Chapter 145 Encountering an Unknown Monster

The video shows a massive, temple-like structure situated between two mountains. Based on the surrounding mountains, the temple appears to be at least 500 meters high and approximately two kilometers long and wide.

Judging from the chaos in the video and the tone of voice of the person filming, the building appeared suddenly.

After watching the video, Yuan Chu asked, "Do you know where this online friend of yours is from?"

Tian Tian nodded and said, "She mentioned during our casual conversation that she's from Shacheng and is currently the second-in-command at a small base there."

A day passed in the blink of an eye, and Yuan Chuyi received an invitation from Elder Liu to go to the Guangcheng base.

As soon as Yuan Chu entered the door, he saw that Old Liu looked very worried. "Old Liu, what's wrong? You look so worried."

Elder Liu gestured for Yuan Chuyi to sit down and speak, "I wonder what Sect Leader Yuan thinks about what happened yesterday."

Yuan Chuyi's heart skipped a beat. Did Old Liu know that yesterday's events were related to me? Otherwise, why would he have called me over so early this morning?

He shook his head, feigning ignorance, and said, "Old Liu, are you referring to the void rift in the sky yesterday? If you mean it, I have no opinion. We'll deal with whatever comes our way."

Old Liu sighed and said, "Sect Leader Yuan has a kind heart. I wonder if what I'm about to say will move you."

As Liu Laoqi walked over, he continued, "I spoke with Kyoto on the phone last night. They used their existing technology to find out that hundreds of strange buildings suddenly appeared on Blue Star just yesterday."

And there just happens to be such a building near Kyoto. Just last night, Kyoto launched eight missiles at that building, intending to strike first.

To their surprise, the missile initially functioned normally, but in the terminal phase, it seemed to lose its bearings and plummeted to the ground.

Hearing this, Bi Yuanchu asked with slightly more interest, "Why is this happening? Could there be a problem with the missile itself?"

Old Liu laughed and said, "How could that be? Our country's missiles are all independently developed, and there were people who went to check them afterward. There was absolutely no problem with the missiles."

However, after discussions among numerous experts, a conclusion was reached that there was some unknown magnetic field variation around the building, making an explosion in its vicinity impossible.

Upon hearing the word "expert," Yuan Chu curled his lip and said, "Expert, is it the 'brick' in 'brick'?"

Old Liu, sensing the sarcasm in Yuan Chuyi's words, said, "I know that our country has had some shortcomings in the past, which has led to the term 'expert' becoming a derogatory term. However, Sect Master Yuan doesn't need to deny their professionalism."

An hour later, Yuan Chuyi returned to Changshou Mountain and said to the women, "I'm going to check out those mysterious buildings. You guys continue recruiting people on Changshou Mountain."

"Honey, I'll go with you." Tang Yan had just finished speaking when Zheng Shuang and Chen Wei looked at Yuan Chu and said, "We want to go too."

Yuan Chuyi glared at Tang Yan and continued, "If you all go, who will take people in?"

Besides, I'm just checking things out; it would be more convenient for me to go myself.

Seeing Yuan Chuyi's determined eyes, the girls knew that no matter what they said, Yuan Chuyi wouldn't take them. So they stopped insisting, hugged Yuan Chuyi, told her to be careful on her way, and then reluctantly left the room.

High in the sky, Yuan Chuyi examined the map in his mind. This map wasn't some pre-apocalyptic German map; it showed all sorts of streets.

The map in his mind was like a map in a game; he could only see survivors, zombies, and mutated beasts in a certain area.

The white dots on the map represent survivors, the green dots represent zombies and mutated beasts, and the flashing red dots represent unknown buildings.

Yuan Chuyi saw that the closest point to him was a red dot of light a few hundred kilometers away. He rode on the five-colored golden dragon and headed straight for the red dot in his mind.

A dozen minutes later, Yuan Chuyi watched as the huge oval-shaped building in the wilderness rushed straight down.

In front of the oval building, Yuan Chuyi took out a pistol from his spatial storage and fired it repeatedly into the sky.

Hearing the empty sound of the gunshot, Yuan Chuyi smiled wryly and put the pistol back into his spatial storage, then began to walk around the mysterious building.

A few minutes later, he paused to consider what looked like an entrance, and after a moment, he stepped inside.

He looked at the giant, cocoon-shaped objects hanging upside down in the space entwined with vines and felt a strange sense of familiarity.

He teleported to the vine, trying to get a closer look at what was wrapped in the transparent membrane. Just as his face drew near, he saw an eye with a rat-like face suddenly open.

A pair of eyes glowing red met Yuan Chu's gaze.

Yuan Chu felt a cold sweat break out on his body and instinctively took a step back.

This retreat had serious consequences; he may have forgotten that he was standing on vines in mid-air. He lost his footing and crashed into a transparent cicada pupa below.

Realizing what was happening, Yuan Chuyi quickly adjusted his body and landed heavily on the ground. At the same time, the transparent cicada pupa that he hit also fell to the ground with a thud, one after the other.

The cicada pupa burst open on the ground like an egg falling from a great height, but unlike the others, this transparent pupa was surrounded by disgusting red slime.

And indeed, standing in the middle was a 1.5-meter-tall monster with a rat's head.

The monster seemed to have just woken up. After looking around, it spotted Yuan Chuyi and suddenly glared at her with a pair of red eyes the size of an infant's fist and a mouth full of huge teeth, roaring as it ran towards Yuan Chuyi.

Yuan Chuyi first took a few steps back, then casually unleashed a fire wall skill at the monster.

Just as the attack was about to hit, Yuan Chuyi's pupils contracted. The person! No, the monster—how did it suddenly disappear?

Just as Yuan Chuyi was wondering where the monster had gone, this small but strange monster charged at him again from his right.

Unfortunately, the fire wall skill that was just cast destroyed three transparent cocoons in a row.

Seeing that three more monsters had joined the battle, Yuan Chu only hesitated for a second before running back in the direction he had come from.

Looking back at the blue sky and white clouds, Yuan Chuyi saw that the four monsters were still chasing after him.

He casually pulled out the Staff of Judgment from his spatial storage and charged towards the pursuing monsters. He raised his weapon, ready to deliver a head-on blow to the monster in front of him.

As Yuan Chuyi looked at the face of the monster at the front, he suddenly felt as if it was showing a disdainful smile, and then it disappeared.

This time, Yuan Chuyi, who was prepared, suddenly turned around and unleashed a bolt of purple lightning at a certain spot behind her.

With a hoarse scream, the rat-faced monster turned into a pool of blood.

Just as Yuan Chuyi turned around, preparing to attack the remaining monsters...

A dizzying screeching sound came from the oval-shaped building.
