"Brother Lei, you're amazing! I'd completely forgotten about this big guy!"
"Shut up, or I'll make you its lunch in a minute!"
Ye Lei hadn't recovered yet, so this was the only option left; he had to have Ripper push the car to the gas station.
"What's wrong now? Don't be angry. This is the apocalypse. Don't get so angry that you die before you even get bitten by a zombie. That would be such a waste!"
Xia Yuhe's joke cheered Ye Lei up a bit.
"Get angry at yourself? I won't! You'll all be relying on me from now on!"
"That's right, without Brother Lei, Blue Star would be doomed. How about I sing you a song?"
Xia Yuhe finally found a way to make Ye Lei happy.
"You can sing? Is it good?"
"Whether it sounds good or not, you'll know once you hear it!"
"Fine, if you don't sing well, I'll feed you to the zombies!"
Ye Lei jokingly threatened.
"No way! You can hear it for yourself."

"What song are you singing? I've never heard of it before."
Ye Lei just thought it sounded nice.
"Actually, I don't know either. I just thought it sounded nice, so I learned a couple of lines. Whether it sounds nice or not, I don't know!"
Xia Yuhe sings really well.
"It's alright, I feel much better!"
"That's right. Being happy is still a day. In this apocalypse, being alive is a kind of happiness. Don't you agree, Brother Lei?"
"You're right, being alive is a blessing."
Through this conversation, the two grew much closer, which may have been the kind of relationship Xia Yuhe wanted from the beginning!
When we arrived at the gas station, it was deserted, and there were no zombies either. Maybe the zombies didn't like the smell of gasoline!
Then I'll just fill it up myself; it doesn't cost any money anyway.
Ye Lei got out of the car, inserted the gas nozzle into the fuel tank, and pressed the switch. Luckily, there was still plenty of gas left!
He walked to the back of the car and saw the exhausted Ripper panting heavily. He felt a little embarrassed, having asked him to clear the way and exert himself.
He took out five pounds of pork belly from his spatial storage and handed it to the Ripper. The Ripper perked up immediately when it saw the food and finished it in a few bites, seemingly still not satisfied.
Ye Lei wouldn't give him any more. These precious ingredients would become increasingly scarce in the future, and they were all prepared for himself.
After filling up the car with gas, Ye Lei wondered if he should store some gasoline in his spatial storage. However, this was a dangerous substance; if it exploded, it would likely destroy everything!
Forget it, let's not do it until the shelter is built. But we still need to stockpile some, as these resources will only become less and less available.
He walked into the gas station's office, only to find it was also a convenience store. Without any hesitation, Ye Lei put all the goods on the shelves into his spatial storage.
I took two empty oil cans, filled them with gas, and threw them into the trunk of the BMW. Anyway, there were no traffic police around, so it was safer that way.
After settling things in, Ye Lei had the Ripper sit in the back seat of the BMW. Although it was a bit out of place with the rest of the car, Xia Yuhe didn't say anything.
After all, without it pushing the car, they wouldn't be able to get to the gas station, so it deserves a rest.
Ye Lei drove his BMW to the hotel where Chen Xueer was staying. He was confident that this time, she hadn't run away.
"Brother Lei, what are we doing here?"
Xia Yuhe thought Ye Lei wanted to chat again.
"Go see a friend, you might even know them!"
Ye Lei deliberately didn't say anything.
"Oh, I know him too. Who is it?"
"You'll know when you see it!"
"Really? It's so rare to see someone you know in the apocalypse. I'm really looking forward to it!"
"Let's go upstairs!"
The two walked to Chen Xueer's room and knocked on the door.
"who?"
Chen Xueer's voice came from inside.
"It's me, your brother Lei! Open the door!"
"Brother Lei, you're finally back! I thought you weren't coming back!"
When Chen Xueer heard that Ye Lei had returned, she shouted happily.
"This voice sounds familiar, but I just can't remember who it is."
Xia Yuhe scratched her head and said.
"Won't you find out soon? Hehe!"
Ye Lei thought about how he had saved two of the four campus beauties, but wondered where the other two were.
When Chen Xueer moved the table blocking the door and opened it, Xia Yuhe finally saw clearly.
"Sister Xue'er, what are you doing here?"
"Little sister Yuhe, what brings you here?"
Both of them were incredulous at the other's appearance.
"Me? Let's not even talk about it. What about you? What are you doing at the hotel?"
"Well, some things just happened, and then the apocalypse happened!"
Chen Xueer, of course, wouldn't say anything.
The two sisters entered the room chatting and laughing. Ye Lei took out a bag of food from his spatial storage and carried it in his hand.
"And then you met Brother Lei?"
"Brother Lei? Why are you calling him that too?"
"Alright, you sisters can chat here. I have something to do and I'm going out!"
Ye Lei hates it when women nag together.
"You just got back, why are you going out again?"
Chen Xueer said with a hint of displeasure.
"When did it become your turn to speak? Do you all intend to stay here indefinitely?"
