Chapter 316: Guest Questioning

"How did you find the child's eyes familiar?"

"I didn't notice this child at first. But when I distributed candy to the children in the village, all the children in the village gathered in front of me to grab the candy."

"This one kid not only didn't grab the candy, but also stayed very far away. I thought it was strange, so I gave him a piece of candy."

"Tell me quickly, did this child take your candy?" Li Huailiang asked anxiously.

"General, he accepted the candy. However, he left very quickly. I was helping sell things, so I didn't pay any attention to him."

"Then think carefully about why his eyes look familiar. Normally, you should have been meeting a lot of children recently."

"Yes, General. Speaking of this, I'm also puzzled. I don't have any relatives here and I don't know them at all."

But I just felt that those eyes, I must have seen them somewhere, so they felt familiar."

"It's mainly the child's eyes. They don't look like a child's. He looks very calm. He doesn't look like a refugee child."

After hearing this, Li Huailiang had a guess in his mind. However, he couldn't be sure until he saw the child.

"Then let me ask you, do you remember where that refugee group is? If you go there tomorrow, can you find it?"

Li Huailiang stared at the tall man and answered.

"General, I can find it."

"Okay, that's good. Take me there again tomorrow morning. I want to see the child."

"Yes, General."

"Go out first and leave me alone."

The tall man quietly left the room.

Li Huailiang rubbed his face and still felt very excited.

He walked around the room more than ten times, then sat down and wrote a secret letter, which he sent to the eldest prince by carrier pigeon.

Although he hadn't seen the child yet, Li Huailiang still felt it was important to make the eldest prince happy. After all, there had been no news about the young prince for a long time.

After a while, he called someone in to clean up the table and the broken teacups.

He now felt that time was passing too slowly and he really hoped that tomorrow would come in the blink of an eye.

It soon got dark, and Yun Yiyi kept looking at the foot of the mountain.

Finally, when she looked at the foot of the mountain again, she saw Brother Yun.

Soon, Yun the Butcher and his companions returned home.

"Dad, Mom, Big Brother, Second Brother, Third Brother, please sit down and rest for a while, drink some water, and take a break."

Butcher Yun put the basket inside the carriage and said, "Got it, Yiyi. I'll be right there after I put the basket down."

Yun Yiyi couldn't help, so she brought a bowl of water to Yun the Butcher.

Butcher Yun drank the water and continued to put baskets into the carriage.

"Yiyi, go light the fire. There's water in the pot. Once the water boils, I'll put the dumplings in."

"Mom, I'll be there right away."

Yun Yiyi put down the bowl and went to light the fire. Xie Zirui followed her.

Butcher Yun finally put away all the baskets he had carried back. He sighed, washed his hands, and sat down to rest.

"Boss, you and the children should rest. I'll go make the dumplings once the water boils."

"My sister-in-law next door brought over the cooked pig's head this afternoon. There's a big plate of it, and I've already cut it up, so you can eat it right away."

"In addition, I fried two dishes and cut a plate of kimchi, and placed them on the table with bowls.

"By the way, Boss, have you and Brother Wu agreed on where you're going to drink?"

Butcher Yun replied, "We've already discussed it. Brother Wu asked him to go to his house for a drink. He said that his family, father and son, were all drinking, so we could drink together."

Zhang was a little surprised. She didn't expect the discussion to lead to such a result.

"Boss, I'll give you half of the cooked dishes. Besides, the eldest brother and sister-in-law of the Wu family both like to eat our kimchi."

"I'll get another plate of kimchi, you take it over."

Butcher Yun nodded, "Okay, wife. You can make the decision on these matters."

"Is the pig's head meat good enough, head of the household?" Zhang asked with some embarrassment.

Butcher Yun thought for a moment and said, "Forget it, don't bring the pig's head over. My sister-in-law just brought it over this afternoon. If I bring it over again, she'll be upset."

"But, boss, it's not a good idea for you to just bring two dishes over, right?

Yun the butcher also felt embarrassed.

"Master, how about I pack a few pounds of the peaches and persimmons you picked in the mountains today and have my sister-in-law share them with the children at home?"

Butcher Yun nodded and said, "Wife, don't do this idea. But don't pack too much. Four or five pounds of peaches and persimmons will be enough."

Zhang immediately smiled and said, "Okay, boss, I'll go and pack it up now. You can bring it over later."

Zhang quickly packed out a small basket of persimmons and peaches.

She also divided the stir-fried vegetables into a separate plate and cut a large plate of kimchi into pieces. She even drizzled a few drops of sesame oil on it.

Before Yun Yiyi boiled the water in the pot, Old Man Wu from next door came over and called Yun the Butcher.

After a while of pushing and shoving, Old Man Wu and Butcher Yun carried the dishes and baskets and went to the Wu family next door to drink.

After a while, the water in the big iron pot finally boiled.

Zhang asked Brother Yun to bring the oil lamp over to light up the place while she started to make dumplings.

She put all the dumplings she had made this afternoon into the pot. She was thinking that if she couldn't finish them tonight, she could just heat them up and eat them tomorrow morning.

She put the lid on the pot and waited for the water to boil.

Finally, after she poured cold water into the pot twice, the plump white celery and meat dumplings were cooked and all floated on the water.

Zhang used a colander to put the dumplings into bowls and plates.

"Okay, Yiyi, Zirui. Put out the fire, wash your hands, and get ready to eat."

"I understand, mother."

"Yes, Auntie."

Only after everyone was seated at the table did Zhang let everyone eat dumplings.

After working all afternoon, everyone was already starving.

For a moment, everyone ate in silence and no one spoke.

Unexpectedly, after a while, Yun Yiyi put down her chopsticks first.

"Mom, I'm full. Wait a minute, I'll wash up and go straight to bed."

Zhang said hurriedly, "Okay, Yiyi, go wash up quickly. You've been tired all day. Get some extra sleep tomorrow night and don't rush up the mountain."

"Come on, mother."

Yun Yiyi quickly went to wash up. After a while, she could be heard snoring softly.

It seems that he is really tired. He fell asleep as soon as he lay down on the bed.

Next, several children had dinner one after another.

"Big Boss, take your brothers and go wash up, then go to bed. You don't need to clean up the things on the table. I'll clean it up slowly later."

"Mom, do you really not need help?" Brother Yun asked again without giving up.
