Seeing that the staff had misunderstood, Jiang Yao quickly spoke up to explain, pointing to Shen Zhijie and introducing him: "This is my cousin, he looks very energetic." She then pointed to Shen Zhijie's head, "But he's a little dim-witted."
Shen Zhijie narrowed his eyes slightly, a smile playing on his lips as he pointed at Xiao Mu and said to the staff, "This is my brother-in-law." He then looked at Xiao Mu, hooked his arm around his shoulder, and whispered, "Come on!"
"Call me brother."
Xiao Mu chuckled lightly, ignoring Shen Zhijie.
After realizing they weren't being threatened, the staff stopped interfering with the group and helped them check in before telling them to leave quickly so as not to delay the others from checking in.
The three arrived at the single room and unexpectedly ran into Nuoyi and Nuofan there. It seemed that they had returned after searching for supplies for Shen Yu.
Nuoyi saw the slight smirk on Shen Zhijie and the others' lips and said sarcastically, "Heh, you guys are still alive!"
"What's wrong? Do you have anywhere to stay?"
“If you have nowhere to stay, Mr. Shen can still take you in.”
Jiang Yao walked past Nuoyi, glanced in Nuoyi's direction, and said to Shen Zhijie, "We both have the surname Shen, how come we are so different in character?"
Shen Zhijie looked at Jiang Yao in a daze, wondering if she was praising him or insulting him.
After hearing Jiang Yao's words, Nuoyi pursed his lips, his body trembled slightly, and pointed in the direction the group had left, saying, "If you have the guts, don't beg us later."
"snort."
Xiao Mu remained quiet throughout, watching Jiang Yao and Shen Zhijie beat the dog.
When they arrived at their lodgings, it was quite unfortunate; Shen Yu lived in the building right across from theirs.
