A long trail of followers followed behind them. The two even had time to chat. Li Xin'er glanced at Carl's curved blade.
"This knife is quite good."
"This was a gift my teacher made by hand for my 18th birthday, and I've never taken it out of my sight for the past eleven years."
Carl spoke with a rare air of deep sorrow and grief.
He thought Li Xin'er would be curious about his teacher, but to his surprise, Li Xin'er nodded as if she suddenly understood.
"Oh, you're 29 years old."
Carl turned his head to look at her with some surprise, and seeing that Li Xin'er still seemed carefree and indifferent to everything, a faint smile appeared on his lips.
"Yes, 29 years old."
Li Xin'er noticed the level 1 zombie behind her getting closer and closer, so she immediately turned around and instantly pulled out a long knife from her spatial storage.
With a swift swing of his longsword, so fast that not only the zombies behind him, but even Carl didn't have time to react.
A zombie head fell to the ground with a thud. He quickly grabbed a fishing rod and used it to catch the head on the ground.
When Carl turned around, he saw Li Xin'er holding a long knife in one hand and a fishing rod in the other.
He held the long pole in his hand, his head inside the fishing net, dragging it on the ground, leaving a dark brown trail.
Li Xin'er greeted them expressionlessly.
"They're gone."
The zombies were getting closer and closer, and she didn't want to kill them, so of course she had to leave quickly.
Upon reaching the car, Zhan Yi's men saw a large group following behind Li Xin'er and her group, and were about to go forward to help.
Li Xin'er raised her hand to stop her.
"Never mind, get in the car, let's go."
"good."
As the driver, the cassowary quickly got into the vehicle, while the others provided cover to clear out the nearest zombies.
Li Xin'er casually tossed the long sword in her hand to the hornbill that held the dagger.
"Use this."
To her, these longswords were disposable, but the hornbill treasured them like precious gems. When cutting down zombies, the longswords were far more effective than daggers.
"Thank you, Sister Xin."
The others watched with longing, their eyes filled with envy.
Li Xin'er was speechless. What was there to argue about? She said irritably:
"Alright, I'll give them to you later."
"Thank you, Sister Xin!"
"Sister Xin is the best!"
Everyone instantly beamed with joy, eagerly showering him with compliments.
Gavin wasn't interested in the longsword; instead, his eyes lit up as he looked at the head trailing behind Li Xin'er.
It seems only pretty women appeal to him; he walks with his head down...
The gaze was too blatant. Li Xin'er walked to the car and shoved the fishing rod into Gavin's hand.
"Here you go, I need your head."
Gavin looked flattered once again.
"I will definitely keep it safe if my sister needs it."
The others exaggeratedly rubbed the goosebumps on their arms and quickly got into the car, not wanting to look at Gavin, that pervert, any longer.
The people upstairs panicked the moment they saw Li Xin'er and the others getting into the car and leaving.
"Hey! What's going on with you guys? Why did you leave?"
"Come up and save us first!"
"Don't go! Save us! Take us with you!"
Some people, unable to stop Li Xin'er and the others, became desperate and started throwing things down from the building, specifically targeting the car.
The object didn't actually hit anything, but the sound of it hitting the ground excited the zombie even more, causing it to speed up considerably.
As the zombies surrounded the car, the people upstairs became even more excited, with some even calling on others to join in.
"Quick, throw things at them! We can't let them get away like this! They have guns. If they wanted to save us, they could definitely do so. They're just letting us die!"
"They're gone, we're just going to starve to death here!"
"Yes! Nobody's leaving! We'll all die together!"
They started throwing things down in a frenzy, beginning with small items and then moving on to tables, chairs and other furniture.
It's only because Li Xin'er and her friends' car is so durable that it would have been smashed flat long ago.
The last blood pheasant to board the vehicle was nearly hit by a falling object; it was quite a fright.
"Holy crap, these people are insane."
The vulture, enraged, grabbed his gun and prepared to get out of the car.
"Damn it, I can't take it anymore. Let me go up and shoot them full of holes."
Seeing this, the cassowary in the driver's seat didn't rush to start the car, but turned around and suggested:
"No need for that. Just set up the machine gun and fire a burst."
Everyone was eager to try it, but no one acted on their own, waiting for Li Xin'er and Carl's approval.
Li Xin'er had no such intention, but she made the arrangements.
"Cassow, drive it into the factory for a spin first."
Although the cassow didn't immediately guess what Li Xin'er was planning, since she had said that, she must have a plan, and he felt a little excited.
"Okay!"
Gao Xing started the car, and everyone else looked at Li Xin'er expectantly.
Li Xin'er grabbed the bald eagle by the neck and pulled it closer to her.
"Little Eagle, take this and lure those zombies into the building."
As she spoke, she took out a large firecracker from her spatial storage and tore open the red paper wrapping on her own.
She took apart the firecracker that was coiled into a round disc, revealing a long strip, which she was about to tie to the bald eagle's foot.
The little eagle felt a chill run down its spine and shrank its neck, trying to hide behind Carl.
Before Li Xin'er could make a move, Carl ruthlessly pushed it over.
He even held its feet and handed it to Li Xin'er so she could tie the firecrackers, giving it instructions in a very serious manner.
“You can fly down from upstairs.”
In other words, this job is absolutely perfect for them...
As he spoke, he smiled encouragingly and patted the bald eagle's little head. The bald eagle turned to look at Carl in disbelief.
