Chapter 54 The warehouse was emptied.

On the winding road by the sea, a line of four Hummer SUVs sped toward the port.

In the back seat of the middle car, Fu Xihan, dressed in a suit and tie with his white shirt buttoned up perfectly, crossed his legs, his clear black and white eyes staring calmly out the window.

If it weren't for the bodyguards who were all fully armed, holding guns and keeping a close watch on their surroundings, you wouldn't see any trace of the apocalypse in Fu Xihan.

Without the slightest hesitation, the lead vehicle broke through the barrier, and the convoy entered the port, heading directly towards Li Xin'er's warehouse.

During the journey, they encountered a few zombies that came after hearing the noise, but before they could get close, the bodyguards swiftly and decisively shot them down, without delaying the process at all.

The passenger in the lead car was giving directions to the driver.

"Those are the two innermost warehouses; we can park under the containers."

"good."

The car stopped, and the one Fu Xihan was in was facing the main entrance. Inside, Fu Xihan had his hands folded on his knees, showing no intention of getting out.

He turned his head to look at the tightly closed warehouse door and gave a calm instruction to Assistant Li in the passenger seat.

"Pry the door open."

"Yes, Mr. Fu."

Assistant Li got out of the car and instructed the bodyguards, who were not on guard duty, to get to work.

It didn't take much effort to pry open the warehouse door. The door was pushed open by two bodyguards, revealing a completely empty warehouse.

It was empty and very clean, without even a single shelf.

Assistant Li looked surprised. Wasn't the warehouse already full?

"this···"

The person who had been giving directions in the passenger seat of the lead car was also quite frightened by the situation before him; even in the dead of winter, beads of sweat began to appear on his forehead.

After he came to his senses, he jogged toward Fu Xihan's car, his legs trembling and weak, as if he might kneel down at any moment.

The bodyguards standing outside Fu Xihan's car kept a close eye on his movements, afraid that he might do something that would harm his boss.

The man stood a certain distance from the car, bowing humbly, anxiously explaining to Fu Xihan inside the car.

“Mr. Fu, when we were keeping an eye on things, no one came to pick up the goods. You can believe me, I’m not lying to you.”

After receiving the task, they dared not be careless. They watched as all the goods were put into the warehouse, and then the people from the agency locked the door and left. The door was never opened again, let alone anyone coming to pick up the goods.

Fu Xihan did not respond, his eyes lowered in thought, his expression inscrutable.

The man suddenly remembered something and quickly added:

"Mr. Fu, could it be that while I was away, they sent someone to take it away?"

After he woke up from his coma, several of the people with him had turned into zombies, but at that time no one knew they were zombies. This led to the few survivors being bitten to death unexpectedly.

He escaped death because he ran fast.

Luckily, he was so frightened by the scene that he ran outside like a madman, and he ran faster and faster, like a whirlwind.

He sensed something was wrong at that moment, so he decided to rush back to report to President Fu.

Assistant Li then came over and stood respectfully outside the car to report.

"Mr. Fu, the cold storage in the back is also empty."

Fu Xihan, who had been deep in thought inside the car, suddenly brightened his deep eyes. He then got out of the car, stopped, glanced at the warehouse, and gave the order:

"Go and check out all the surrounding warehouses."

After receiving the order, Assistant Gao quickly led his men to get to work.

The man who had led the way was now filled with fear; he hadn't kept an eye on the goods and didn't know how Fu Xihan would deal with him.

As he pondered this, he mustered his courage and looked around, hoping to find out why the goods were missing and atone for his sins.

Suddenly I noticed that the area behind the container looked completely empty.

Sensing something was wrong and wanting to see more clearly, I unconsciously took a few more steps in that direction.

The other bodyguards, seeing him about to move, were about to stop him when Fu Xihan raised his hand.

"Let him take a look."

With Fu Xihan's permission, the person leading the way confidently walked forward. Only after reaching the containers did they discover that all the containers that had been stacked there were gone!

When they came to guard the warehouse, they carefully inspected the surroundings. It used to be filled with shipping containers, and he couldn't be mistaken.

While chatting with the port's patrolling security guards, the guard mentioned that these containers were going to be loaded onto a ship and shipped overseas next month.

He excitedly reported this discovery.

"Mr. Fu, all the containers inside are gone!"

Fu Xihan raised an eyebrow in surprise when he saw that he had actually made a discovery, and walked over.

These shipping containers were stacked like a fence, forming a circle around the outside and enclosing an open space in the middle.

"What's gone?"

The man fawned over him, his tone still barely concealing his excitement.

"Mr. Fu, this place used to be full of shipping containers, stacked four or five layers high, but now the ones inside are all gone! The ones outside are still here."

That's really strange!

Upon hearing this, a glint of cunning flashed in Fu Xihan's eyes. He glanced up at the crane boom, which was some distance away, and said in a nonchalant tone:

"It's possible that it was just taken away by someone."

The man shook his head, his tone certain.

"No, no, that can't be. The security guards here told me that all the goods in this area belong to a foreign boss and are going to be shipped next month."

The boss insisted that all goods be packed together, so the port, in order to handle this order, worked overtime to move other individual shipments to Zone B, specifically freeing up this space.

Because they had to make room for the boss, the port staff worked overtime for several days, and the security guard complained a lot about it in front of him.

Upon hearing this, Fu Xihan smiled with satisfaction, looked away without looking again, and turned to leave.
