Chapter 7 Buy Whatever You Think of

The next morning, Nan Xiangwan slept until noon before getting up. He rubbed his aching head and thought to himself that he would never drink so much again.

Then she got up and took a shower, since she had to go to the warehouse to collect goods in the afternoon and then continue to stock up. Her houses had started to be sold one after another in the past two days, and she was just waiting to sign and transfer the ownership on the same day.

Looking at the funds in your bank card, you still have to work hard, otherwise it will soon become waste paper.

After all, in later generations, resources were obtained by exchanging crystal cores.

I picked up my phone, opened a food delivery website, and started ordering food. Before I knew it, I had ordered a whole bunch of food.

Nan Haochen is a heavy drinker; he got drunk last night and hasn't gotten out of bed yet, sleeping soundly.

Nan Xiangwan took out her notebook and started making a list, marking everything she had bought and hadn't bought. Since she wasn't planning to go out for the next couple of days, she decided to renovate the house first. After all, she would have to live there for at least a year after the apocalypse before she could leave. The apocalypse started with extremely hot weather, followed by sandstorms, then blood rain, which was also the key to triggering superpowers and the virus that turned people into zombies. After the zombie outbreak, the weather immediately turned extremely cold before returning to normal. However, natural disasters continued to follow.

Nan Xiangwan felt uncomfortable just thinking about the apocalypse; she had had enough of that kind of life.

But she was powerless to save the world and only wanted to survive until the new era.

I put down my notebook, went downstairs to pick up my takeout, ate lunch by myself, and drove off alone without waking my younger brother.

After arriving at the warehouse, the deliverymen began to arrive one after another. Looking at the boxes of supplies, Nan Xiangwan felt extremely at ease. This was the capital for living in the apocalypse.

After all the supplies were delivered, Nan Xiangwan closed the gate and started turning off the power to receive the goods.

Only after the warehouse was completely emptied did he leave satisfied, and then went directly to the renovation company.

"Hello, I need to renovate a villa, it's an urgent job, do you take it?"

The staff had never met such a direct person before. He went straight to the point as soon as he entered the room, without any small talk or even asking about the price.

"Hello, there's an extra charge for rush jobs. I wonder if that's acceptable to you, miss?"

Nan Xiangwan replied without hesitation, "Sure, money is no problem. But I need top-quality materials. The gate has to be stainless steel, the walls have to be raised to 5 meters and have an electric fence installed on top, and all the doors and windows inside have to be stainless steel with shatterproof glass. Basically, the sturdier the better."

"Um...Miss, are you building a prison?"

"No, my house was broken into a few days ago. It was just my brother and me living there. My brother got sick from the shock. I'm renovating the house for future safety. You know how sparsely populated the villa area is. If something happens, no one will notice. So it's better to make the house more secure and safer."

"Oh, in that case, it's definitely better to install something more secure, but it'll cost quite a bit, you see..."

"Here you go, this is a check for a deposit of 50 million. Any overpayment will be refunded and any underpayment will be collected. I hope construction can begin tomorrow. Also, the materials must not be of inferior quality. If I find any, I will file a complaint against you."

The receptionist took the check and immediately said with a smile, "Don't worry, our materials are guaranteed to be genuine and of the highest quality."

"That's good. Give me the receipt. I'll leave you my address too. Call me if you need anything."

"Okay, I'll write you the order form now."

Nan Xiangwan took the completed receipts and drove away.

With the home renovation finalized, we now need a large solar-powered generator, otherwise we'll either die from the heat or the cold if the whole city experiences a power outage.

Speaking of extremely hot weather, you also need an air cooler, an ice maker, and of course, popsicles are indispensable. So I immediately went to the popsicle wholesale market and bought a bunch of popsicles to be delivered tomorrow.

Then they ordered 100 generators, 100 ice makers, and even 500 refrigerators, leaving the sales staff bewildered. "Are they buying so many to open a store?"

Nan Xiangwan doesn't care what others think; she's buying whatever comes to mind these days.

Nan Xiangwan was busy in the city until evening before she finally stopped. Then she saw a snack street, parked her car and walked in.

Looking at all kinds of delicious food, Nan Xiangwan was going crazy with cravings. Since her rebirth, she had been eating non-stop every day, but for someone who hadn't eaten delicious food for 10 years, that little bit of food was simply not enough to satisfy her cravings.

Especially her favorite stinky tofu, giant squid, takoyaki, hot and sour noodles, sweet and sour pork, cream-filled fried cakes, grilled cold noodles, hand-pulled pancakes, spare rib rice cakes, Huainan beef soup, Beihai shrimp cakes, duck blood vermicelli soup, skewers, crab roe soup dumplings, Changsha sausages—she just can't count them all. Now she just wants to stock up on some of each kind of snack, because she really won't be able to eat them anymore in the future.

Then I started sweeping through the whole street, buying up everything I liked to eat. I did it so fast that I didn't stop until I bought too much and the car couldn't hold it all. But before leaving, I still ordered some for the next day. Anyway, I don't have anything to do now, so I'll just check off the food street every day. After the house renovation is finished, I'll take my younger brother to other places to stock up on local specialties.

Right now, nothing is more important to her than food. Speaking of food, she remembers that the land in her space hasn't been planted yet, so she thinks about going home to order some seeds. She also needs to buy a few fruit trees. Just thinking about being able to eat fruit in the apocalypse makes her feel happy. She doesn't even want to miss out on durian, which is her favorite fruit.

Just thinking about it made my mouth water, so as soon as I got home I placed an order for several boxes of Musang King.

When Nan Haochen saw his sister return, he said with a mournful expression, "Why didn't you take me out today, sister?"

"Seeing you were sleeping so soundly, I didn't want to wake you up. Anyway, I can handle a lot of things on my own. Have you had dinner yet? If not, I'll get you some from my space."

"I've already eaten, but since you weren't home, I was really bored. I couldn't go out to play with my classmates, and games weren't fun either. So I spent the whole afternoon shopping at home, and before I knew it, 20 million was gone. We'll be getting a lot of deliveries these next few days. Don't you think that's too conspicuous?"

“My brother is right to think things through. It is a bit conspicuous. How about this, I’ll buy a truck tomorrow and go out a few times every day. If the apocalypse comes and people come to us asking for food, we can just say that we delivered the goods before. Anyway, no one will know what kind of work we do.”

"Okay, it's decided then. Let's call it a day. You should get some rest too, you've had a long day."

"Okay, then I'll go back to my room to rest. Goodnight."

Goodnight. (?′?`?)
