in his hand, the subtle sound of the paper rubbing together was particularly clear in the room.
He looked at Dr. S, "Doctor, why did you think of investigating her?"
Dr. S recounted how he discovered the unusual scent of grapefruit, briefly explaining the situation.
Ye Tian's eyes were deep, and it was unclear what he was thinking.
After a moment, he said, "This pomelo fragrance cannot be kept; it must be disposed of as soon as possible."
Dr. S suddenly stood up, waving his hands, "No, we can't kill her. She's an extremely precious person now."
Ye Tian was slightly taken aback, his brows furrowing tightly. "Doctor, why is that? As a zombie, she is a threat to us humans. If we don't kill her, are we going to wait until she endangers the entire base?"
Dr. S explained, "A zombie like Yuzuru is the best experimental subject; perhaps the key secrets of zombies are hidden in her."
"Killing her like this would be a terrible waste of scientific resources, and we might miss an important clue to solving the mystery of the zombies."
Ye Tian pondered for a moment, "I'll send someone to capture Youxiang alive right now, keep her under control, and then make further plans."
Dr. S quickly reached out to stop Ye Tian, "Wait a minute, Qin Zhuo and the others won't hand over Youxiang. They will definitely protect her with their lives."
Ye Tian raised an eyebrow, a look of surprise in his eyes. "They're zombies too?"
He doesn't believe humans would protect zombies.
Dr. S shook his head. "No, it's just that I discovered they probably already knew Yuka was a zombie, and they even helped cover for her."
Ye was so angry that he clenched his fists and slammed them heavily on the table, making a loud "bang".
"What were Qin Zhuo and the others thinking? This is a zombie, an alien, an enemy of humanity. How could they be so foolish as to disregard the safety of the entire base for the sake of a single zombie?"
Dr. S sighed helplessly, "Perhaps it's all because of so-called feelings. Once people are swayed by emotions, they are prone to making irrational decisions."

Ye Tian: "Then what does the doctor think we should do?"
Dr. S leaned closer to Ye Tian and whispered, "The lord can invite Qin Zhuo over for a gathering, separating them, and then send others to capture Youxiang. This will avoid direct conflict and increase the success rate of the capture."
Ye Tian nodded slightly, finding the plan feasible. "Let's do as the doctor says."
The two discussed the details for a while, and after confirming that everything was correct, they left the room.
Ren Ze, who had been waiting outside the study, immediately came forward and greeted him, "Teacher."
Dr. S looked at Ren Ze and said, "You'll be going with the men the lord sent to catch Youxiang. Remember, you must catch her."
Ren Ze straightened his back. "Yes."

On the other side, Qin Zhuo was sitting in the living room of the villa, playing with a delicate little object in his hand, when suddenly the doorbell rang.
Chen Yunfei got up to open the door, and Ye Tian's assistant walked in.
He walked up to Qin Zhuo with a respectful expression, "Mr. Qin, the lord invites you to come over."
Qin Zhuo slightly raised his head, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes, "The lord invited me over?"
Ye Tian's assistant nodded. "Yes."
Qin Zhuo stood up, his hands hanging naturally at his sides. "Did the lord invite me here for something?"
Ye Tian's assistant shook his head helplessly, "I'm not really sure about that either. The lord just sent me to invite you over."
Although Qin Zhuo had some doubts, he still stood up and straightened his clothes.
“I’ll go with you.”
After saying that, he followed his assistant toward the lord's residence.
