Li Xin'er wore her hair in a low ponytail, a black baseball cap, and a black cotton mask as she quietly slipped out of the hotel.
It was past 10 p.m., and there were still quite a few pedestrians and vehicles outside. Li Xin'er drove her only Jeep SUV, which she had left outside the space, toward the port warehouse.
Perhaps because it wasn't too late, you could still see busy workers at the port from a distance.
The tall mechanical crane boom creaked as it unloaded giant containers from the cargo ship.
Following the navigation, Li Xin'er headed towards the entrance. When she saw the security guards and the car gate at the main gate, she knew she had made a mistake.
She assumed this kind of port was open, but who would have thought...
However, since they were already almost at the door, it would seem even stranger to walk there now, so she decided to go forward and give it a try.
I put the mask I had just taken off in the car back on, turned towards the door and entered. As expected, the gate did not let me through.
A head popped out of the security booth and shouted at her.
"No information has been entered. Do you have a pass?"
Li Xin'er lowered the car window and replied:
"No, I'm here to find someone."
The security guard waved his hands repeatedly.
"That won't work. Everyone's off work at this hour. Outside vehicles without a pass aren't allowed in. If you want to get in, you'll have to have your friend come out and pick you up."
Li Xin'er was in a hurry, and since she couldn't get in, she didn't linger any longer and nodded.
"Okay, I'll ask him."
Reverse the vehicle and leave directly.
The area enclosed by this harbor is quite large, forming a semi-circle. Li Xin'er took a detour and found a secluded spot without any surveillance cameras to pull over.
He took out his computer, performed a series of operations, hacked into the port's surveillance system, and started looping the previous twenty minutes of footage.
The car was difficult to get in, but the walls couldn't stop her. She put the car into her spatial storage and found a suitable corner.
He took a few steps back, sprinted forward, used the momentum to push off, hooked onto the top, and like a swallow, leaped over the wall and landed.
The movements were fluid and effortless.
Li Xin'er dusted off her hands and swaggered toward the warehouse area.
The warehouse is some distance from the port ahead, separated by countless large containers.
From the initial rental to the subsequent warehousing of goods, everything here was handled entirely by the agent. She herself had never been here before. She found the warehouse number according to the address the agent had given her.
As she drew closer, Li Xin'er gradually lightened her steps, concealing her figure in the darkness.
A pair of dark eyes flashed with a shadowy light, sending chills down one's spine.
Based on the distance, that was her warehouse, but there were more than a dozen breathing sounds coming from the doorway.
There were people working overtime to unload cargo in the port area, but the warehouse area was much quieter. She hadn't seen a single person the way here.
The agent said on the phone yesterday that there was no one at the warehouse, and she could just call him when she needed to check the inventory.
So who are these people?
Li Xin'er immediately thought of Fu Xihan.
Since Fu Xihan had investigated her, he had a strong 'motive' and sent people to keep an eye on her warehouse.
Li Xin'er raised her hand and, in the dim light, glanced at the watch on her wrist: 10:42.
Doomsday Countdown: 1 hour 18 minutes
Time was of the essence, so she quietly moved toward the back of the warehouse.
The warehouse only had one large gate at the front, and those who were monitoring it were naturally all stationed at the gate.
Fortunately, she didn't need to go inside to collect all the supplies from the warehouse.
However, she was really feeling resentful. Coming to her own warehouse felt like doing something wrong, and Li Xin'er added another mark against Fu Xihan in her mind.
Okay, the sentiment of the ten million check is gone. Next time we meet, I'll make him pay!
Li Xin'er touched the warehouse wall, spreading her soul power as she headed towards the interior of the warehouse.
With her experience in collecting supplies from Country R, and the constant tempering from the spiritual spring water, her soul power had grown considerably stronger, making it even easier for her to collect them.
Collect, collect, collect!
They're all hers!
The agent is quite reliable; each area has signs and is clearly planned.
Grains, oils, seasonings, snacks, beverages, tea, and alcohol, furniture and household goods, beauty and skincare products, baby and maternity products, toys, small appliances, personal care products, books and stationery, pet supplies...
At first, Li Xin'er was curious and looked around, but later she became numb to it and just mechanically collected everything!
She's a heartless 'harvesting machine'~
After finishing here, I turned to the cold storage next door, where all kinds of frozen products were being collected!
The warehouse was quickly cleared out; since we were already there, we couldn't waste anything else...
She visited every warehouse in the area, taking everything without even looking at what was inside.
11:17.
There was still time, and Li Xin'er was eyeing those shipping containers.
Collect, collect, collect!
If someone were looking down from a high vantage point, they would immediately notice that the container, except for the outer ring, is completely empty inside, as if the container had enclosed an open space.
If there weren't still people on the cruise ship, she really would have liked to take over the big cruise ship by the sea!
But it's okay, that big guy is there, he can't run away anytime soon, we can come back in a few days.
And so, Li Xin'er fared better than the locusts that had passed through, and returned by the same route with a full harvest.
With only 11 minutes left in the doomsday countdown, Li Xin'er rushed back to her hotel room just in time.
After tidying up briefly, I took out a bottle of good red wine from my storage space, leisurely poured myself a glass, sat on the sofa by the window, stared at the sky outside, and waited for the end of the world to come.
At this time, there were still many live streams online about the apocalypse, and major websites became very popular.
"The countdown is about to end. Are you ready to face the apocalypse?"
"Come on! Let the storm rage on, for finally we can be free!"
