Carl glanced at the pile of something on the ground...
With a bad feeling in his heart, the deeper Li Xin'er's smile became, the more uneasy he felt.
However, he still walked over to Li Xin'er and asked politely:
What do you need me to do?
Li Xin'er took out a pair of unopened plastic gloves from her spatial storage, handed them to him, and pointed to the crystal core, which was already mostly exposed.
"Pick this out."
Carl took the gloves, looking pale and reluctant, but he nodded anyway.
He has an extremely severe case of mysophobia, a fact that few people seem to know. Getting him to take something from those brains is far more painful than cutting him twice.
Carl crouched down, placed the curved blade, which he hadn't had time to wipe clean, within easy reach of his feet, quickly put on gloves, and picked up the crystal core.
He held the crystal core loosely, his arm outstretched as if afraid it would get too close, trying his best to avoid sounding disdainful.
"Then... what should we do?"
Li Xin'er had already taken out a bottle of water and gestured for him to move to a cleaner spot.
"Come over and wash up."
She twisted open the bottle to pour water and let Carl rinse it.
She thought to herself, "If there were a tap right now, she wouldn't have to go through all this trouble."
Having a water-based ability user is really great.
At that moment, Li Feng, who was busy washing dishes at the orphanage, suddenly sneezed loudly.
The three dogs, Ersha and Wenwen, watched the two of them quietly, filled with curiosity and confusion.
The crystal nucleus was cleaned and gradually revealed its true form.
Carl was astonished and asked in confusion:
"What's this?"
This thing looks a lot like white crystal, but it's not very pure; it's a bit grayish. It's rhomboid and polygonal, and it looks quite gorgeous in the sunlight.
If you didn't tell me, you would never guess that this thing grew out of a zombie's head.
Li Xin'er wrapped the crystal core in a tissue, took it in her hand, and examined it carefully.
"This is a crystal core."
Carl repeated her words, "Crystal core?"
Li Xin'er smiled slightly, nodded in a good mood, and said half-jokingly:
"Well, I'll tell you once I figure out how it's useful."
Just now, after obtaining the crystal core, she specifically observed the changes in the spatial ridge tower.
As she expected, the points redemption table appeared on the points panel on the second floor.
Level 1 crystal nucleus – 10 points
Level 2 Crystal Core - 100 points
Level 3 Crystal Core - 1000 Points
···
Following this logic, Li Xin'er considered the prices in the supermarket on the second floor. A bottle of mineral water cost one point, so these level 1 crystal cores were really worthless.
However, the sheer number of them is overwhelming...
Li Xin'er placed the crystal core in her spatial storage and did not exchange it at the Root Tower for the time being.
Carl knew she was hiding something, but he didn't press her for details. He took off his gloves, found a cloth in the nearby animal enclosure, and carefully wiped his scimitar.
Li Xin'er took out two bottles of water from her spatial storage and handed them to Carl and Wenwen respectively.
She took out a cup filled with spiritual spring water and took a sip. The two idiots and Fighter next to her, who had drunk spiritual spring water in the space, stared at her with great envy, as if they could smell it from afar.
Even the newly joined white tiger twitched its nose and involuntarily moved closer to Li Xin'er.
The three of them were all a little dirty from the fight, and Li Xin'er was extremely disgusted by them.
"Stop! Get away from me! Don't come any closer!"
The three of them stood obediently in place, but she looked very aggrieved.
Brother, you can't share the wealth anymore, huh?
Li Xin'er couldn't stand it any longer, so she released an iron basin filled with water from her spatial storage.
"Come and drink."
The two idiots ran fast alongside the fighter jets, drinking merrily.
The white tiger sniffed lightly, first glancing at the cup in Li Xin'er's hand, and finally reluctantly approaching the basin.
Li Xin'er saw its little expression and couldn't help but find it funny.
The spiritual spring water was milky white, and the difference was obvious when it wasn't undiluted. Most importantly, the Great White Tiger had never drunk spiritual spring water before; this was its first time...
The thought of the fighter jets and the scene of Ersha discharging sewage made Li Xin'er feel a chill.
So she filled the basin with water from the spatial river, only adding a little bit of spiritual spring water. It didn't have that effect, but it could satisfy her craving. Carl couldn't tell the difference.
After wiping the knife, Carl walked over to Li Xin'er while wringing out a bottle of mineral water and asked:
Should we go further in?
After asking the question, he tilted his head back and took a big gulp of water, his prominent, sexy Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
He knew that Li Xin'er had come here to find mutated beasts, and now that she had the white tiger, he wondered what Li Xin'er's plans were.
Li Xin'er nodded without hesitation. Since there was already a level-one crystal core, perhaps they could find more today.
"Go ahead, why wouldn't you go?"
After Ersha and the others finished drinking their water, they set off again.
Along the way, the big white tiger had seamlessly integrated into the group, running fast ahead alongside Ersha and Fighter Jet.
Upon seeing the scattered zombie beasts, they dealt with them swiftly without Li Xin'er needing to say a word.
The zoo houses different species of animals in separate areas, and for safety reasons, many areas are enclosed.
Those who escaped for various reasons have been mostly cleared out by Ersha and the others; now only some remain trapped in the captive area.
She quickly scanned the area, not bothering to even glance at the zombie beasts that were trapped and unable to escape, as long as they weren't level 1.
