Li Xin'er lifted her foot and walked towards that direction. The mutated beasts that had been surrounding her unconsciously retreated warily, making way for Li Xin'er.
The mutated beasts could keenly sense the power of the woman before them, and they dared not make any rash moves.
The gazes that were originally fixed on the group of people at the base have now shifted to Li Xin'er. They are keeping a close eye on Li Xin'er's every move, fearing that she might suddenly attack them.
The base survivors were stunned by the scene. They had personally witnessed just how arrogant these mutated beasts had been.
How powerful must this woman be to allow so many mutated beasts to run rampant?
Seeing that Li Xin'er was clearly heading towards Ma Ruicai in the group, the team leader tentatively spoke up.
What are you going to do?
Qin Siye didn't speak again and waited for Li Xin'er's actions.
Li Xin'er stopped in front of them, still staring at Ma Ruicai, who was carrying Qian Leduo's backpack.
"Where did Qian Leduo go? Why are you carrying his backpack?"
Upon hearing this, everyone looked at Ma Ruicai, who was clearly feeling guilty.
Ma Ruicai looked terrified, shrank his neck, and didn't dare to answer.
Seeing that the mutated beasts were all afraid of Li Xin'er and clearly didn't want to offend her at this moment, some of the others asked Ma Ruicai with displeasure:
"I'm asking you a question. Tell me, weren't you in the car in front of and behind Qian Leduo earlier? Did you see him?"
As soon as he spoke, others who knew Qian Leduo chimed in with their own opinions.

"I didn't see Qian Leduo when I got off the bus at the bridge."
"Then how come Qian Leduo's bag is with you?"
"Ma Ruicai, do you know something? Speak up!"
Ma Ruicai clearly lacked composure. Seeing that no one was speaking up for him, he panicked and shook his head, insisting he didn't know.
“I don’t know. I saw him when I left. This bag... this bag was the one he lent me to pack my things.”
As he spoke, he gripped the backpack strap tightly, as if afraid someone would snatch the bag away.
Upon hearing this, Qin Siye immediately and vehemently retorted, refusing to believe him.
"You're lying! He would never lend you his bag!"
Ma Ruicai was also in their transport team, and coincidentally, they were assigned to the same tent dormitory.
However, Ma Ruicai is a man who likes to take advantage of others, is a gossip, and is cunning and sly in his work, which makes him unpopular. Those in the transport team who know him are unwilling to team up with him for missions.
Qian Leduo had previously gone on two missions with Ma Ruicai, and they had clashed upon their return, so their relationship was not good.
Qian Leduo secretly hated Ma Ruicai to death, so how could he possibly lend him his backpack?
The mutated beasts surrounding them seemed to be running out of patience, looking at the group of humans and roaring at them, showing some impatience.
Several gray wolves tentatively approached Li Xin'er, baring their sharp teeth.
Li Xin'er glanced around and finally pinpointed her target to a giant panda that was nearly four meters tall.
This panda was already chubby and round, but now it has mutated and its size has increased to four or five times.
It held an old bamboo pole with one arm bent, staring at the crowd, as if deep in thought.
Li Xin'er spoke directly to the giant panda:
"Are you looking for your cub?"
As soon as she spoke, the panda's eyes lit up. It looked at Li Xin'er and couldn't help but move closer to her.
When Li Xin'er uttered the word "clown," Ma Rui's heart skipped a beat, and his legs began to tremble.
Li Xin'er continued speaking to the giant panda, "I know where your cubs are."
Upon hearing this, the giant panda turned its head and looked directly at Ma Ruicai, its eyes filled with a fierce, murderous aura.
Following the giant panda's gaze and the heavy breathing signals, the other mutated beasts became restless, as if they were about to rush forward and tear the group of people in front of them apart and devour them.
Ma Rui finally chickened out; he couldn't hold it in any longer and, in a self-destructive, tearful voice, he pleaded.
"It wasn't me, I didn't mean to take it."
He took off the backpack while crying, and with trembling hands, he opened the zipper, revealing a soft and cute little panda inside.
The red panda had full fur and looked like it was only a few months old, but it still had the bloodstains of newborn clinging to its body and its eyes were not yet open.
It seems this is a red panda that was recently born...
It seems that the cubs born from the mutated panda skipped the 'little mouse' stage.
When everyone saw the red panda in the backpack and the group of mutated beasts opposite them that had clearly calmed down, they instantly understood the reason for all of this.
Everyone now wanted nothing more than to strangle Ma Ruicai; some even started cursing him.
"Ma Ruicai, are you fucking crazy?! You've killed all our brothers!"
"It's all because of you! Because of you, you thief!"
Some people squatted on the ground, cursing and sobbing uncontrollably, because Ma Ruicai alone had caused the deaths of so many of them.
Among the dead were their comrades, friends, brothers, or family members...
They didn't die from the zombie horde, but from the hands of their own foolish comrades.
Ma Ruicai had already knelt on both knees, his face covered in snot and tears, begging for everyone's forgiveness.
"I didn't know it was because of this..."
Actually, when the giant panda was staring intently at his direction and attacking, Ma Rui had already guessed what was going on, but he was afraid. He was afraid that if he told the truth, no one would care.
