When he made this invitation, no one else reacted, seemingly acknowledging his authority.
Wu Rui observed all of this without making a sound, and began to make his own plans.
Ye Guangyu suddenly spoke up:
I've seen you before!
His tone remained arrogant and condescending, carrying an air of arrogance.
He had seen this person before at a banquet in this hotel when he came to Haishi with his father.
This guy, with his big, ugly face, kept getting closer to his dad, bowing and scraping as if he wanted to ask for a project.
At the time, this person flattered him, saying he was good-looking and capable. He had a big mouth that talked non-stop, and his words were like javelins, making him feel nauseous. He remembered it vividly.
Hearing him say that, Du Shi took a closer look and actually recognized it, which surprised him.
"You...you are the young master of the Ye family?"
What a coincidence, this young master is actually here. I wonder if Ye Ming is here?
Ye Guangyu raised his chin and said disdainfully:
"Otherwise what? If I'm not you, then who are you?"
Recognizing that this person was Xiao Luoluo, who was trying to beg his father, Ye Guangyu felt that he had succeeded again.
He swaggered over and ordered people around without any politeness:
"Hurry up and get me some food, I'm starving."
An awkward silence fell over the restaurant.
Everyone stared at him like he was an idiot. What kind of time is this to be dreaming of being a landlord?
Wu Rui looked apologetically at everyone, as if he had no other choice.
Ali followed Ye Guangyu with a blank expression, as he was used to it; it had nothing to do with him.
Du Shi didn't show any anger, but his eyes were scanning Wu Rui and Ali, as if he was assessing something.
Ye Guangyu also realized something was wrong, and, trying to save face, turned around and glared at Ali.
"What are you still standing there for? Didn't you hear me? I'm hungry."
Ali remained expressionless, nodded, and his rough voice was somewhat hoarse.
"Yes, young master."
Ignoring the looks and attitudes of others, he walked straight toward where the food was displayed.
Du Shi noticed something amiss in his actions, and after sitting down as if nothing was wrong, he chuckled and probed:
"This guy doesn't seem to be feeling well?"
This time, Wu Rui answered before Ye Guangyu could.
"I just have a sore throat from the heat, it's nothing serious. Ali used to be a world boxing champion, he's in great shape, he just can't handle spicy food, haha."
Ye Guangyu glanced at Wu Rui, puzzled. "You're really something, calling a fever 'internal heat' instead of a fever," he thought. But then he realized it wouldn't affect him, so he didn't say anything.
When the others heard that he was a boxer, they looked at Ali differently.
Du Shi narrowed his eyes, unsure whether he believed it or not, and feigned concern as he sighed:
"It's good that you're alright. In this situation, you must take good care of yourself. Getting sick can be a real hassle."
After Wu Rui sat down, he casually struck up a conversation.
"Who can argue with that? We don't know what's going on outside."
Du Shi shook his head with a bad expression and took the initiative to introduce the situation of the dozen or so people in his group.
