Jiang Yao thought of the monkey she encountered in the school dormitory last time, lowered her head and pondered for a while before saying, "You mean, last time the monkey intercepted my supplies, it was Uncle Zhang who betrayed me."
"And I'll kindly tell you that no one has touched the school's supplies yet, huh..." Jiang Yao looked at everyone disdainfully.
Villager: What? You gave out the address and then betrayed them?
When Ye Dachun and the others heard Jiang Yao say this, their faces turned red with embarrassment, and they dared not look at Jiang Yao.
Aunt Zhang cried out to Sang Ze, "Aren't you a policeman?"
"Go ahead and catch her!" he said, and began to fight and shove Sang Ze.
Everyone looked at Sangze to see how he would handle the situation.
When Shen Zhiyao (Shen Zhijie) heard about this, she arrived just as everyone was questioning Sang Ze. She shouted, "So what if he's a policeman? You only think of the police when you have problems. Why don't you think of the police when you have food and drink? Get out of here, get out of here!"
Jiang Yao then said, "When I saw Uncle Zhang, he already showed no signs of life. You can see that his blood was frozen. This means he had been dead for some time."
Aunt Zhang glared at Jiang Yao resentfully and said, "Fine! I'll remember you." Then she left unwillingly.
A portly man on the hillside, seeing that no one was around, breathed a heavy sigh of relief and left.
In her previous life, Jiang Yao endured that agonizing period alone. Now, things seem different from her past life. It's probably because she met Xiao Mu and Shen Zhijie (Shen Zhiyao). Being with them gives her a sense of family. But in this world, even family members can be betrayed.
Everyone has been very busy these past few days. After everyone leaves the house, Jiang Yao can hear cursing and banging on the door. She knows it's Aunt Zhang causing trouble. Sometimes, when others hear the cursing, they'll say, "Serves him right, murderer."
With no other option, Jiang Yao had to adjust her schedule. After dinner, she would wait outside Erpang's house, because He Rui and Erpang's conversation was still echoing in her ears.
After only three days of waiting at Erpang's house, Jiang Yao saw someone climb over the wall at night to look for Erpang. The figure looked familiar, and after listening to the voice, Jiang Yao confirmed it was Monkey. But how did Erpang end up with Monkey?
Now she can only wait until the monkey leaves before questioning Erpang.
As dawn approached, the monkey left drunk. Jiang Yao then kicked open Erpang's door, held a knife to Erpang's neck, and said, "You killed Uncle Zhang, didn't you?"
Erpang was instantly sobered up and stammered, "Miss Jiang, spare my life!"
“I was forced into it! The monkey found me and said he would kill Uncle Zhang and frame you. The monkey got revenge for Uncle Zhang deceiving him and almost killing him, and I also got revenge for the time you stabbed me.”
"I was out of my mind! Please spare me, heroine!" Erpang cried and begged for mercy. Erpang's cries alerted the neighbors, who were all furious after hearing the truth.
Aunt Zhang smacked and bit Erpang, yelling, "You heartless bastard, murderer!"
Everyone just watched, and no one stepped forward to break up the fight. Soon, Erpang's face was a mess.
It seems that Erpang's face is truly ruined from now on.
Aunt Zhang felt very guilty after realizing she had wronged Jiang Yao. She apologized to Jiang Yao in front of everyone and brought her a free-range chicken the next day. You should know that Aunt Zhang treasures her free-range chicken.
When Jiang Yao returned home in the morning, He Rui opened the door and said, "You're back! Looks like things are resolved."
After spending several nights squatting in the corner, Jiang Yao was exhausted. She went back to her room, washed up, and went to sleep.
When Xiao Mu and the others returned, Jiang Yao wasn't home. Instead, she had gone to West Village, the address they had learned from Fatty. Fatty explained that the people of West Village were the same village that had cheated Old Man Zhang out of his grain before. They had now formed the Snow Alliance and were no longer just stealing and cheating; they were openly robbing supplies.
It was late at night when Jiang Yao arrived at Xicun. Following the address given to her by Erpang, she went to a house where she could hear shouts of drinking and eating meat, as well as women's screams and pleas for mercy.
Two snaps followed, then the sound subsided.
Jiang Yao walked to the window and looked through the crack. She saw a woman in her thirties being pinned to the bed by two men who were tearing at her clothes. One man's hand covered her mouth, while another pair of disgusting hands tore at her pants. The woman was trembling and crying.
Seeing that the woman was about to scream again, the villain Zhang Cheng slapped her several more times, saying viciously, "If you scream again, I'll hit you again."
When it was almost time, Jiang Yao picked up her sword, put on her night vision goggles, and gently pushed open the door. She saw that the three men, including Monkey, were already drunk and unconscious. She covered the mouth and nose of one of them, and with a light slit in his neck, blood flowed freely.
The person next to her seemed to be waking up. Without hesitation, Jiang Yao plunged her knife into his back. The scream startled the monkey, who instinctively tried to run away upon seeing the two corpses beside him. Jiang Yao made a graceful turn and used her sword to stop the monkey. Who would have thought that he couldn't dodge in time and crashed into the sword, his neck snapping with a crack.
Upon entering the inner room, Jiang Yao kicked open the door and, before Zhang Cheng and his companion could react, swiftly slit one of their throats with a knife. Seeing his companion killed, Zhang Cheng drew a short knife from his side, attempting to stab Jiang Yao, but missed. Jiang Yao dodged to the side and struck again, ending Zhang Cheng's life. Looking at the woman on the bed, she saw she was lifeless. She covered her with a blanket, turned, and left.
Jiang Yao stored the household supplies in her spatial storage and used the stove to ignite various corners of the house. Soon, the entire house was engulfed in flames, and by the time everyone noticed, it was too late. Everyone assumed that Monkey and the others had drunk too much and started the fire.
The Snowfall Alliance decided to investigate the matter, as the sudden death of five people was highly suspicious. This incident was discussed for some time at the time.
