"Why isn't Sister Xin back yet? Is she stuck on the road?"
Ali stood guard beside the snow and used his fire-based abilities to quickly melt it.
Melted snow water flows into the drainage outlet along the ditches.
Ali also looked worried, frequently glancing towards the other end of the road and asking Carl, who was repairing the gate nearby.
"Boss, should we go and meet up with Sister Xin?"
Carl didn't even look up; his hands continued hammering nails.
Do you know where she went?
Ali was speechless after hearing this, and awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
"I really don't know."
Vulture's eyes darted around, and he chimed in, "Sister Xin must have gone to that bridge. When she was at the base gate, she was talking to those two, and something seemed off."
Ali thought it made sense, and then looked at Carl to see what he would say next.
Carl remained unmoved, his tone becoming somewhat displeased and serious.
"Do what we should do."
He knew very well that with Li Xin'er's abilities, this little bit of snow wouldn't be able to trap her at all.
What they need to do now is to take advantage of the fact that the snow has just started to fall and repair everything around the neighborhood.
Upon hearing Carl's words, Vulture and Ali awkwardly shut their mouths, exchanging a knowing look.
There are so many repair shops that need manpower, and of all times they've arranged for them to clear this road—isn't it just because they're worried Sister Xin's car won't be able to get back...?
