Chapter 15 Gang 2

The monkeys seemed to have a precise tracking system; wherever they went, the monkeys would appear, making one suspect that there was a mole within the organization.

The two groups looked at each other. "We've met again. Same as usual!"

"Leave your belongings and you can leave."

Thinking of her children at home, so hungry their legs were weak and they didn't even have the strength to speak, she hardened her heart and said, "We found these things ourselves. If you want them, go find them yourself."

"Hey, getting angry, huh? You want to taste the power of a fist, don't you!" the monkey said, looking at the group that had suddenly become tough.

The group saw that the monkeys were like flies fixated on meat, impossible to shoo away. They couldn't just give them supplies every time!

So the crowd retorted, "It all comes down to who has the stronger fist."

Uncle Zhang stopped everyone and said, "Monkey, you probably wouldn't even look at what we have. Let me tell you the truth! The real treasure is yet to come."

"If you don't believe me, send someone over to check it out now."

The person who returned whispered in the monkey's ear, "There really are people here, and there's a huge pile of supplies on the ground."

The monkey looked at Uncle Zhang and said, "I'll let you off this time, but next time be more proactive and stop talking nonsense." After saying that, it walked away cursing.

Jiang Yao has almost finished looting the supplies, but there are a lot of things, so she needs to think of a way to take them back.

Xiao Mu wanted to find a place to store the items first, and then everyone could come and take them back tomorrow.

Although I brought a lot of supplies with me when I came to Shichang Village, I couldn't just openly stay out looking for supplies and indirectly tell everyone that I have food and they should come and rob me!

Just then, a monkey's shout came from behind them: "Hey, here it is! You've been looking for me!"

Jiang Yao looked at the short man in front of her, with triangular eyes and a forced, insincere smile; it must be the monkey. But how did he know we were here?

"Thank you both for your hard work. I'll take these things with me now."

Jiang Yao's eyes flashed coldly. She quickly drew her sword, swung it at the newcomer, and simultaneously took two steps back. "You'll have to see if you have the luck to take it."

"Ah—!!" The person screamed in agony as a long gash was slashed across his chest.

Jiang Yao's knife is as sharp as mud; a single, light cut can tear flesh from the skin, and even if you're dressed in thick clothes, it will still make you bleed profusely.

Everyone present was shocked. They had only been looting supplies and were not prepared to kill anyone. Some of them took a step back in fear.

Seeing that Jiang Yao, though just a woman, was ruthless, the monkey roared, "You bitch, are you looking for death!"

"Men, everyone, grab this woman and this man and hold them down. I'm going to show this woman who's the boss here."

Jiang Yao looked at the thugs and said, "Then let's see if my knife is faster, or if you guys are faster." After saying that, she looked at everyone.

Everyone was somewhat afraid, fearing that they would be disemboweled like the previous person.

Xiao Mu slowly drew his sidearm, and when he pointed it at the crowd, they all recoiled in fear. The monkey said, "Fine, I'll remember you today."

"Damn it, that old bastard Zhang Youquan (Uncle Zhang) is sending me here to die! When you see him, beat him to death, you dog."

Jiang Yao ignored the monkey's grumbling, but frowned when she heard Uncle Zhang's name.

Xiao Mu frowned after hearing this, and after a moment of thought, said, "We should still be careful. After all, if Monkey from the Snow Edge Alliance gets injured, the other members won't just stand by and do nothing." Jiang Yao, after seeing the gun, was wondering how to ask him where he got it, since using a knife in close combat is somewhat dangerous.

After quickly hiding the supplies, the two strolled back slowly.

On the way, we encountered several people who had not found any supplies. Their eyes lit up when they saw the supplies, and they were ready to rush up and grab them at any moment.

When they saw the blood on the knife in Jiang Yao's hand, they dared not make any rash moves, fearing that they would be the next ones to be taken down.

When Jiang Yao got home, she turned on the electric heater, stretched her hands and feet out to warm them, and then took out some brown sugar ginger water from her spatial storage to drink while waiting for her body to warm up.

Night had just fallen when someone started banging on Uncle Zhang's door. Uncle Zhang went out and saw some stones on the ground, realizing it was just a warning. It seemed Monkey and his gang hadn't gotten anything out of Jiang Yao.

Before dawn, Jiang Yao, Xiao Mu, and others went to the school dormitory to retrieve the supplies they had searched for the day before.

On the way back, they encountered Erpang acting suspiciously at the village entrance. Everyone took the supplies and took a detour home, while the old fox He Rui went up to investigate.

"Hey, isn't this Erpang? What are you doing here?"

"Here, brother." He said, handing over a cigarette.

You know, after such a long period of extreme cold, cigarettes, such a rare commodity, are becoming increasingly scarce. Erpang hesitated, looking at the cigarette offered to him, wondering whether to take it or not.

"Take it! Don't let anyone see it. This is all I have. If you don't want it, I'll keep it for myself."

Erpang took the cigarette, took a deep drag, and said, "Awesome, bro, why are you out so early?" It had been so long since he'd touched this stuff.

He Rui sighed and said, "These things are rare these days. I just came out to smoke them, took a stroll around, and went back." After saying that, he looked Erpang up and down and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Erpang looked at him and said, "Brother, if I said I was going to kill someone, would you believe me?" Then he stared intently at He Rui.

"You killed someone? Forget it! Don't think about things that aren't your business. The order is a bit chaotic right now, but there are still officials." After saying that, he stubbed out his cigarette and turned to leave.

During the night, some other noises came from Uncle Zhang's house. A chicken head was hanging on the door. Uncle Zhang took it down because he was afraid that his family would be frightened. Soon after, chicken blood was splattered on the wall. Later, it got worse and worse.
