In the dead of winter, the biting wind outside was fierce, stinging one's face.
Li Xin'er wasn't afraid of the cold, but the cold wind made her face feel uncomfortable, so she put on a mask.
He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, which he pulled up, and strolled leisurely with his hands in his pockets.
As I walked, I arrived at the parking lot where I had come from earlier.
The parking lot was huge, and it was filled with all kinds of trucks, stretching as far as the eye could see.
The lighting here is dim, and there's a wooden pole with a light bulb hanging from it standing quite a distance away. I haven't seen it during the day today, so it's probably been set up temporarily.
There were only two or three people on duty in the vehicle dispatch area.
Li Xin'er lifted her foot and walked towards the door, but suddenly stopped in her tracks. It was Qin Siye.
Qin Si leaned against the hood of a truck late at night, head down, smoking a cigarette. The swirling smoke accentuated his arrogant and unruly demeanor.
His forehead was streaked with dark hair, his face bore several fresh wounds, and his black hooded sweatshirt was torn and stained with dust.
The dim streetlights stretched his shadow long until it disappeared into the darkness.
As if sensing something, he looked up. His sharp, cold phoenix eyes paused for a moment when he saw Li Xin'er, then he casually looked away.
Li Xin'er was wearing a mask and hat, and the lighting was dim, so he didn't recognize her at all.
Furthermore, the only time Qin Siye had ever seen Li Xin'er was when he stopped her car in the suburbs, and Li Xin'er was disguised that time.
Even after Qin Siye learned that she was Li Xin'er, he had only seen Li Xin'er's original appearance through videos and photos.
But the current Xin'er is different from the Li Xin'er of the past, not to mention the photos that are overly edited.
Seeing that he didn't recognize her, Li Xin'er immediately looked away and continued walking forward.
"Brother Ye!"
At this moment, Qian Leduo, clutching his stomach and with a bruised and swollen face, ran out from somewhere.
Qin Siye's expression changed slightly, and he turned to stare at him, asking sharply:
"Didn't you go to the sports car? What happened?"
They drove their cars in small teams, each with armed soldiers responsible for security, so there shouldn't be any accidents.
Qian Leduo jogged up to him, leaned against the truck's hood, panting heavily, his face contorted in pain.
"I'm back. Just finished the handover. You... Gray and his gang want to siphon oil from your car..."
He was still out of breath and spoke with difficulty.
Qin Siye didn't hear what he was saying, only that he was going to drain the oil from his car, and his face instantly darkened.
He threw the cigarette butt on the ground and strode towards the direction Qian Leduo had come from, his first step extinguishing the cigarette butt he had thrown down.
Seeing him leave so aggressively, Qian Leduo disregarded his own pain and quickly chased after him.
"Brother Ye! Wait for me!"
Before they set off, Ye Ge and his friends got into a fight because they wanted to steal oil from Ye Ge's car.
Fortunately, the bus was notified to depart, and we were able to stop in time.
Who would have thought that after Huizi and his team returned from their run, they were still thinking about this matter.
He went to stop them, but was beaten up by several people.
Ye Ge valued that car as much as his lifeblood. Hui Zi and the others did it on purpose; they were dissatisfied with the previous shift arrangement and had always disliked Ye Ge.
You can't blame Brother Ye for that. It's all arranged by the base. If there's a problem, why not go to the management and instead cause trouble for Brother Ye in private?
While inwardly complaining, Qian Leduo endured the pain and happily followed along.
We can't let Brother Ye fight alone.
Li Xin'er overheard their conversation and, seeing them rushing away in a hurry, became interested and followed them.
At the very edge of the parking lot, all the cars are private vehicles, many of which were driven there by survivors.
The survivors were all accommodated in the base. These vehicles weren't used much, so this area was at the very back.
To save electricity, only one light was installed, making this area the darkest.
When Li Xin'er arrived, she saw a group of people fighting.
She looked around and quickly found a suitable place to watch the play, the nearest large locust tree.
Concealing his presence, he silently climbed the tree, stood on a branch, and looked down at the entire 'battlefield' with crystal clarity.
Li Xin'er noticed the car next to them; it looked familiar. She glanced at the decorations on the driver's seat and then it dawned on her.
Isn't this the red Pagani she sold?
The car's fuel tank area had been pried open, and the surrounding area was scratched beyond recognition.
There were also oil drums and pipes scattered next to the car.
Qin Siye and Qian Leduo, two against six, are clearly at a disadvantage.
Li Xin'er found it strange that Qin Siye, who was clearly a superhuman, hadn't used his abilities.
Not only him, but two of the six people also sensed the energy fluctuations and were also superhumans. Neither of them intended to use their superhuman abilities.
Li Xin'er watched as the eight people engaged in hand-to-hand combat, each throwing a punch and kick, slapping and clawing.
Qian Leduo was beaten until he was spitting blood, and then he got angry and started yelling and cursing.
"Han Hui, are you fucking crazy! There are so many cars, why are you so desperate for this little bit from my brother Ye's car?!"
Han Hui looked to be in his early twenties, rather thin, with large, bulging eyes like a frog.
He was nonchalant and arrogant, with a smug and cocky air about him.
"Other cars might have some use, but yours is utterly useless. You might as well make the most of it."
At this moment, Qian Leduo was being held down by the two men, his face pressed against the muddy ground, his face distorted by the pressure, yet he still didn't forget to retort.
"Pah! It's not like we haven't paid our parking fees. Even if we need to siphon oil, it's not your place to do it. You're just making up excuses to deliberately cause trouble!"
