"Then your tribe suffered heavy losses."
Ye Lei glanced at the relatively few demon hunters behind him.
"Yes, everyone thought they were just ant zombies and didn't take them seriously. It wasn't until the tribe was surrounded that they realized it was too late to run!"
Ah Gang's eyes were filled with tears, perhaps because even his loved ones had not escaped.
"That's really troublesome!"
These massive numbers of ant zombies are probably the most difficult to deal with. The only option is to unite, otherwise, the last survivors will be wiped out.
Ye Lei waved to Deputy Captain Liu. This time, it was for survival; they had to unite and share weal and woe.
"Ye Lei, what's wrong?"
Deputy Captain Liu walked over and asked.
"Deputy Captain Liu, haven't you received any news about the ant zombies?"
"Ant zombies? Could it be..."
"What could it be? Tell me quickly, what time is it?!"
Ye Lei hates people who speak haltingly.
"Here's the thing, I just received some images, taken by satellite. They say they've discovered a dark mass in the Ten Thousand Mountains, but it's too far away to see what it is. They asked me to investigate. Could that be the ant zombies you mentioned?"
Deputy Captain Liu blurted it all out in one breath.
"Where is the image? Take it out and let's see it."
Ye Lei couldn't wait to witness the power of the ant zombies.
"Here."
After Deputy Captain Liu finished speaking, he opened the tablet computer he was carrying. When he opened the images, Ye Lei was completely shocked. The images were dark and reflected light under the sun.
"Yes, these are it!"
Ah Gang recognized it immediately after just one glance.
"You mean this whole dark mass is made up of ant zombies?"
Deputy Captain Liu was completely stunned by the result.
"Yes, that's right, these are all ant zombies."
"Oh my god, this is terrifying! But I remember ants don't eat people, right?"
Deputy Captain Liu asked, clinging to a sliver of hope.
"You're wrong. They're zombies now, not the weak ants you see. Many of the Witchers have turned into skeletons."
"What are we going to do? I remember that ants use their antennae to catch their prey. With so many survivors here, they must have already discovered us, right?"
Deputy Captain Liu's words served as a reminder to everyone.
"Yes, perhaps an army of ant zombies is heading this way. We must take defensive measures quickly."
"Yes, I'll arrange it right away."
Deputy Captain Liu left in a hurry; the upcoming battle would be extremely fierce.
"Ah Gang, what are your plans?"
Ye Lei asked, hoping that the Witcher could have a different strategy.
"Not yet. There are too many of these ant zombies; we simply can't handle them."
It seems that even these valiant witchers are helpless against these ants they once looked down upon.
"Why don't we stay and fight off the ant zombies together?"
Ye Lei could only offer suggestions.
"But will they agree to let us stay?"
Ah Gang glanced at the soldiers opposite him.
"What time is it? Let's not worry about anything else. Let's wipe out the ant zombies first. Come with me."
After Ye Lei finished speaking, he led A Gang toward Zhang Shaohua, who was now the highest-ranking official here.
"Major Zhang, you must know about the ant zombies, right?"
Ye Lei was very polite.
"Yes, I have already made the arrangements and begun the deployment. We are determined to protect the safety of the underground city at all costs."
He spoke in a military tone.
"What I mean is, since it's witchers who came to deliver the message, why not keep them here? They might be of some help."
Having dealt with the Witchers for so long, Ye Lei still didn't know what powerful methods they possessed, so he took this opportunity to find out.
"Them? Are they supposed to shoot zombies with bows and arrows?"
Zhang Shaohua certainly looked down on the Witcher; in his eyes, only heavy weapons were the most domineering.
"Major Zhang, have you forgotten that Director Xia died from their Soul-Devouring Agent? You were given those drugs too, so the ingredients must be more than just a sleeping potion, right?"
Ye Lei wanted to remind Zhang Shaohua that the methods of the Witcher were not as simple as they seemed.
"Yes, you're right, that Soul-Devouring Potion does contain lethal ingredients. In that case, let's keep it. But you must tell them not to cause trouble!"
After saying that, Zhang Shaohua turned and walked away. Perhaps he also hoped to contribute more.
"Ah Gang, you heard that too. You can stay here. Now go find a safe place and prepare to fight off the army of ant zombies!"
Things unfolded exactly as Ye Lei had predicted.
"Okay, thank you!"
Agang looked around, found a place with a high mountain behind it, and led his people there.
Ye Lei watched as the soldiers busily built defensive fortifications at the entrance of the underground city. They skillfully set up heavy machine guns, preparing to deal with the impending threat.
However, when the image of the overwhelming ant-like zombies appeared in his mind, a sense of unease arose in his heart. These ant-like zombies were so numerous that even the most powerful weapons would likely be ineffective against such a large number of enemies.
Machine guns might be able to eliminate some of the ant-like zombies, but for such a massive number, it seems like a drop in the ocean.
Ye Lei pondered to himself, did they have any other means to combat this disaster? Or was this destined to be a desperate battle...?
Thinking of this, Ye Lei had to gather the people he brought together. If the underground city couldn't withstand the attack of the ant zombies, he would definitely have to run away.
After all, the shelter is his base of operations, and that's the next target of the ant zombies. There are so many goddesses waiting for his protection inside!
"Red Boy, go find Sister Xiuxiu and Sister Ma Jing first, okay? After you find them, bring them here. We can't be separated, understand?"
Ye Lei knew that only by splitting up could they save time.
"Okay, I understand. We can't be apart."
After saying that, Red Boy ran into the underground city. Ye Lei also prepared to go to the second floor of the underground city to look for Xia Yuhe and Beanna.
When he entered the underground city again, it was in complete chaos. The peaceful atmosphere from before was gone, and people were running around in a panic, looking tense.
Presumably everyone already knows that the ant zombie army is coming, and everyone is busy ensuring their safety. Although it's not the first time, the terrifying atmosphere is enough to make them feel like the sky is about to fall.
