Gavin returned the same sneer, "Ha."
“164 people, I don’t have enough awakening potions.” Carl suddenly turned back to business.
Gavin's pupils dilated slightly. "An awakening potion?!"
He wondered if he had misheard. "Wasn't it the crystal core that Sister Xin processed?"
Carl shook his head. "No, it's the upgraded version that Sister Xin developed, the superpower awakening potion. It's easier to absorb. Looking at those awakened ones, they don't seem to be in as much pain as we were before."
As he spoke, he couldn't help but turn his head to look at Gavin, "You probably couldn't resist during your time in Y country, could you?"
He knew Gavin's character all too well. Back in China, with Sister Xin by his side, Gavin could still put on an act. But once he came back, his true colors would definitely show. There was no way he wouldn't be researching the matter of awakening superpowers through crystal cores.
Gavin turned away from Carl's gaze and said dismissively, "Those useless people from the Saiaka Association should be put to good use, shouldn't they?"
Carl had no objection to this; he believed Gavin wouldn't harm innocent ordinary people. "And what happened?"
"The initial reaction was somewhat similar to our awakening, but in the end, we all turned into zombies. I've also tried it with superhumans. Apart from lasting longer and the mutated zombies being of a higher level, there's not much difference."
Gavin also tried to test the toxins in the crystal nucleus, but there were too many elements, and many of them were completely unidentifiable, making it impossible to purify them through physical means.
Carl, rarely seeing Gavin stumble in his field, revealed a smug smile, stood up, and patted Gavin on the shoulder.
"Your sister Xin is still your sister Xin."
