"Third Master, this is the guest I mentioned earlier who has instant noodles."
The scavenger explained.
"I heard you have instant noodles, where did you get them?"
The third leader asked arrogantly.
"Oh, before the apocalypse, I was in the instant noodle business, so I still have some left over!"
Ye Lei fabricated a lie that seemed flawless.
"Really? But I heard you only have three boxes. That's probably not enough, isn't it? Do you have any more at home?"
"Yes, yes, there are still some!"
"Alright, once you bring those things from home, we'll naturally let you go up into the narrow passage and feel the coolness of nature!"
"Can I go up today? It's so hot!"
Ye Lei wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"That won't do. You can't go up without seeing the instant noodles."
It seems this third leader isn't so easily fooled after all.
"Why don't you let her go up? She's used to being pampered and can't stand this heat!"
Ye Lei pulled Chen Xueer from behind; it was her turn to shine.
"That won't work either, wait... that's not impossible either."
The third leader was captivated by Chen Xue'er after just one glance, and her gentle smile almost drove him mad.
"Then I'll have to trouble you, Third Master. Xue'er, you come up with me. I'll come pick you up after I've finished exchanging the supplies!"
"Okay, I understand!"
Chen Xueer took the third leader's hand and walked upstairs. She turned back and winked at Ye Lei, and the two quickly reached an agreement.
