The commotion here successfully attracted the attention of the other two forces in the west of the city.
Both sides sent people to gather information, and when they learned that Brother Xin had found hundreds of people hiding underground, some people couldn't sit still.
Qiao Ruoyun was discussing with Wei Sanwa the arrangements for receiving supplies and returning hostages with the Mu family the next day, as agreed upon.
Upon hearing his younger brother's report, Wei Sanwa, wearing a large jade thumb ring, touched his smooth, hard-boiled head.
"Damn it, it must be those old geezers!"
He jumped up so suddenly that he overturned the chair.
Wei Sanwa was very excited and slammed his hand on the square wooden table in front of him again, instantly shattering the table into a pile of wooden strips.
"Brothers, grab your weapons! Follow me!"
He said that those people seemed to have vanished into thin air, and he couldn't find them anywhere.
He thought those people had infiltrated the base and had recently been sending people in to search for them, but he never expected that they had been hiding right under his nose all along.
He can finally avenge his brother!
Wei Sanwa's eyes were bloodshot and red, and his hands were clenched so tightly they cracked. He had already thought of a thousand ways that group of people could die.
"Yes, Third Brother!"
After the younger brother finished speaking, he stepped outside, ready to gather his brothers.
At this moment, Qiao Ruoyun also stood up. "Third Brother, we're not sure if they're your enemies yet. It might not be good to go over there in such a big way."
Jin Xin was the one who arrested people. If they go over like this, won't they be mistaken for the mastermind behind it all, deliberately causing trouble?
The underling who received the order paused, glanced at Qiao Ruoyun, and looked at her with disdain.
Seeing that Wei Sanwa did not stop him from changing his mind, he ignored Qiao Ruoyun's words and continued to leave.
Qiao Ruoyun took in their attitude towards her, and her eyes darkened.
Wei Sanwa is a power-type ability user. Before the apocalypse, he was a gangster with many followers.
After the apocalypse, many of his underlings became superhuman, and the team expanded ever larger.
She had just started actively working with the team and was looking for supplies when she unfortunately bumped into Wei Sanwa.
Qiao Ruoyun knew she didn't have the power to confront him head-on, so she adopted a roundabout tactic, gaining Wei Sanwa's approval and becoming his sworn brother.
Although she gained a foothold among this group thanks to her strength and ruthless methods, there were always some troublemakers among her subordinates who were not convinced of her abilities.
For example, that guy just now didn't take her words seriously at all.
Wei Sanwa's attitude was ambiguous; he usually gave them plenty of face, but sometimes he would tolerate their disrespect.
Normally, if Qiao Ruoyun offered any suggestions, Wei Sanwa would definitely listen; he admitted that she was a smart woman.
But today, since it involves his brother, he couldn't control his emotions, and he wasn't in the mood to think calmly.
"You'll find out when you get there!"
As he spoke, he glanced at Qiao Ruoyun with a warning in his eyes.
"If you don't want to go, you don't have to go."
But don't stop him from doing things, otherwise he won't give anyone face.
Wei Sanwa and his younger brother grew up together, relying on each other for survival. They had a deep bond and were deeply committed to revenge.
Having spent so much time together, Qiao Ruoyun understood Wei Sanwa quite well. Being sensible, she didn't say anything more.
"I'm definitely going to be with Third Brother."
She knew that Wei Sanwa's younger brother was pushed into a horde of zombies and killed by some people after the apocalypse, but she didn't know the specifics.
But revenge is the best policy, and if it really is those people, she will definitely support them.
After all, the two made it clear when they formed an alliance that they had enemies, and while they could help each other, they could not interfere with each other.
Wei Sanwa brought almost his entire group, along with five mutated dogs.
The group, in a grand procession, headed towards the place where the smoke was rising.
Meanwhile, Brother Xin was incredibly patient. It seemed that he found more enjoyment in tormenting the people underground than in retrieving the crystal cores.
He enjoys watching people beg for mercy in their dying moments.
Underground, Tan Jingrui and his group, mostly elderly, were not moving quickly, which delayed them considerably.
When they reached the other exit, it had already been set on fire.
We rushed to the other exit, but we were still a step too late.
Seeing that all the exits were blocked by the fire, Tan Jingrui knew that he had no choice but to charge forward.
He gathered all the young people together to discuss countermeasures.
There were 302 people in total. Those selected to participate in the battle, including all the eleven- or twelve-year-old children and young women, totaled less than fifty…
The number forty-eight seemed to mock the futile efforts they were currently undertaking.
Smoke had filled every corner of the passageway, and the elderly began to cough uncontrollably.
Fortunately, when they left the encampment, Tan Jingrui distributed all the remaining water to everyone and had them use the wet strips of cloth as masks to cover their noses.
A middle-aged man, who used to work at the hospital, reminded Tan Jingrui based on everyone's current reaction.
"Everyone can hold on for a maximum of ten minutes."
Tan Jingrui's dark eyes were deep. He nodded and waved to the ten people he had chosen behind him. "Let's go."
Each of them carried a large bucket of mineral water, braving thick smoke and flames, and rushed towards the cave entrance.
They had no water-based ability users, so they could only try their luck with the last of their mineral water.
If they can put out the fire, they can rush up again. As long as they can rush up, they still have a chance.
Fortunately, the fire was actually put out.
Forty-eight people, risking being burned and scalded, rushed out in a rush. In the end, they fought desperately and crawled out.
