Just as the man was about to pounce, Ye Lei appeared behind him, a Type 54 pistol pressed against his waist.
"Don't move!"
Ye Lei shouted sternly.
"You...didn't you go downstairs to get instant noodles?"
"Enough with the nonsense, Cha Murong and Xiuyan, stand behind me."
Only then did the two realize that Ye Lei had already subdued him, so they quickly took out their pistols and stood behind him.
"Brothers, who exactly are you guys? Are you carrying real guns?"
The man saw it and became somewhat frightened.
"Whether it's the real thing or not, you'll know once you try it."
After Ye Lei finished speaking, he fired a shot at the ceiling. This shot startled everyone, and they realized that these three people were not to be trifled with.
A bedroom door opened, and a man rushed out, also holding a pistol. Cha Murong and Xiuyan saw him and pointed it at him.
"Who exactly are you people? What are you doing here?"
"That's what the person who rushed out asked."
"Big brother, save me!"
"Shut up, how did they get in? You brought them in, didn't you?"
"Brother, I'm innocent! They said they wanted to treat the brothers, so I let them in. Then they said they wanted to buy the crystal cores at a high price!"
The man was right, but unfortunately it was all Ye Lei's trap.
"Brother, let's talk this out. Isn't it a bit inappropriate to be carrying a gun?"
The one referred to as the eldest brother said.
"Okay, then put the gun away first."
Ye Lei is no fool.
"Then tell me, why have you come here? If you really want crystal cores, I'll give them to you."
The older brother spoke in a very generous and magnanimous manner.
"Oh, really? Wasn't that what you used to barter for supplies?"
Ye Lei seemed somewhat incredulous upon hearing this.
"If you really insist, we'll go and collect more. We can discuss it."
The elder brother was a smart man, but Ye Lei always felt that things weren't that simple.
"Then hurry up and hand it over."
"It's in the room right next to you. Just go in!"
"Cha Murong, go in and take a look."
"Okay, Brother Lei."
Cha Murong walked towards the closed door to the side. The eldest brother looked at Cha Murong as he prepared to open the door and revealed a cunning look.
Just as Cha Murong opened the door, a loud "roar" startled her, and she immediately retreated.
Just as she stepped out, she pulled the trigger of her pistol, and with a "clang," it sounded as if it had hit metal.
"Little Chili, what's wrong?"
Ye Lei sensed something was wrong and quickly asked.
"Brother Lei, there are zombies."
"Zombies? Tell me, what's going on?"
Ye Lei pressed the gun directly against the man's forehead.
"Brother, those are the ones we use to capture survivors!"
The man was so frightened that he raised his hands.
The leader was smiling smugly, hoping the zombie would scare these people away.
"That zombie is very powerful; sometimes even we can't control it. You should leave!"
"Leave? Leave what? You're deliberately luring our people in, aren't you? How despicable!"
Feeling deceived, Ye Lei angrily raised his pistol and shot one of his underlings who was hiding on the ground dead.
"If you dare to lie to me again, this will be your fate."
"Brother, let's talk this out. All you want is the crystal core, right? I'll get it for you."
The leader was also somewhat frightened when he saw his underling lying in a pool of blood.
"Then what's the point of all this talk?"
The eldest brother turned around and went into the room, took out a black bag, and handed it to Ye Lei.
Ye Lei, fearing he was about to try another trick, made him pour the crystal core onto the table.
Soon, a pile of pale green crystals the size of corn kernels filled the table. Ye Lei glanced at them and saw that they were all crystals of level one zombies.
Fortunately, there were about several dozen, which he unceremoniously put into his storage space.
"Brother, where did those crystal cores go?"
The eldest brother looked at the suddenly vanished crystal core, somewhat at a loss.

This zombie was tall and imposing, with bulging muscles and explosive power.
Its skin was a deathly gray color, covered with gruesome wounds and signs of decay.
His eyes were empty and lifeless, yet they revealed a chilling light that seemed to penetrate one's soul.
Its gaping maw was wide open, revealing sharp fangs, and thick saliva dripped from the corners of its mouth from time to time.
This is on a completely different level from the previous Ripper; it's many times stronger. At this moment, it's being held in a metal cage.
But where did these people come from? Just think how much effort it takes to control a level 3 zombie each time.
"Where did this zombie come from?"
Ye Lei asked.
"Brother, this was given to us by our boss. It's specifically for tearing apart survivors and obtaining their crystal cores."
"Boss? Aren't you the boss?"
"What kind of boss am I? We're just a branch here at best."
"Oh, where is your boss?"
